I have tryed i know how to right some..... Yeah manga got me into it cause i think if you know it and the culture it helps you understand the manga and more about how who ever made the manga got its ideas :shock:

Yes, definitely makes me want to take japanese. Im planning on taking it next semester as an extra class. I hear its very interesting and that if you look at kanji and whatnot as art and not writing so much its easier to get and remember.

I actually have always wanted to learn Japanese ever since I was introduced to anime and manga art. plus I find the country and the culture fascinating. There is a worldwide JLP test (Japanese Language Proficiency test) given, I think, yearly. You can go online, order study material, and find out where and when the test is being given.
