Storylines:

These characters follow two storylines that I have been writing in - Slayers and X-Men.

Slayers:
Lei, Sinn and Sendal are my creations set in the Slayers universe, though they never interact with the canon characters as they follow a different storyline altogether.

X-Men:
Rebecca comes from my X-Men set of stories, the only character I ever made for it that I thought was remotly good - and I still think she's pretty adverage. If you've sen the movies or watched the old series you'll know the story - if not, ordinary people across the globe are finding they have a new gene, the X gene, which gives humans strange powers. Not everyone has them and those that don't are scared by those that do. Those that have them have a choice; to use their powers for good or for evil.

2. Show samples that are a good representation of what you're willing to do - i.e don't show CG if you only plan to do a sketch.

Lei



Storyline: Slayers

Full Name: Lei Dael

Gender: Female

Occupation: Mazoku/Monster

Hair: Red, loosly tied in a single plait, her fringe covers her eyes so we very rarely see them.

Eyes: Colourless - the pupils are large to make up for the lack of iris.

Complexion: Caucasian

Build: Tall but scrawny.

Approximate Age: Looks about twenty nine. Actual age is unknown.

General Appearance: Lei is a very tall, thin woman. This is a direct result of her inability to take a perfect human form - she also has small purple scar-like marks in various places (one of her leg, her wrist and neck) for the same reason. Her clothes are those of a traveller, with a long cloak, skirt and slightly-revealing cut top (see reference pic).

Traits/personality: Being a monster Lei enjoys pain, suffering and fear - these are the things that a monster draws their power from. All in all she is a pretty adverage monster. She enjoys the history of wars and tries to make her stay in villages or towns with large librarys so she can find out more about them; the reading of such events gives an almost lustful pleasure, though not one that can be expressed in "human" terms.

History: She was created in the time of the monster's fall for the purpose of serving in the war. When it was over Lei served the ranks of Dynast Grausherra but only informally. Being only a lesser monster she serves only when called upon but is ultimatly answerable to him - otherwise she is free to persue her own alliances and interests.

Interest/Hobbies: What Lei enjoys most is to torment small villages in secret by making crops fail, untieing horses, worrying sheep, etc... Basically causing as much trouble and anguish to the local people as possible without doing enough to make them so suspisous as to expect the activity of a monster. In this way she ensures she can live in one place for a long time without being discovered or suspected of being the cause of events.

Sinn Cael



Storyline: Slayers

Full Name: Sinn Cael

Gender: Female

Occupation: Freelance Mage

Hair: Brown, wavy, shoulder-length

Eyes: Brown

Complexion: Slightly tanned

Build: Small

Approximate Age: Seventeen

Traits/personality: Siinn is a girl with strength of mind if not of body. She comes across as light-hearted and polite, softly spoken, which she does only when nessisary; she does not engage in idle chat simply for the sake of it. Nonetheless she is friendly and trusting. She is defensive rather than offensive too, prefering to avoid confrontation if she can. If she can make a friend she will, and generally knows someone everywhere that she goes (though it is a little know fact that she tends to make friends who she believes will be of use to her in the future). Being of such a modest upbringing she is occasionally quite nieve and is prone to making mistakes or entirly missing the point.

History: Born in a small town on the coast, Siinn had a calm and uneventful childhood, rought only with the usual difficulties of a teen, but her small-town life made her restless and she longed for more interest. At the age of fifteen she left her family to travel between the villages, looking for adventure, treasure and ways to enhance her magical abilitys.

Interest/Hobbies: Siinn is, of course, has magical ability. She specialises in water elements of the magic and is less proficient in fire, though she can use it, it is just clumbsier. She can also use levitation, shielding and lighting, all of which have a blue tint to them thanks to her water speciality, drawing on this power for each spell, though it may be subtle.

Sendal Ry



Storyline: Slayers

Full Name: Sendal Ry

Gender: Male

Occupation: Worlock

Hair: Brown, straight and floppy but short.

Eyes: Grey/Blue

Complexion: Tanned caucasian

Build: Adverage

Approximate Age: Nineteen

General Appearance: Sendal's appearance is deliberatly subvertive. He wears simple, plain cloth clothes in blue and yellow, carries a short stick and wears a jester's hat. In this way people often underestimate him - in some cases mistaking him altogether as a joker - and when this happens he has the upper hand. The stick is his focus for when he casts spells but is very plain, in order to function similarily to his hat. He will often keep a flower (any kind) with him, replacing each one as it dies, a reminder that life is fragile.

Traits/personality: Sendal is above all quiet and introvert, but also cheeky and prone to addiction (of all kinds). At first meeting he seems to fit neatly into the "silent brooder" type but, really, this is because he is a little shy; once he opens up, a stronger person is found beneath, one with a slightly sadistic sense of humour and deep loyalty. That said, he is also quite single-minded.

History: Sendal was born in a small town dominated by awe of a spiral tower in its center, home to a powerful man. But don't be fooled - this man was no tyrant. The town was his base as it was small enough to attract few travelers but large enough to use in his search for those with an aptitude for magic within them - those of patience and passion. All children, on their tenth birthday, where called by the great mage of the tower who tested them - and Sendal was one of those who was found positive. The mage, Hinklea, trained him along with those others who where chosen until he turned sixteen. It's at this point when most have begun to show some signs of where their true talent lies - in Sandel's case, it was towards the archane summoner. He was sent on a journey to reach Hinklea's counterpart in this talent, Matio, who could further teach Sandel how to hone his ability and control the familiars he could summon from the darker plains. However, no sooner had Sandel learnt to summon his first creature Matio was struck by illness and died soon after. Striken by frustration and perpose Sendal vowed to find another who could teach him what he had begun here so that he could one day return to the tower and truely take Matio's place. So he set out on his quest and is still searching for all of the information that he can.

Rebecca Hewson



Storyline: X-Men

Full Name: Rebecca Hewson

Gender: Female

Occupation: Student and mutant

Hair: Long, very dark brown, perfectly straight.

Eyes: Green, with a red flash in some lighting.

Complexion: Asian

Build: Adverage.

Approximate Age: 14

General Appearance: Rebecca is pretty much an adverage-looking girl - apart from being a mutant of course. She is of Chinese heritage though it is a few generations into the past, and very much integrated and apart of the american way of life. She wears trousers which flare below the knee, or a skirt and leg warmers, with a jacket and short top which shows off her stomach. Usually this will all be in neutral colours - dark blues, blacks and whites. The jacket is strategic as it covers a pair of black demonic-style wings that fold against her back into special groves that developed as part of the mutation.

Traits/personality: Naturally suspisous and unfriendly, almost to the point og being cold, Rebecca hates getting close to people and can be rude and stubborn because of it. Hence she rarely makes friends. Still this has gained her some odd respect from most (though certainly not liked by many) people at school and so has some immunity from the popular kid's torments. She is strong-willing and pro-active, hard working and studious, with her sights set on university, if only she can keep her mutation a secret long enough. In some RPs that develop further she develops a limited command of demonic fire.


History: Being so young, and more of an adventure character than one for writing stories about, there is not much here. She was born to a well-off (though not rich) family in the US. Her parents divorced when she was very young and she has lived between them since then. Her mutation had started at about the same time but was kept a secret - she has had a long time to adjust to it so that she can barely recall a time that she did not have to live so conservativly. In some RPs there was some question about the character's future; in this she goes on to further studies but is plagued by a continually growing mutation, and with every power gained she slipped further into a sort of demonic maddess until there was no part of her left.

Thank you! Not sure how much interest is here, especially because of how new the site is and all. *nods*
