  • [list:c161c34580]The Story of Two Worlds
---One world is full of magick and technology beyond the knowledge of the other world. There are rifts that make it possible to travel between each world; they are called Gates. Each Gate opens in different spots in different areas in either world. When a group of men and women from one world travel into the other world, they realize that it is a world parallel to their own, with a twin of themselves and everything, but their technology more primative.
---The primative world becomes frightened by the appearance of the visitors from the other world. They manage to find another Gate and set up buildings used to study the others in their world. Soon, their beliefs and ruling system begins to spread. The leader of the governmental system becomes twisted as the studies commence and he begins to breed hybrids in the laboratory in the alien world.
---A miniature army of the alien beings, classified as Elementals, is formed. The Shadows, the ones who came from the primative world, react by creating their own army of Colourless. The Elementals only wish to drive the Shadows out of their world; the buildings they erected have caused a lot of harm to the Elementals' nature-friendly world. The Shadows refuse to leave after learning how to harness the power of the Elementals within the Colourless, and then use it against the Elementals.
---While the Elementals have raised an army to fight against the Shadows, there are also a few who believe there is another way besides brute force to drive them out of their world. Perhaps, as they believe as well, there is a way for them to coincide, to live happily among the others without fighting.[/list:u:c161c34580]
  • [list:c161c34580]The Elementals, The Colourless, and The Shadows
The Elementals come from a world called Terra. Their world is like an early version of Earth, but they have technology and power beyond any person's comprehnsion. Each Elemental has the ability to manipulate his or her own element. The learned elements are: air, earth, fire, light, shadow, and wind.

The Colourless come from a laboratory in an unknown area in the world of Terra. Their creators hail from Earth, a world parallel to Terra. They share a similarity with Elementals that they have the ability to manipulate an element given to them, but they are different. One known difference is that they are basically dogs of the Shadows. While Colourless are commonly created in test-tubes, there are a few known to have once been regular humans; the latter would simply be experimented on with injections.

The Shadows come from Earth. They live in what is known as modern times; basically, the era we are living in right now. There are very many fantastical things many people believe, and this is one that has been on the minds of many: a parallel world. The taught knowledge and technology is on a lower level compared to Terra's. Jealous of the parallel world's greater power, a section of the government is formed to experiment on and study the Elementals. The leader of the scientific group eventually goes mad and creates his own breed of Elementals known as Colourless, and becomes bent on ruling Terra.[/list:u:c161c34580]

  • [list:d992f70fd2]The Elementals
Puppetmaster: Rin Namami.
Name: Alexandria Moore.
Age: Eighteen.
Race: Elemental.
Gender: Female.
Status/Class: Commoner/Songstress.
Element: Light.
Weapons: She usually handles one-handed weapons created from her element.
Description: Alexandria stands about five-feet-three-inches tall and has a curvy figure. Even though she has a medium-small bone structure, she appears to be a bit on the thin side. Her skin is of a pale beige colour and freckles dot her arms and face. Both of her irises are a dark shade of brown, an almost black colour upon first examination. Alexandria's hair is naturally straight and is a rainbow of browns. She usually puts her hair in a french braid or keeps it down while brading some of it behind her head. Her clothing depends on what she feels like wearing each day.
Personality: She is a quiet, fun-loving girl. She is loyal and loving to those close to her. Alexandria is curious about her surroundings, is quite creative and day-dreams a lot.
History: Alexandria grew up in the world of Kae and has never been in any other world. She lives with her parents and a baby brother. Though she is an elemental, she did not develop her power until she was about thirteen. Since she was born, Alexandria has been trained to sing and dance in front of the royals during celebrations; like her mother and grandmother and so on. Her life has had nothing out-of-the-ordinary happen, she hopes that might change one day.

-----*&*-----

Puppetmaster: Sinspiration
Name: Azriel Itzal
Age: 19
Race: Elemental
Gender: Male
Status/Class: Mercenary / Treasure Hunter
Element: Shadow

Weapons:
Twin handguns powered by alchemical crystals created by Azriel's father. The crystals react to Azriel's Element and shoots energy bullets infused with said element. The shots can be charged with stronger force but time is required to infuse the necessary energy.
Morph Staff. This unusual weapon is actually segmented into three separate parts. They are linked together with chains that can be lengthened and shortened to the point of connecting them as a staff. By channeling his energy into the Morph Staff he can create many different weapons, be it a pair of sickles, a lance, a spear, a scythe a poleaxe and many other variable weaponry.

