The North. It is a cold and harsh land, vast in size but small in population. It remains relatively isolated from the rest of the Kingdom, with a few small ports to boast of and a mountainous range lying between itself and the South with only one small road that allows for safe and easy passage. As such, the North still holds to the old ways - still valuing honor and hard work above all else and worshiping the old Gods.

Talk of civil war is common amongst the Northerners who wish to break away from the South due to the differences in the people, and small bands of rebels have been known to attack Southerners on the High road while they attempt passage into the North.

The South. It is an economic and prosperous land. Smaller than the North, but brimming over with people. It has the largest sea ports in the world – and as such is a center for trading. People from all over the worlds travel here, bringing their traditions and God with them.
Southerners fear that the North is getting to rebellious – and in attempt to placate his people the King sent forth to meet with the Northern lords. It was decided, that too unite the people a marriage would be held between the Kings own son, and the daughter of the Great Lord in the North. It was too create another rein of peace over the land. Though, upon his return the King was attacked and he and his retinue brutally murdered.

To prevent civil war from breaking out there and then – the Great Lord in the North sent the remains of all the bodies back to the south along with his daughter in attempts to show that the North did want peace, and the murder was the work or rebels that would face the most severe punishment upon their capture.

And that is where our story begins... When Lady Ayra of House Eicee became the betrothed to the new King.

King Jarred of House Rolland

Age: 20
First son of King Jakob of House Rolland, now deceased. Born and raised in the South. His mother, Queen Marley of house Rolland, deceased, passed away during childbirth. Half-brother to Prince Geoff of house Rolland - Son of the Queen Consort, Lady Antibell of House Rolland.
His childhood was spend learning of his Kingdom and his world through studies of Language, History, and Geography. He spent some time as squire to a knight, learning sword play - but was found unsuited to the task and spent his time studying battle strategy instead. Not fond of his Mother in Law, or half-sibling - he remained mostly to himself in recent years putting his mind to the books and surrounding himself with trusted advisers. He was quick to claim the throne, and replace his fathers counsel members with his own.

Lady Ayra of House Eci

Age: 22
Youngest child of the Great Lord in the North. At 22 she remains the only female child unmarried. Her childhood was spent learning the ways of the North. Horsemanship, archery, and survival are what she knows. But a lady is not without manners - as a Lady in the North she was subject to grueling lessons of chivalry, obedience, and politeness. As well as daily lessons with her other siblings of Arithmetic, History, and Medicine. Riding to the South - she was quickly aware of how different the cultures are. Now, having only been in the South for a moons turn - she fears for the people of the Kingdom and herself and waits to see what will happen at the hands of this new cruel king.
