"I guess. We should be looking for a motel soon. Maybe then we can get a meal somewhere." He said as he got into the car. He hoped tomorrow would be better than today was.

Grabbing the melted ice cream from his seat, what he'd obviously been eating earlier, the younger pulled his long hair up into a bun on the back of his head and stretched, sitting down. "Mm...sounds good to me."

Darren drove another hour before he saw a motel. He pulled in and then got a room." Want to get some food ? What sounds good to you?" He was starving.

"Anything sounds good..." He nodded a little, licking his lips. "But something meaty sounds good. Like nasty, greasey hamburgers."

"There's a diner a little ways from here. How about that?" Darren would eat anything at this point. He kept having flashes of memory . He didn't know what they were about.

"Works for me." He laughed, sitting up a little, "Let's go snag something real fast and then come back and sleep." He was also so tired.

Darren drove a little ways to a diner. After they were seated, Darren looked at the menu. He would get a burger. He didn't want to eat too much before bed.

Grabbing up the menu once he was seated, Gordon sifted through his options with his tongue poking out, looking like he'd be ready to eat anything and everything. Licking his lips at a particularly tasty sounding dish, he looked up, "Do ya care what I get?"

" Not really. What are you going to get?" Darren asked. He was going to get a burger and fries.

"I want the BIG breakfast. Pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, toast..." He grinned, "Alla that." It all sounded so good, and they served breakfast all day.

" That does sound good actually . Is it alright if I get the same?" Darren didn't realize how hungry he was until his brother mentioned all that food. He might even save some for breakfast tomorrow.

"Yeah, man, I don't care. Jus' don't take mine!" He laughed some, shaking his head a little. "I think it sounds delicious and I could eat it four times over and not be full."

The waitress came and took their orders. She left and returned with their drinks. After she left , Darren said." We'll be in California in less than a day. We did make pretty good time. I am going to figure a new route though. I don't want to go by that creepy house again."

"Yeah, that sounds good to me." Gordon replied easily, conversationally, as he lifted his drink and set it before him. The straw was inserted into the diet Pepsi and he sipped at it casually, not seeming to realize he was making pretty eyes at his own brother.

Darren noticed the way his brother was looking at him. " Are you okay?" Thinking that Gordon wasn't feeling well.

"Hm?" Blinking a little, he nodded and grinned, "Yeah, fine. Jus' a little distracted is all."

" Today was weird . I hope there are no more days like it." He saw the food coming and got ready to eat the biggest meal he had ever ate.

The large meal was set before them on the table, and the grandiose amount of eggs and sausage made his stomach grumble in enthusiastic appreciation. Fork and knife in hand, Gordon snubbed the butter and syrup in favor of shoveling forkful (and sometimes pieces of meat or pancake on his knife) after forkful of food into his mouth. He had been to several upstanding dinner parties in his day, but never before had he truly abandoned all of those lessons in etiquette so quickly. Usually it took quite a few drinks to slur his thoughts and actions so very much that he would literally place his chin on the table, some of the plate inserted between his gaping lips, so that the food would more quickly be forcefully shoved inside of his mouth.

It took him less than ten minutes to finish his plate and order another, which was demolished in yet another record time as soon as it arrived. Two milkshakes and three slices of pie (cherry, peach and apple, respectively) later, he rested back against the booth and sighed contently, petting his little tummy and smiling. His eyes slipped closed and he didn't even look sick; just content.

Darren ate most of his food and knew he couldn't eat anymore. He paid the bill ." Ready to head back. This time tomorrow we'll be in California and we can party!" He said happily . He hoped this trip helped his brother out.

"Yeah, man, I'm tired..." Gordon laughed softly, shaking his head some. "Mm.." Stretching out, he smiled at his brother and winked at him, "Let's go get some sleep. I'm ready for a nap, at least. We can head out earlier if we sleep now."

Darren drove them back to the motel. He unlocked the door and put his suitcase down. He went in the bathroom and got ready for bed. He knew this time tomorrow they would be having fun.