Description: -X-
Fairly normal skin, a yellowy peach with a slight tan from much arduous work out in the sunlight, Azriel’s face, however, is a good depiction of the twisted heart within, almost always in a malicious grin, his dark amethyst eyes placing a chill in the spin of those to suffer his harsh words and look into those purple irises. His hair is stylized on the right hand side, covering the left eye and a scar down through it that he attained during the fierce training with his grandfather, at the back it extends between his shoulders to mid-back, tied in a ponytail with a black metal clasp. Azriel’s body is strong yet slim and lithe, not fragile just lighter than normal.
Azriel’s clothes are a replication of the old family formal style, though fitted and adjusted for holding his weapons. To start off beneath, he wears a pair of shorts with extending mesh up his body and down his legs, covered by his vest and a pair of long leather trousers that widen near the bottom, the left thigh wrapped with two belts, but not too tight. On his chest he additionally wears a sleeved shirt that extends past the hips, coloured cream white and kept well cleaned. Leaving the hefty leather long coat, its hems coloured dark purple to match his eyes, the wrists widening out and belted over.
Around his waist and torso he wears thick leather belts, holding up the crossed holsters for his guns behind his back, and below his jacket he wears an additional belt that holds the specially crafted ‘pounce’ on his right hand side for the three sections of his Morph Staff.

Personality:
Having the least pleasant life as far as socializing was concerned, Azriel despises the company of other people to a certain degree, never being one to turn down company if it means they are competent and not afraid of him, he does, however, like to revel in the fact that he ‘is’ feared by some people as the latest demon of his family.
Azriel has a sharp tongue like his mother, and a mindset not to be envied as he believes in such things as the great not being strong but the strong being great or other such delusions as only the truly strong survive. Azriel has a mean streak that makes death itself seem like a pretty generous escape if you are ever on his bad side.
However Azriel does have one thing about him that is not so dangerous, an innate desire to help his people if they ever require his help, indeed he is insulting, rude, brash and sometimes quite temperamental, would punish himself for failing to protect those he feels need protecting.
Azriel has a secret desire to have more people to care about and protect, friends, that is his greatest desire, for if he had them he would have more reason to become a stronger person.

History:
Originating from a commonly avoided family line, Azriel was never looked upon with favour from other children or even parents or teachers. With the dark history in his family of blood and terror seeping about wherever he went life had always been a misery for the child, forcing him into a sordid singularity, a solitude in which he grew to hate being around people, and the eyes, the stares they gave him for being a member of the dreaded Itzal family.
Sure there were some that accepted them, which was how they still survived to this day, but all the same it was considered best to avoid them than to converse or socialize with them in any way.
Tot his end the family was always one to keep itself busy and away from people. Azriel’s grandfather, Thanatos, was a great teacher in his own right, but he taught Azriel the ways of war and fighting, as well as telling stories of his days as a treasure hunter, a seeker of relics from the past as well as long lost items of value from simple treasure boxes loaded with gold to magical crystals of great power when in the right hands, this was where his father came in. Drakul dedicated himself to alchemy, though still being a deft hand at smithery and mechanics too, Drakul was a man of great learning and, using things that Thanatos had once found himself, as well as Azriel once he started his own career as a treasure hunter, he crafted items for his son as well as for military use, not only making sure his methods didn’t hurt nature but also that they wouldn’t require much consumption of nature beyond humans themselves.
The solution to this was to use a crystal he dubbed the Morph Crystal because of its reaction to certain special individuals like his son. As for selling his creations for use, this came down to his wife, Persephone, a diplomatic and intelligent woman as well as an excellent seller to the right ear. Azriels mother was feared as the ‘seductive voice’ of the Itzal family because often enough her sharp tongue and quick wit would help get things her way not to mention she’d been rumoured to once be a seducer and assassin of men.
As for Azriel, he grew, learning, from his dark family, their greatest arts, becoming a fierce combatant and a competent strategist.
Azriel still spends his days fighting and searching for the mother load, some discovery that will not only make him rich but remembered for his extraordinary discovery. As well as the great struggle he may have had to endure to do so.

