Hi and welcome to linapoo's art contest. I'm linapoo, nice to meet you. Uh I will be hosting this in order to get some cool arts and also empty my inventory out a bit. Please be sure to read all rules and information! Thanks.

GUESS WHAT? You don't need to have ARTISTIC TALENT to enter!
And the title of this thread has nothing to do with the actual contest.
I am honestly just looking for some stuff to look at for my own enjoyment.

Rules: Be sure to read them!
-Do not enter art that is not drawn by you. Tracing or copying art is not allowed. I will not tolerate it.
-Do not enter art that was already previously made. All entries must be made for this contest.
-Do not ask to an extension unless you have a solid reason for why you need more time.
-Do not bring any unwanted drama in this thread. Please keep a happy face on. (:
-If you have a problem with who wins and wanna know why, PM me. Do not bring it in the thread.
-Feel free to PM me anytime if you have questions! I will try my best to explain/answer them.

What You Can Enter
-Any type of media you wish. (MS Paint to Crayons to Photoshop. Whatever you're comfy with.)
-WIPs: not required but welcome at any time. I'd love to see what you're up too.

There are no other qualifications needed to enter.
As long as you have a hand, maybe a foot, to draw with you can!
Be sure to follow all rules and try to stand out.


What is not preferred
-Simple black and white. Come on! Break out those crayons or markers. Show some color love.
-You CAN enter simple black and white sketches but it has less of a chance to win..I love colors.
-Smudgy stuff. I like clean stuff. 8D If you have to, go over with a pen/ digitally ink it!

What to Draw?
You can enter as many times as you want.
Choose any category you want to enter. (:

It does not matter what category you choose.
There are only 1st-4th place prizes. (Ideally)
There are no seperate prizes for the seperate categories.
It's much more simpler/easier this way. However, this may change if I feel that I need to give more prizes out.

• Avatar Basics. Draw any of the avatars listed above. Their personalities all key with their expressions. So if they're frowning, make them sad or angsty or something. If they're smiling, they're probably outgoing and happy like. :'D

• Stick Figure Fun. Draw many many stick figures doing the craziest thing. Meaning it can be doing anything anywhere. It's up to you! It must appeal to my funny bone. But I laugh at anything so haha just do whatever you think is funny too. The more stick figures , the more happy I get. It lets me know you spent a lot of time thinking about it I guess. 8D Random = best.

• Pokemon Love. Draw any pokemon (1 or more) doing anything cute. Like exploring something new, or eating or something like that. It can be any pokemon but if you can't decide I enjoy these pokemon: Jolteon, Pikachu, Drifblim, Drifloon, and Mew. I do not like rock pokemon or ugly pokemon lolol. But whatever you want I guess. Need a pokemon trainer?-Pokemon Trainer Make her look around 13 yrs old, thanks! 8D ALSO when looking up a reference image to draw your pokemon, (aka googling pokemon) DO NOT copy that pose please. be creative and draw your own ideas.

Answer! Yes! That is absolutely fine.

Question! Can I draw your current avatar instead?
Answer! Sure! Though I do change a lot so be sure to save it if you have a liking to a certain avatar of mine.

Whatever one stands out, are the ones who are going to win.
It doesn't have to be beautiful great art. As long as I have a desire to stare at it for long periods of time, it has a possibility of winning!

Tips to winning:
Try your best!
Use lots and lots of color!
Make it cute or funny as it can be!
Random is success!
Make it pretty! (If you're doing avatar art)
Give those stick figures hair!
Give it life!
Use my favorite pokemon! -shot-

Important Note. This is an art contest. It's obvious the best art will win first place.
However, I realize my 2/4 of my categories cannot be judged by art quality!
I will try to be reasonable when it comes to judging.

your comments: When I saw avatar one, I got inspired - and this is what became of it. I took a few artistic liberties - my apologies! Anyhow, I coloured traditionally, as I do not have a good colouring program (or computer, really) yet included the line art in case you would like a great artist to colour it non-traditionally. (so long as lineart credit goes to me, it's all good!)
I can email you the full size of the coloured version, as photobucket shrank it and removed a tonne of detail from it.
