After a moment, Todd's brain finally caught up with what he had been told, and he turned slightly pink. "Oh...um...well, thank you, Jasmine. This wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but it works out. Now I really am in your debt." He said. Then, because he still had a concussion and no control over which thoughts tumbled from his mouth, he added: "If I had to choose someone to owe my life to, it would definitely be you."

"Careful what you say Todd, Her face is now as red as a tomato. "she said, grinning.

Realizing his slip up, Todd blushed just as red as Jasmine was. "Oh, I, uh...um...w-well, why don't we go home? I could use some new clothes, and we need to report what happened." He said, trying desperately to cover up his embarrassment. It didn't work well, however, because when he tried to stand up his legs gave out, sending him sprawling into the mud. "...Dammit."

Jasmine picked him up, and held him. "Come on, you foolish person. "she said, her face like a cherry.

Todd, if possible, turned even redder. "Thanks..." He said in an embarrassed whisper.

Zafina walked behind them, humming the Wedding march, loud enough so they heard.

Todd glanced back at her, glaring hard enough to set a fire. "Shut it, Zafina..."

"Nope. This is going on YouTube."she said.

"I swear, if you do anything of the sort, I'll tell mother about the time you got drunk and felt up at our thirteenth birthday party." He said.

"-and il tell mother about how you snuck out of class, to spy on the succubi in uncle asmodeus's house."she said.

"The only reason you know about that is because you were already there, trying to write a book about it." Todd countered. Between the two of them, she had done the worst things, and they both knew it. He was a saint compared to her.

"Yes, and? It was part of the assignment Beelzebub gave me."she said. She had reasons for what she did, and everyone knew it. "Don't try to hold anything over me, Tiny Todd."she said.

"An assignment that mother didn't know about, and never would have approved of. And don't call me that. I'm older than you." He said. Sure, it was only by a couple minutes, but still. "And taller." He added grumpily.

"Last one was a lie. I'm taller then you by 3 Centimeters. Of course mother wouldn't agree, she never agreed with me drinking. thing is, I don't care. "she said. "Now, quit trying to get me, Fox boy. "she said.

Todd snickered. "You were taller the last time we measured, which was over a year ago. I'm taller, Zaffy. And not just because of my ears." He said, now just teasing his sister for the fun of it.

"You have a major inferiority complex. Maybe you got something from dear old dad.....just like I got mom's scarier-then-hell temper. "she said.

Todd shuddered. "That seems to be a common trait in the women of our family. I feel sorry for whoever tries to date you." He said, laughing.

"I feel sorry for Jasmine. "she said, humming.

Todd's ears lay flat. "And why would that be, Zafina?" He asked.

"Because she's in love with you. "she said.

"Zafina. I would quit while you're ahead, if I were you." He said in a low growl.

Zafina heard the growl and, both her blood-lines growing stronger, looked back him, and growled. "Oh really? and what are you going to do if I don't, Bumble?" she asked, on the count of him falling in mud.

Todd spun around, causing the whole procession to stop. His eyes were glowing. "You really don't want to go there. You're not invincible, Zafina, and I know all your weak points." He pointed out. If anyone could beat her, it was him. And the other way around, too.

"I'm not invincible Todd, you know that, but neither are you."she said." Also, how can you hurt what you can't touch?"she asked.

"You know damn well I can catch you. Face it, if we were to fight for real, neither of us would come out alive." Todd said.