  • [list:d992f70fd2]The Colourless
Name: Noah
Age: Unknown. He has been told that he is at least 17
Race: The Colorless
Gender: Male
Status/Class:
Element: Fire
Weapons: He carries two long, thin swords which he conceals beneath his coat, however, he likes to rely on his element.
Description: Noah

Noah, being albino, is very pale with white hair and skin. The only 'pigment' visible on his body is his abnormally red eyes. His build is very slender, with strong, evenly set shoulders and long limbs. He seems very lanky for his size, and still seems like he needs to grow into a few of his apendages. His hands and feet seem large compared to his somewhat short stature (noah stands at the height of/around 5'6). He has a pointed chin and nose with straight, white hair that usually ends up covering at most, half of his face. He may seem scrawny, but his arms, torso, and legs are actually quite muscular.

Noah carries himself in a rather stiff way, and nearly never slouches unless tired or exhausted. Also, he usually doesn't have an expression unless spoken too and often dazes and falls into deep thought when not paying attention.

His clothing is rather average, and very, very white. His usual attire consists of one large, bleached white, hooded trenchcoat, a skin tight, sleeveless, turtleneck shirt tucked into a pair of white slacks that are also tucked into a pair of white, steeltoed boots. Now, isn't that original?
Also one thing that people don’t normally notice, is the strange earing he wears on his left ear. It dangles down from a short chain and was his original ‘tag’ from the labrotory. It was meant to be the method in which he was tracked, but even now it is unkown to him whether it still works or not.

Personality: Noah was always reserved and quiet, ever sense his creation. However, he is becoming rather curious about the world he lives in and now is becoming quite rebelious toward his creators. His mind is maturing and he is becoming too inteligent than he was originally ment to be and is questioning his creators.

He isn't very social, and often is too truthful and blunt (not to mention that he has no tact). Noah likes his solitude and to watch people, instead of joining them in conversation. Also, he rather listen to a person speaking rather than to speak himself, and usually will only respond when asked a question or his opinion. Otherwise, he is very polite and will always say his 'please' and 'thank-you’s'. Noah has been in many ill-natured bar-fights by pure accident, but thankfully he usually wins.

Now, his perks! Noah, being the strange person he is, eats just about anything. Even if it’s still twitching with life it’s likely he’ll be inclined to bite it’s head off. Also, he’s a very good cook and is very talented at the waltz.

History: Noah is an artificial being. He was born and raised in the environment of the lab and was taught all things that his superiors wanted him to know. He had always been very obedient, and never disobeyed them. That was, until, he was sent on his fist mission into the real world, outside of the containment and safety of the lab.
He was much smarter than he was intended to be.
Noah became curious and interested of his new surroundings, and sought out libraries and other informational facilities, and finally when he was called back to his base, he reluctantly returned. He followed this schedual for awhile, following orders and coming back for more. So finally, he decided to leave on a mission and not come back.
He wandered the world aimlessly for awhile, searching for some sort of purpose. Noah had been so used to orders, and he could give himself none. However, he did begin to get jobs and earn his pay. He often worked over time, and because of his rather inhuman stamina, he was able to work long hours and earn plenty of money to live on.
Note: Do not ask him what his jobs were, he rather not answer.
Currently, he is still a wanderer and is usually found with his nose stuck in a book or other sort of information source.

Username: Alegretto
Name: Cassiel (originally Gabriel)
Age: 23
Race: Other Being- failed Colourless experiment
Gender: Genderless
Status/Class: Failed Experiment
Element: Shadow
Weapons: Cassiel has only one weapon, and its weapon of choice is a massive two-handed sword. The weapon is larger than it is, and is made form some unknown material. Indeed, no one is quite sure where Cassiel's blade came from. Perhaps it made the weapon. perhaps it stole the blade from one of Terra's inhabitants on a past raid. Few even try to ask, and none have found an answer.
Description: [x]

Cassiel is a tall being, standing just a few inches shy of a full seven feet in height, with electric red hair that falls in waves a few inches beyond its slim shoulders. What little skin that is visible is of a dusky, somewhat tanned tone. It is assumed that Cassiel's eyes are completely blue, for they gleam eerily from beneath the being's thick hood.

Very little of Cassiel is actually visible, though. It prefers to keep itself completely and constantly covered in a thick leather cloak dotted with rings, tiny bones and skulls, and iridescent purple feathers that come from (what is assumed to be) a great exotic bird.

Some say the feathers simply come from Cassiel, for the cloaked figure has two winglike apparatuses sprouting from it's back, and it has the bright violet feathers used in the being's outfit. Yet at the same time they seem to be wired onto the bare-boned structures. However, real or not, the small wings on Cassiel's back are completely useless.

