@Amane - If you've ever eaten a fig newton, that's exactly what they taste like. There's not much added to the cookies that make them taste wildly different from the fruit.

@Amane - I've always enjoyed them. I like some of the other fruit newtons too, but they tend to be too sweet for me. Which is crazy, but they dump a lot of sugar into some of those berry newtons.

I have about 25 of them ready to ship off to Guidepost's "Knit for Kids". They send them to needy kids all over the world.
