Okay! I just wanted to give a quick update - found the thread (the link didn't work for me for some reason) finally! Didn't think to check your profile to see threads you created to find it haha! I think I have the introduction finished if you want to take a look at it and tell me what you think. I'll work on characters etc. later on and tweak the introduction if I need to within the next couple of days! Very excited to get the roleplay started! :)

So! Now that we are seated in the thread. I can ask some other questions. What does Shintennou mean? Or, at least what does it refer to, the group while they are evil or before that? Maybe I just missed it in the Wikipedia article.
Yeah, I start my 3 days of 12 hour shifts today, so I probably won't be making too much progress until Tuesday afternoon. The intro looks really good! I like it, and it answered my question on if Darien in the past should be called "Prince Endymion" or not lol.
Hahaha! No biggie at all! It took me awhile to think of it - it's been awhile since I've had to utilize anything like that XD;
I've always thought it referred to them as Endymion's guardians and then the Four Heavenly Kings was what Beryl named them when she turned them evil.. But perhaps Shitennou means "Four Heavenly Kings" and I just didn't notice... Let me do a little digging and double check as now I'm not 100% sure - that way we don't call them the wrong thing! I think they may address it in Crystal, so I'll double check there first and see how they address them in reference to the past and go from there. I know their names are the same, so it would just be a question of whether they are the Shintennou Guardians or whether they are Guardians then Shintennou.
Yay! I'm glad it sounded okay and flowed well. I was a little unsure! If you don't mind Endymion (en-dee-me-oh-n) I think maybe we should stick with Endymion because he's only Darien (or Mamoru) in his reincarnated life (except for in the English version I believe), so I don't think it should be interchangeable until Crystal Tokyo because that is when it's the adult life of Mamoru and Usagi (or Darien and Serena). In Crystal Tokyo I think it would be more appropriate to introduce Usako, Darien, Serena, etc. (whichever we want to go with) as terms of endearment versus during the Silver Millennium era because those names weren't thought of yet. I got to thinking about that after I made the thread and I'm like "Hmmm... We should talk about that!" So I popped it in there while I was writing it and figured I'd double check with you on it when we got a chance to talk!
Also I think what I might do is create a couple of flow charts for characters as a quick reference as to who is who and who is with who etc. That way we can have it here to reference back to without having to look it up all of the time.

Shitennou (四天王; Four Heavenly Kings) was the title of Queen Beryl's four generals: Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite, and Kunzite. They were each named after a different stone. Jadeite and nephrite are two varieties of jade; zoisite's other name is blue tanzanite; and kunzite is a type of spodumene.

Yeah, Endymion sounds good. At that point though, calling the princesses Amy, Mina, Rei/Raye, and Lita doesn't seem like a good idea since those are their reincarnated names. We could just call them Princess Mercury (etc.), and Prince Endymion could call them "Lady Mercury (etc.)," so on and so forth. Not sure what we could call them otherwise. Lol

In the manga, Prince Endymion resided in the Golden Kingdom in Elysion with his guardians, the Shitennou. He fell in love with Princess Serenity and went to meet with her as often as he could, but the two lovers were found and separated by Kunzite and Sailor Venus.
As in the anime, Prince Endymion fought to defend the Moon Kingdom against Queen Beryl's forces, who in this continuity were led by his brainwashed advisors, the Shitennou. Endymion fell in battle and, in despair, Princess Serenity also killed herself, unwilling to be separated from him.
See, this is why I think they're called Shitennou though (which I ALWAYS spell with an extra 'n'.... xD) - it's kind of conflicting. I've always referred to them as Shitennou in the past and Four Heavenly Kings as their evil version through Beryl because they became her Kings as she became Queen through Chaos.
Hmm - I don't think so though - I've never heard of them being referred to as their planets other than as Sailor Senshi - I can double check but I'm pretty sure their names are the same as when they were princesses - the only name changes were Serenity to Usagi and Endymion to Mamoru in order to differentiate their past life and their reincarnated state. I wouldn't feel comfortable with calling them planets since they are the Princess of the planet and not named for the planet, you know? But at the same time when you go to their Sailor profiles on this site, Sailor Venus - WikiMoon, then their Aliases are Princess Venus, Princess Mercury, etc. but in reference to the Manga only. Which would explain why I've never heard them referred to as that.
I'll have some time later in the week to check it out and get everything straight before we officially start, but if they are referred to as their planets in the past life then we can refer to them as Venus, Mercury, etc. instead of Mina, Amy, etc. then we can definitely switch it and go with that instead. :3 In that case we would refer to them as Venus, Mercury, etc. and Endymion would refer to them as Princess Mercury etc., until he became more familiar with them, same with Kunzite and the others. Jeez - who knew it could be so conflicting! This is what happens when there have been so many adaptations of one story LOL!!