Underneath the hooded robe, one can only guess at what Cassiel looks like. It never takes its heavy garment off. Originally Cassiel's figure was human, but a certain event that occured several years ago changed the being. How much though, none can say. Perhaps it is one thing best left undiscovered.

Personality: Cassiel is a quiet figure, and speaks so rarely that most people who have come across it have believed the construct to be a mute. It is only natural, though. Cassiel's life has been a one where it was not needed to speak, where it has been genetically programmed to be a silent lethal killing machine.

Cassiel is good at that. It hunts and kills without tire or remorse, and many speculate that Cassiel only takes pleasure in the death of its ordered victim. Cassiel takes its orders without question, though the being only responds to a very select group of people.

Until recently that was all it did. Cassiel was a puppet, and acted as such. It did nothing unless ordered to. It followed orders unquestioningly. It was no better than a mindless killing machine. In theory Cassiel is still only that, but recently he has begun to develop his own free will. It does not seem to exert it much at this point in time, though who knows? Maybe someday in the near future it will start making its own decisions, not mindlessly following orders as it has in the past.

History: Cassiel was one of the first Colourless experiments, though back when he was created, it was a radically different creation from what it is today. At first Cassiel was known as Gabriel, the Colourless of the light element. Gabriel was, at the time, a phenomenal success. He (Cassiel was a male at that point in time) went beyond all expectations in terms of performance, ability, and loyalty.

But then, while out on a field mission, something happened.

No one is sure what happened. Cassiel has no memory of the incident. According to it, he was chasing after some shadowy figure- he has no recollection of who or what it was, and then... Cassiel was what it is now, floating in a boat in the middle of a lake.

Confused, Cassiel returned tot he lab it had called home- only to be met with instant fear and barely-contained hostility. Cassiel's physical form changed so much that none recognized him. It took weeks to get everything sorted out, along which several unusual discoveries were made. Cassiel was not capable of controlling light any more. Now it was a being who could only manipulate the shadows. This and other things (mostly of the political nature) led to Cassiel being declared a failure in the project and being shrugged off. Despite the fact that it is no longer a proper Colourless and experiment, Cassiel still takes residence in the lab, though it is prone to wandrering off on its own from time to time. What it is that Cassiel does, though, no one is quite sure.

(( Sorry for such a long post. >__<;; ))

Alexandria held tightly to the reins of a chestnut mare. The horse's shoulders and the muscles in her neck twitch. A grumble came from the mare's throat and she shook her head, the reins making the sound of metal hitting metal. Alexandria pulled gently back on the reins a bit to try and calm the horse down. In reaction, the mare pulled her head down and stomped a hoof on the ground. Alexandria picked the mare’s head up by pulling back on the reins, and then turned the horse around. As the mare galloped away, the rider looked over her shoulder to a grey building.

“Didn’t I say to stay away from those prisons?”
“Yes, mum.”
“Then why did you go?”
“I was only observing it from far away.”
“You scared Molly out of her wits!”
“The horse is fine.”
Alexandria stuffed a couple apples in the leather bag tied around her waist. Her mother growled and turned back to cleaning the dishes when Alexandria tightened the knot to close the bag. The afternoon sun was hanging high in the sky; the other residents would be eating an afternoon meal by now or just finishing up the morning’s work. She sighed and walked down a cobblestone road. Alexandria was in a quaint towne sitting between the main city of the kingdom and a dull, grey building that came from the other world. Things started to seem a lot stressful since the building appeared. Not only that, but strange things happened; people who were once well-known vanished in the dead of night, never to be seen again. Rumours spread that they were taken to the grey building and were never going to be seen again.

Alexandria sighed. She brought the tail of her braid over her shoulder and brushed her bangs aside as she continued walking toward a shoppe. The quaint little towne was in possession of some of Terra’s most advanced technology, but it looked like an olde place in the medieval times of Earth. A warm wind blew, picking up leaves and dirt, creating little dust devils. She heard the water from the community well being played with by some of the water Elementals as she passed the towne centre.

“Morning, Doc,” she greeted the baker. He was not a doctor by any means. The name Doc was just a nickname given to him long ago when he saved someone’s life. The story is a long one and has nothing to do with Alexandria, so it will be left at that. Alexandria purchased a couple loaves of bread and put them in her bag. She left the shoppe with an apple in her hand. Storm clouds crawled into view, followed by the sound of thunder and a show of lightning. “It’s not supposed to rain today,” she mumbled while chewing on a bite of her apple.

