You hear a screech in the night. You turn left and right. You are unable to find the direction of the sound. You begin to realize you are lost in the woods. You are so very very lost. Alone. You hear the sound again. Its about ten after midnight. You are cold, hungry, scared. You wonder if anyone will find you. You begin to fear about WHAT finds you.


Fear creeping up on you... you lie against the hard bark of a tree. You think of all the things you will never experience if you die. Suddenly a bright light appears in front of you. It was hard to see what was causing it but you swear that you see an image of a girl who looks just like you. Raven hair, green eyes, ivory skin, a green sweater and jeans. She beckons you to follow. You get up and run in her direction. You can't help but feel relieved that someone was going to help you get out of this hell hole.[COLOR="lightseagreen"]

you shiver with the cold. you barely notice the pain as your body is heating up from the strenuous excessive. the light becomes brighter and you fall to the ground. It has blinded you and you cannot see anything but the light. You hear a voice.


Your voice. "Sleep now. In the morning i will lead you out and to freedom". You scream at the voice as loud as you can, your words make no sense to you. "it is ok. Nothing will happen to you tonight. Rest now." next thing you know you have blacked out...

you awaken and the sun is shining bright in the sky. you smile and stretch. It had been strangely enough very good sleep. You jump a few feet in the air as you hear the voice talking to you again. "had a good night sleep? its time to return home. Are you ready?"


you give a reply and you hear the voice laughing. It irritates the hell out of you. You tell it to shut up and lead you out of this mess already. It only laughs harder and the light appears again. As it descends down the path you run after it again. It seems to get harder to keep up with as the minutes pass by.

You eventually stop. Your legs are burning like a wildfire. It hurts so bad. You hear the voice telling you to keep going but you shut it out. You concentrate purely on the pain in your legs and you sit down. you tell the voice to be silent.

But it replies with urgency "Keep going! this forest is neither safe at night nor at day. Just because you don't see danger doesn't mean you are not close to being in its jaws. GET UP!" you growl at it and ask what danger she means. "the creatures of night walk around during the day. they stay in the shadows so they cannot be seen...hurry now get UP!" you refuse to listen...

then in the moment your choice was to to ignore you felt the hair stand on your neck... then you heard a roar! You turn around just in time to see your death. The last seconds of your life you contemplate what would have happened if you had just listened to the voice...

(make an alternate ending. or create a door to another chapter or two.)