Yeah, I don't know what to tell you. I guess we can call them whatever we want. I take it there were scenes then referring to each other in the Silver Millennium as their old name? I didn't think there were that many scenes like that. Then again, I haven't done much extensive research (by re-watching the anime for example) just what I've seen around the Wiki articles. And yes, Wiki Moon is where I got my idea to call them that. The whole idea I was working off of was if Serenity and Endymion have different names, it would be too much of a coincidence that some would have the exact same name in the future you know? In the end, this is our story, and it's our job to fill in the gaps that are mixed up all around the story.
So, I was just starting to put together what my first post might be... And I had a thought... How old are Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite, and Kunzite when Serenity is born? Since they are his guardians, wouldn't one of them take Prince Endymion to Serenity when she is born?
Oh crud - I thought I had responded to this! I'm so sorry for the delay! I swore I had posted prior to leaving for my trip but apparently not! Also - just as a heads up (I was only gone over night so I didn't mention this trip) - I'm going to be gone from Thursday to Monday or Tuesday of next week on vacation - I'm planning on bringing the laptop with me but I don't know how much time I'll have on it - just wanted to let you know before I disappeared for most of the week!
I know Luna refers to all of them at some point, but she could refer to them as scouts - I can't remember the conversation without looking back but that's really easy to do :3 I watch Crystal but it's every 2 weeks and it's been awhile since they've done the Serenity arc because they're just wrapping up with the Black Moon Clan arc now - but like I said, easy to check back and take a look! :3 You make a really good point though so I'm going to double check hopefully this weekend and I'll let you know what they say in the clips! If you want, I can also make notes of what they do divulge in the story for Crystal, same with the original arc (which I'm re-watching as well) when I get to that section :3
I completely agree - I feel like if we're going to do this, we should do so with as much factual information as we can because we want to try and fill in the story that's never been told, but it has to coordinate with what HAS been told, otherwise it's completely a work of fiction and is just a fan story based on the concept - although that's kind of what we're doing, I still want to stay true to the original story as well so I don't want to call them what they aren't truly called and make things more confusing haha!
Huh - that's true.. I don't think they ever say! Based on their visual and how they act, this is my idea of how they're aged from oldest to youngest: Kunzite, Nephrite, Jadeite, Zoisite - and I would say they're around the same age as Serenity's guardians, perhaps a little older or younger - but give or take their age. I think the only one not in the same age group is Serenity! Since Kunzite and Venus know each other best, my suspicion is that Kunzite and Venus had a prior history as well, so I can see him being the one accompanying Darien as well - especially given how regal and formal he is compared to the others :3

In the anime they seemed a bit older than the sailor scouts, which I assume is in similar age to Darien (in the anime of course). Whom, originally in their past life were all around the same age... But wouldn't that be weird having a 5 year old bringing another 5 year to meet the Moon Princess? Even if he was 8-12, that would still be rather odd, such a young child escorting another young child. Unless Kunzite was much older (15 minimum). Or on the other hand, maybe Kunzite came along, and perhaps some other adult brought them? Perhaps Serenity's father? Although I never see him mentioned or shown as far as I can remember. Kunzite and the others are just older already, and considering their lengthened lifespan as guardians, they just appear to be in their early 20's for a longer amount of time. At that point, they could just look like they are in their teens, and still be believable close enough in age to the other princesses.
Maybe Venus was the chief person to meet and keep up political relations between Earth and the rest of the solar system? That way, it would help develop their relationship, while realizing that maybe something that had happened between them would help facilitate the idea that nothing should go on between Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion.
That's exactly what happened haha! I felt so bad when I realized what had happened - I'm like "Oh shoot. She's going to think I either disappeared or quit or something!!"
That's true.. Darien was 19 when Serena was 14 in the reincarnated state, and I imagine their past life situation was similar. So let's go with that then - Darien is in the 5-8 bracket with Serenity's guardians, then his guardians are in the 8-12 bracket. Also even though they're guardians, they're still human and of Earth, so they don't have extended life spans or anything until they become servants for Beryl because Queen Serenity seals them all as they are, then when they awaken Chaos is giving them life. The only ones with the extended life are the Moon Kingdom and the planetary guardians because of the Silver Crystal. The Earth doesn't have that so they wouldn't receive those benefits.
Ohhh no no no - I thought you meant as an addition to the royal family! Yeah - Darien's parents would have been there as well because it was a political thing. Something happened early on and suddenly the Moon Kingdom wasn't allowed to go to Earth anymore. It never says what happens, but I know Serenity always traveled to Earth anyways to see Endymion, and Venus and Kunzite caught them and tried to put an end to it. I know that the father is never mentioned, so I assume he died before Serenity was born as there's no mention or reference to him at all for her entire life. So I'm guessing it was just Queen Serenity. I do know that by the time Darien and Serenity meet again, both of his parents are dead, so perhaps that's why there's no more traveling between Kingdoms? Perhaps the Earth people blamed the Moon Kingdom blamed them for their deaths even though that's not the case? And that's how Beryl was able to turn everyone over so quickly when it became apparent the Prince was in love with the Moon Princess?
And that makes sense as well about Venus - she's the leader of the guardians so that would make sense as to her being a political envoy or accompanying the Queen and/or Princess for anything to do with Earth, and while Serenity is too little to really develop feelings or anything, she and Kunzite are old enough to start developing feelings in their teens, and that would make sense as to why they're so against the relationship developing and why Venus is the only one out of all of them to really remember and hold on to her memories of Darien's guardians. There's always been a little question behind that but that is very logical!