Taking advantage of the last rays of sunlight before the storm, Alexandria decided to create an item. After throwing the apple core in a decomposition pile, just around the corner of a stable, she rubbed her hands together to create friction. The heat created by this friction is what attracted the light from sun, moon, candles, and any thing else that produced light. She held her hands, palms up, in front of her and concentrated on the creases of her palms. A string of light seemed to twist and turn down from the sky, dropping like rain into Alexandria’s palms. The light appeared like water with a rainbow of golds and reds and yellows. She glanced before her so as not to run into some one, and then concentrated once more on the liquid in her hands. Slowly a brass metal was being formed, and then morphed into a brooch. As a light manipulator, she could have created anything she wanted, of course there were some restrictions as to what she wanted to created, but she could not create gems. Gems had to be mined from the earth, which was a common job for those who manipulated the earth element.

Alexandria passed through the open gates of the main city surrounding the castle and headed straight for a jeweler. After selling her newly-crafted brooch for a reasonable price, she went off to search for more food to last the week. She held her bag close, after hearing word of thieves and such becoming more common, as she walked. There were a few whispers and mumbling heard on the side of the road; most of it the common talk of the past few months, about the Shadows and their Colourless. She sighed and turned to a small booth selling breads and baskets of grain.

“Sorry!” A few kids ran after bumping into her. She bent down to pick up the drop bag of seed she had just purchased. Quickly, she tied it and put it in her bag, and then searched her pockets and bag. Nothing was stolen except for her last apple. Alexandria mumbled something under her breath, paid the seller for her purchase, and went off to find a fruit stand.

She took a bite of a green apple as she walked home. The road had few passersby between the small towne she lived in and the bigger city. Most of the people she waved to she had known for a while now. The rain clouds over head had grown plump and began releasing drops of water from the sky. Alexandria turned back around, put her bag over her head, and ran back to the city surrounding the castle. She was offered a ride on a steam-powered carriage by one of her neighbors, but she declined the offer as she walked through the gates.

“Look at that!” People gasped as lightning struck near the castle. When the lightning disappeared, where it had struck stood a tall, iridescent doorway. “Is it one of the Gates?” Alexandria peeked out from under the canopy she took cover in. She kept her eyes steady on the Gate, bracing herself if anything came out; however, nothing came out, and because of this the Gate soon disappeared just as quickly as it had appeared.

Azriel trudged along in the direction of Alexandria, over his shoulder there was a rope and behind him he was dragging a heavy seeming crate that just managed to balance itself on his shoulder. Whatever he had int here must have been expensive or rare because it was locked all the way down with steel latches and encased in metal.
People nearby would walk away, knowing exactly who he was, that dark face, and hateful eyes, though he stopped to look up at the strange show, this did seem fairly unusual, but it only made him thirst to go check it out.
A burly looking man walked up to Azriel, thick beard pressed against his chest as he looked down at the lad. The musclebound man was in fact Azriel's father and a scholar, he calmly lifted the burden off Azriel's shoulder and balanced it on his own.
"I didn't really believe it till I saw it for myself. You may want to have a look when you get home." The shadow elemental walked forward, still staring at the sky what an odd thing to have happened.
The peoples shock and awe made him smirk before chuckling coldly,
"It's only lightning, you maggots, what's to be afraid of? Its not like we've never see it before."
"Why you-" A man nearby to Azriel started, only to be stopped dead by his stare, his hand was raised as if to try and hit him but he was staring down the cold steel barrel of the energy gun.
"Dont test my patience, fool! Or you will not live to see the rest of your days." The gun was twirled, eventually slotted back behind his hip as he walked forward, wind causing the 'cape-like' bottom half of his jacket to billow out,
"If it'll make you all feel better I'll go check it out, I don't have much else to do right now. Besides, I've been looking for some real action to get my blood going..."

“Who’s that?” Alexandria had not noticed that the one known as Azriel walking behind her. She watched as the shadow elemental approached the Gate. In reaction, which was expected as much, people began murmuring and whispering to each other behind their hands. They were all afraid of him, and so no one seemed to care if he went and got himself killed. “You think he’ll get hurt?” Alexandria asked a stranger standing beside her under the canopy.

