There is one in every town, though. Also, there are always pokémon in a town or such, too, so even if wild ones attack, the trained ones can defend the peoples.

True, but that's the whole reason why people who travel -need- pokémon. Otherwise they could just travel on their own.
Pokémon were first trained for travellers, to keep themselves safe. Only later did it become what it is "now". XD (sounds so funny) Sort of how knights did jousts to keep themselves strong during times of peace.

...they die? ^,^ No, the towns from whence pokémon trainers start are usually in an area where kinder and weaker pokémon live. They were chosen exactly because of that. :nods:
