Do you know how St Patrick's day came around? Do you know the meaning of the day?

it's the Feast Day for Irealand's Patron Saint, Sanit Patrick

The only things I know about St Patty's Day are:
- people wear green
- it has something to do with Irish things
- leprechauns and pots of gold and rainbows
- corned beef
- pubs

It's become a secular drinking holiday but it's the Catholic Churches victory holiday over the "snakes" (pagans) of Ireland.

St.Patrick converted a lot of us that worshiped nature by explaining the cross with a four leaf shamrock. Kinda a bait and switch. Funny thing is for a lot of pagans the cross was already seen as a symbol of the sun and didn't really need explaining. XD

... Huh. Is that what its all about? xD

and he drove all the snakes out of Ireland

... Wait. What? Why? Is that why RAK is no snakes?