“I wouldn’t worry. He’ll probably scare away the Shadows on the other side.”
“What if he doesn’t?” Alexandria received a curious look from the stranger. She shrugged and continued. “Just saying that,” she added, “if he doesn’t come back, how are we supposed to know what the other world is like?”

“From what we know it’s a terrible place.” The stranger was referring to everything that has been happening lately and the grey building hidden by the forest not too far away. “Then maybe someone should go with him?” Alexandria pointed out. The people around her did a double take as if she was crazy. She was not crazy in any sense, but her curiosity wanted her to simply follow Azriel through so she could see what it was like. Alexandria prepared to push through the people and approach the Gate, but when she looked up from her bag after adjusting it a bit, the Gate was gone.

The storm did not stop, but its strength deteriorated some-what to a mist of water. Thunder rumble in the distance as lightning flash from far away. “I wonder if the lightning has to do with the opening of the Gates?” she thought out loud. Again, she received strange looks from those around her. As a manipulator of light, she had the ability to harness the power of lightning from a storm, but it was dangerous because lightning was not just light. As she peered up into the grey clouds, she shielded her eyes with a hand from the rain. With concentrated thought, a lightning stuck not too far from Azriel’s position. Oops, she thought, her face twitching a bit in fright of what might happen next because of her mistake. Not trying that again.

“Trying to get him killed?” Someone whispered behind his hand into Alexandria’s ear.
“No, I was just trying to,” she whispered back, but cut herself short of words. I’m in trouble if mum finds out. Alexandria put a hand on her face, hoping that her mother would not catch word that her daughter tried to control lightning. She reached a hand out, her nerves shaking a bit as she looked over to Azriel, but then brought her hand back and placed two fingertips to her lips. It was a bit awkward to feel scared to apologize to some body.

Azriel stopped when the gate vanished, looking up at the sky quietly, what a bother, he really wanted to go through and see what was causing all this nonsense.
The lightning struck not far from him but he didn't even flinch. He'd been near lightning before in one of his treasure hunts. An old relic of a place with lightning jumping all over the place but it seemed to follow in paths and patterns that allowed him to calculate and dodge them.
Hell he didn't even fear the risk of being struck by lightning as he welcomed the rain down upon his body, arms spread and raised,
"Just look at that fool," Another person jeered, "A family of freaks and he's the worst of them.." A gunshot rang out, the man had been about to pick up a crate but the energy bullet just barely missed the mans hand.
"If you wish to insult me or the honor of my family, do it to my face you insolent welp!" Azriel didn't even care that the very girl who almost hit him with lightning was there near the man,
"My family has provided technology and alchemical solutions that help preserve the beauty of this world and its nature. And you dare stand there can call us freaks? You might as well just return tot he old days of calling us heretics and burning us at the cross since you hate us so much you pathetic worm!"

Azriel stopped there, his mother, a tall slender woman in a dark dress and that same face of his, she stared at him and he finally calmed himself down, spinning the gun and holstering it behind his back.
"Bah, I wont waste my time on you maggots. I've got better things to do." He turned there, looking to where the gate once was, arms folding, "What a drag... And here I was hoping for some real action for once."

She stood still as a stone, but when she heard the gunshot, she moved back a step and made a small sound. Strangely, her second reaction was to cover her ears; however, she quickly dropped her hands to her sides. Though she did not know who or what the target was, she moved away in the right direction. The man she had just been talking to, who had also insulted Azriel, looked up. Alexandria looked down at the man, not knowing if she should feel sorry that he could have lost a hand or that she should feel as scared as every body around her. She blinked, staring down at the man for a moment, and then returned her gaze to Azriel.

Alexandria thought he was acting rather sensitive for such a hateful person. Of course, she would probably get fed up with hearing nothing but negative talk towards her family. When the woman appeared, the whispers and murmurs of everyone died down to a hum lower than the wind. Some, like Alexandria, stared at the woman in awe. Almost at once, as if the woman had given an order, the crowd began to slowly disperse.

Double-checking that her bag was not taken from, Alexandria turned around and walked away from the gathering. The Gate was on her mind now; she did not know if she would be able to think about anything else until tomorrow or the week after. She glanced over her shoulder to Azriel. Before she looked back around, she had knocked over a basket off a table top. "Sorry!" Alexandria kneeled down and began picking up the dropped goods.

"I'm sorry."
"Watch where you're goin' or else you'll have to pay for them."
When the merchant had his back turned, she stuck the tip of her tongue out at him. In a second he was turned around with his eyes on her. Alexandria stood up and began dusting off her dress, acting as if nothing happened. She walked away, correcting some loose strands of her hair.

