  • So yeah, I downloaded this keygen to get to play a game for free. Of course, the keygen didn't work, but it DID mess up my computer. It was a TrojanBackdoor I think.
    It wasn't that much of a problem until a few moments ago. All of a sudden thousands of pop-ups filled my screen. They were all just blank pages, some directing me to drive-cleaner.com .
    This bugs me a lot, now I know for sure there's something wrong. I already downloaded AVG and run a complete test every day. And every day it wipes away 3 to 4 threats, all trojans.
    What can I do to get rid of these nasty virusses? ; o ;

  • Well, I don't really know for sure. It started when I downloaded that keygen.
    The first virus result showed a TrojanhorseGeneric.

I recommend a different protection program. AT&T Yahoo! Protection is what I have and it works good. I also have AD-Aware and McAfee, they work really well also.

Im afraid i may have to say.. you got to reastart your computer, well.. everytime i got viruses (except the recent small one i had recently which i luckily got rid of from my anti virus.) my parents restarted the computer.

so.. yea.. unless you have an anti virus the only way is to restart unfortantley, though if you do have one it might be able to help, if not.. well yea... the restart option...

Go to download.com and download Spybot Search and Destroy. It helps a lot and if you update it once a week and then run it, it should get rid of a lot of shit. I use it all the time expecially after I download something new.

If you keep having a ton of problems then reformatting your hard drive might be the only thing left to do. Reformatting wipes your computer clean and start it up brand new like you just turned your computer on for the very first time. You will lose all data stored on your computer but if any of it is important you could always burn it onto a disc or upload it onto a flashdrive and put it back on your computer after you reformatt it.

If you need any help you can PM me.
