I am bored. But I don't feel like doing anything. I guess I am just having one of those days where I am not in the mood to do anything even though I have stuff I should be doing around the apartment. :/

Don't get sick! Start taking stuff so you don't get sick! That's what I did a few weeks ago...but I did endup getting sick..because it was the flu and not just a regular old cold. If it was a cold, then I wouldn't have gotten sick. But at least because I had all that stuff in me to help me, I didn't have to go to the doctor like I did the last time.

Well, I got a flu shot last week, so I shouldn't be getting the flu.

I took some Vitamin C this morning. Maybe I'll take some more...

I took zicam. For two weeks I was living off of that, nyquil, and that stuff that starts with the letter A to keep your fever down. Then I ended up adding ibruprofen to the mix and pepto bismol. It all started with just a migraine and fever that just did not want to go away. Then diarrhea, then my whole body just ached for no reason. I'm glad all that is over with. And I know I lost weight from those two weeks too because I was basically living off of crackers and bread when I did eat.

I don't think I am sick this year... :/

That was the second time I was sick this year. Which is odd because I usually only get sick once per year...not count sinus infections...

That sure sounds like it was the flu all right.
When you get older like me, it's really dangerous, so that's why my doctor makes me get a flu shot every year.

I haven't seen a doctor in over ten years now. Unless you count that trip to the emergency room when I had the flu like six years ago.

I still have to go 4 times a year.
I think she's going to switch it to twice a year now since the diabetes is so well under control.

But as you get older, aches and pains come.
This last time we were discussing my hip and knee.

I seldom go to see doctor when I have simple flu. I let it heal naturally.

More than likely, I'll end up with the same psoriasis my mom has. I already have it, but mine is under control and I don't have to see a dermatologist for it. I have problems with my right hand/wrist. Due to carpal tunnel and I have had tendenitis in it as well. I just use pain meds and a wrist brace for it.
I don't have diabetes...or at least not yet. That runs in the family and my mom has it bad. It was one of the reasons that caused her heart attack...which also runs in the family.
Yeah...I should totally see a doctor.

As you get older, flu is never "simple".
It's a major killer of old people. Generally develops into pneumonia.

getting old is really dangerous.

My dad has had pneumonia before. Which then he was required to get the flu shot every year. I've never had the flu shot.

Oh...and apparently a few auto-immune diseases run in my family as well. Mostly they start manifesting themselves when the person is in their 40s/50s though.

Well, the alternative to getting older is dangerous too...

my little brother had pneumonia when he was a couple months old.