"The storm's cleared up," she mumbled. Alexandria had her head tilted up so she could stare up at the clear sky. It had been a dark grey only less than a minute ago, and now it was a cloudless baby blue. "I wonder what that was all about?" Alexandria rested on a becnh, and then continued to stare up at the sky. "I wonder when it'll happen again?"

She sighed and looked down at the open palms of her hands. A slight, fuzzy glow surrounded them. She brushed her palms together to get rid of some dirt before concentrating again. In one plam, from the glow around her hands, a ball of what looked like snow was created. Someone not too far away tossed an orb similar to the one in her hand; the light snow disappearing after crashing and exploding on her shoulder. "Hey!" she yelled to the giggling kids. Alexandria adjusted her bag, making sure it was secure, and then threw the light orb in her hand; she regretted it because she was planning on making something out of it instead of a snowball.

At first it was hard to hear the low roar of the alarm, but it grew louder. It was not like a bell that toned every other second; it was more like a long, drawn-out note that was held until someone turned it off. "What's going on now?" Alexandria looked over her shoulder, then turned around and faced the castle.

"You know how the missions go. Go in, do the job, and get out. Don't draw attention to yourself, and most importantly-don't get caught."

Such was the phrase running through Cassiel's head as the hooded figure skulked through the dark, crooked tunnels that made up the lower levels of the castle. Cassiel was on a mission. It had no thoughts other than those told to it by its superiors.

Get in. Do job. Get out.

It was easy enough. The job was, however, not his usual type of operations. Today he was to destroy a computer. What kind of computer, Cassiel did not know... or care. All that it knew was that this computer was important. Important enough to destroy.

Cassiel would do the job. Cassiel would do it well. Usually the hooded redhead was reserved for assassinations and other tasks involving lethal force. However, those in charge of the Colourless operations had once again become interested in Cassiel, so as of late the hooded figure found itself being pushed into one odd situation or mission after another.

Cassiel did not mind. It was not made to care. It was made to hunt, kill, and destroy. After all, that's what weapons of war were for.

And so Cassiel was on its hunt to destroy the computer. So far the mission had been going well. The guards and palace figures so far had been avoided easily enough. And those that had been spotted... well, it would hopefully be some time until their absence was noted. The bodies, however, would not be found.

Upon reaching an intersection, the figure paused, the numerous bones and trinkets on it's robe clinking slightly at the sudden stop. Blue eyes glimmering faintly in the darkness, Cassiel peered down to the tunnel on its left.

There it was. The room had no door, thus leaving the blinking and faint gleam of the computer mainframe visible to the hooded figure from its standpoint. One would think that such an important piece of equipment would be under heavy guard, but it did not seem to be.

A-ha. Did not seem to be. That was the tricky bit.

Squinting, Cassiel was able to make out several advanced cameras and laser arrays (though what sort of lasers, it could not say). Such technological wonders would be a problem for most normal people... but Cassiel was far from normal.

For the hooded shadow-being, this was little more than a game.

First, Cassiel's slim hand went for the handle of the sword which it clutched at its chest. The weapon was massive- a cruel red and black blade that reached nearly eight feet in length. Holding the weapon gingerly in it's hands, Cassiel quickly sliced away at the cameras. At nearly the same moment, a shadowy miasma seeped out from beneath the hooded figure's robe, choking the laser-guarded archway. The miasma sent the lasers ricocheting away from the arch, leaving Cassiel more than enough space to get in.

It entered calmly, glimmering blue eyes impassively observing the massive mainframe that took up the entirety of the room. Get in. Complete. Now. Do job and get out.

The second step was easy enough. The bomb had been explained over to Cassiel. All it had to do was place it and detonate the weapon once Cassiel was a decent distance from the room. Simple enough.

BOOM.

Less than three minutes after Cassiel's entry into the mainframe room, a huge explosion rocked the castle. All at once, alarms rang up, piercing the air within the castle and all the surrounding area. Do job. Complete. Now get out. Meet at drop point by nightfall. Should be easy enough. Cassiel still had several hours at this point in time.

Simple enough. Cassiel was already past the castle gates and into the town. It would hide, perhaps kill a target or three, then return. Cassiel's superiors always like to hear of an eliminated enemy in the report. Yes. This would be simple...