Hopefully my week won't be as filled as it's been in the past couple. I actually will be home today and tomorrow, and my BF is coming over on Thursday. Friday and Saturday will be filled up with BF time and race time, I'll be participating in a Color Run (5k) on Saturday, and the BF wants to hit up an amusement park afterwards... I might be dead after the race though =_=
At least you get a couple of days as a break lol!! The race sounds really fun though - is it a local thing or a part of the amusement park? I've never heard of a Color Run before! I can imagine being tired after the race though - is your BF racing as well? Maybe you'll get lucky and won't have to do the amusement park until Sunday lol!
Color runs are awesome! Usually they are 5k (3.1 miles) and it usually goes for 3 hours (so you could technically walk it if you wanted to). At various color stations (placed throughout the race) people throw color cornstarch and other color stuff at you, and by the end your just covered in different colors. For now I'm only interested in 5ks, I've always sucked at running. A glow run sounds cool too. Running at night, with glow-y stuff on :)
Yeah, he's running with me. That way I have someone to keep my company :) Sunday isn't an option, I took Saturday off for the race, so I'll be working Sun and Mon like usual.
The race is in DC, so we'll take a metro to it. The amusement park is like 1.5 hours away from him, but we got season passes cause I live 30 min away from it. Usually we don't get to do anything together on the weekends since I work 12 hour shifts, so he's got some big ideas for Saturday because of it.
Omg - those sound really fun! And the glow in the dark ones too - I never knew they did those! That aspect would really make the race more enjoyable for all - I'd definitely be down for those! I'd probably be one of the ones walking LOL Although I was a pretty active synchro skater, since my accident I've been horribleee at long running so I stick to walking lol But if you have that long I could totally do it!
Ooohh! Gotcha! Well, if it's a semi-long ride then you should be able to rest up before the park! Definitely don't want to pass up the chance to do stuff like that if it doesn't happen very often. :3 That's how we were when we were down in PA for vacation - we crammed in as much as we could each day because we were only there from Friday night until Monday morning and have never been!
Since I'm not an avid runner, it needs to be super exciting/fun for me to want to do it. The only other athletic-y activities I was interested in was a Ridiculous Obstacle Course and the Run For Your Life (zombie obstacle course). Both I think are not currently running anymore sadly. Well, there is a similar Zombie Run, but since it doesn't have the obstacle course stuff, I wasn't as interested in it.
True, we'll see how I feel afterwards. It's funny, whenever he runs, his legs hurt afterwards. Whenever I run, it's my lungs that can't keep up with it. I guess woman have more muscle strength in their legs though, so it's not surprising. Yeah, now that the water park is open, we'll probably be going just the two of us on Thursdays, at least we have that day at the amusement park together.
Did you get to visit Hershey park? I've never been, but I do want to go there someday :3 What else did you do? Any site seeing?

Haha - I think so! I've noticed the same sort of trend back in high school, so I definitely think it's a difference in how we breathe and use our legs - I mean, a lot of it its probably the shoes and such we wear that give us that extra muscle definition where most guys don't have that!
Oh that will be fun! I haven't been to a water park in years! And when I went I didn't go on the water rides, but rather the other half of the park that wasn't water based xD;
I did! Well, sort of - I didn't go into the actual park, but I went to Chocolate World and the Hershey Gardens - then we went to Turkey Hill for the Turkey Hill Experience and to a couple of outlet malls for some shopping while we were over in that area - we also went to Lancaster to visit the fake Amish communities, which totally pissed us off because they were sooo commercialized and fake lol They are SO not Amish! Then again, we live with literally the STRICTEST and oldest Amisch community in the country, so we're a little biased I guess because people who are familiar with the Lancaster "Amish" come and see our Amish and are so shocked lol Just depends on what you're used to I guess! But it was still a fun trip. :3 We hit PA at the perfect time because EVERYTHING opened the 23/24/25 - definitely a great weekend to go! And it was right before the 90 degree weather hit, so we had 70s and low 80s!
Note if you ever get down that way and go to Hershey - go to a Giant food store and get the tickets for the park cheaper! They take a significant amount off of the tickets because they buy in bulk - so definitely check that out before you go :3 The next time we head that way that's what we're doing because I'd like to go to the actual park next time! There just wasn't enough time this trip :3 Same with Philadelphia and Gettysburg - not enough time because it was Memorial Weekend and would be crazyyyyy packed - so we decided to wait until next trip (which probably won't be until next year) and go at a later time even though it'll be hotter so it won't be as busy and we can do the historical touring :3 It was soo much fun though - definitely worth the 7 hour drive!!
By the way - just noticed your avi - I love the layering you did on the dress and cloak!! What item is the cloak from?
Haha, I never thought about our muscles being that way because of our shoes. That would totally make sense though!
Ah, since I live so close to it, I went a LOT as a kid, and then recently started going again. I usually get a season pass, then spend between 2-4 hours at the park when I do go. That way I don't get too bored of going, and if there's too long of a line on one ride I'll just move on to another. Though the water park is definitely my favorite part, nice chlorinated water (I hate lake or sea water) to cool me off on a summer day! Though if it's not blistering hot I will enjoy the roller coasters instead.
Hahaha! Would it have been as interesting if they were exactly like your Amish community though? Sounds like you had a good time, that is especially good that it was cooler. I avoided going running outside today because of the heat... I'll definitely keep that in mind when I go!

Yes! XD; Our Amish are NORMAL and I loveee their goods. These "Amish" did GUIDED BUS TOURS!!! And all of the "Amish" shops had little to no Amish goods - it was all stereotypical crap like outhouses and Amish statues - it was sooo bad xD;
We did have a good time though! It was definitely worth the trip, and since we didn't go to Lancaster JUST for the Amish we weren't too mad - it was our "downtime" day so we had time to kill anyways - had Dutch Wonderland not been so busy we would have checked that out - but it was insaneeeely packed lol!

So then! Why don't we start the RP? Would you like the first scene to begin with perhaps Darien and Kunzite arriving to the moon via... Well, I don't really know how we should explain that. Or we can just leave it vague and not mention how it happened? Or say it was a portal/teleporter type deal?
Oh wow - that's something we haven't thought about at all! And I don't think it ever really says! I know the scouts and Serenity have "Planet Power", which surrounds them in a light and allows them to fly, hover, etc. - in the original anime they had to hold hands if they broke hands it would break, but in Crystal I know they can break hands and it doesn't do anything - the light is there until they dissipate it. Kunzite and the others all float as well, but that could be because of their new powers granted by Chaos, and they teleport.
Perhaps we could instead start it not with them getting off a ship or anything, but rather being greeted by the Moon Kingdom's people as they gather in front of the palace to celebrate the birth, and so you could set up what it looks like outside and what Darien's impression etc. is as they make their way through the crowd towards the palace and enter? And do the same when they leave - we can kind of write over it for now and not really explain how that happens just yet - I still have a couple of episodes in Crystal to go through for that - I know Tuxedo has a "power" in the new anime, Tuxedo Smoking Bomber or something like that - but I don't know if that comes before or after he's touched by the Silver Crystal - I think it's a result of the crystal though and he gets powers transferred to him in the reincarnation - I don't think they're there beforehand - same with his guardians - I think they're just normal human guardians without any "magic" or what have you - like, they don't teleport until Beryl/Chaos get into the picture - but we will have to figure that out, especially for the battle, because hordes of people show up on the moon from earth - so that's going to be tricky - but luckily that's at the end of our RP!
If you want to compile the notes into one cohesive post - I'll gather the notes on the remaining episodes and post them - then the repeats will be weeded out - we can start the RP though because we are starting with the younger selves first and growing into the "present", so we still have some posts to decide things etc - I think we have enough to start though! Then if Crystal doesn't in fact say anything about him, then we can determine that ourselves and figure out ways that fit in with the story and go from there!
Sorry it took me so long to reply. My boyfriend has been taking up a fair chunk of my time, and he has a habit of wasting time without realizing it. And he knew I wanted to write a post for our RP yesterday! Oh well.
Also I added the notes you had assembled and put it in the notes section at the beginning of our thread. I'll probably combine more notes later when I get a chance (hopefully tomorrow).
