Gwen woke up and went to her kitchen in the inn and started making breakfast waiting for people to maybe even show up.

Popuri finished feeding the chickens and said her goodbyes to May. She decided that she was going to go to the Inn and order some food to bring home, hoping that it would leave mother in better spirits when she told her that Rick never came home last night and was probably with that girl again...

Their mother was not always so receptive to the idea that Rick and Popuri were growing up. Popuri knew to never speak of boys at home because then her mother would assume that Popuri was going to leave forever... leaving her all alone especially with the weird behavior from Rick.

Popuri wandered to the Inn and opened the door. She walked up to the counter to order food, "Uhm... I would like two of your breakfast specials to go... if thats alright."

Popuri looked at Gwen with very tired eyes, "I would love to bring something nice home for my mother. You know she doesn't get out much these days... I want to surprise her."

She put some money down on the counter, quite a bit more than the meal would cost in the city.

Gwns ears perked up when she heard somone talk to her "o our specials I can make you a forest omlet We have our own chicken now too." gwen pointed to the chicken in the far room. "but if you want that it has onions cheese and peppers, and some meidical herbs."
Gwen started putting together some of the ingredients. "hmm so how are you doing" Gwen asked as she finished the first omlet "There we are all done" gwen handed popuri a taste to try "you can have the second one for free if you wish." She took half the money and returned the other half to popuri and began to clean her dishes.

As Elli sleepily got to the clinic she noticed the door was locked. "Awww.. dont tell me he slept in again." she rolls her eyes. then thinks of the doctor sleeping. she giggles. An image of a key pops in her mind "Oh thats right! the doctor gave me a key yesterday because he told me he would be late today." she smacked her forehead in stupidity. she began to search through her messenger bag she carried around when she went outside. "OH NO!!! I think i left it inside the clinic yesterday when i was organizing the medical papers for the towns people." She limply dropped her head against the wall of the clinic and then turned around, closed her eyes and sighed as she fell to the ground. She put her head in her knees and began to get frustrated with herself. "Where is the doctor? ....... Maybe.... no. He's probably too busy." she stared at her cute cell phone she tucked away only for emergencies. as she stared at it she blushed. "Should I??..........."

"Thats fine Gwen." Popuri said forcing a cheery smile, "Just charge me for both. I wouldn't feel right getting it for free. Thanks again..."

Popuri took whatever change was left and headed out. The smell of delicious omlets swept through the air. She just hoped there would be no hungry passersby on her way home.

Hopefully this surprise would take her mother's mind off of worrying about Rick when she realized he wasn't home. Somehow Popuri was going to have to find out where Rick went without taking too much time out of caring for the family business. She deeply considered asking Gray a favor. Although he was shy he was usually up for helping people out when they needed it.

Gwen nodded to poputi. "have a good day " Gwen said to her as she left.
She then started washing the dishes and fed some scarps to her st bernard.
Gwen then decided to to her room and check out when the next fextival was. She then went to close up the shop early and go to the carpenters to see how much it would take to get a barn.

Popuri walked home in a sullen mood. She could not believe Rick would do this to her mother, especially in her frail condition. She was in her right mind to give Rick a punch in the nose when he came back...

Even Popuri knew she wouldn't hit Rick when he came home but it was a nice thought none the less. She would probably just argue with him until mother begged them to stop as usual. It had been very rough on the family with father gone looking for a cure. None of the herbs he left for mother seemed to help. Maybe the doctor might have figured out a cure this time. Popuri was determined to stop by the clinic at some point today.

Popuri again passed the seemingly vacant farm and wondered who was living there. She had heard rumors that some young kid was trying to revive it... but then again those were just rumors.

She continued her walk back to her house and opened the door. She made sure to set up a nice breakfast before mother woke. She even brought out the nice dishes. She wanted her mother to feel special and wanted, not as a burden. She knew it was rough on everyone and always tried to bring some ray of sunshine into her mother's day.

After breakfast she wandered out into town again. She passed the Blacksmith's place once more as she usually did on her way to the clinic. She always took the long way. After passing both the Library and the Market she finally came across the Clinic... with Elli standing outside.

"Hey... uhm... What is going on? Is the Doctor Ill? Or have you locked yourself out again?" Popuri said, not realizing the sarcastic tone of her last comment.

Popuri waited for a reply from Elli. Most of the time people disregarded Popuri anyway, so silence wouldn't surprise her. She was a wild girl with wild ideas of traveling and working in odd professions. She knew she didn't quite fit in this town. Popuri wondered if her future was going to be as interesting as she expected, she wondered what secrets of this world she would uncover in the future when her mother was well and her father was actually around.

She then asked again, "Did you lock yourself out again? Or is something wrong?"

Maria studied some of the books on her desk and sighed. "I guess I forgot to put those away." She picked them up and walked over to the book shelf, placing one in it. She studied the cover on the next one and walked over to a shelf across the room. "You go here." She placed the book on the shelf.
Once she had put them all away, she sat back her desk and looked at her journal. She picked it up as well as a pen. She touch the pen to the paper and sighed. She had a writers block. It was sunny, she supposed that she could write about the day, how nice it was, but she didn't want too.
Soon she was lost in thought. She tried to think harder, but it didn't work. So she took one book from the many shelves around her and began to read.

She shook her head at the thought "Maybe its a holiday and i forgot to check my calender...I'll just take a walk to the library." She walks to the library still thinking of how the doctor didnt show up. She sighed and let it roll off. she pushed slightly on the door and a little bell rang to let the library people know a person came in. She walked over to her favorite section of the library and saw Maria. "Oh! um.. Hello Maria! What are you doing inside on a lovely day like this?" she smiled at her.

Maria looked up and smiled at Elli. "Why hello." She closed her book and looked out the window again. "I'm just reading and making sure the library is in order." She looked up at Elli. Is there a book you needed help in finding..? Or are you just looking..?" She put a piece of paper in the book she was reading to mark her place and looked at the helf that was by Elli.

Ignored by Elli as usual, Popuri decided to head back home. She walked right past Maria and Elli on her way home, and didn't even bother to wave. Sometimes she felt that people in this town thought they were too good for her because of her home situation... Like they overlooked her because her mother was ill and everyone was afraid to catch it.. even though it wasn't a contagious illness.

She felt heartbroken that Elli, a nurse... didn't even care so much as to say hello, or even make a sarcastic comment back. She stopped at the entrance to the abandoned farm and wondered if she had been there a long time ago... somehow.

Popuri sat there trying to think if she used to play there as a kid. It had been so long since she even acted childish let alone actually had time to be a child since her mother became ill. Now an adult she was confused at what it was she was supposed to do with her life. She continued her walk home to check on her mother and see if Rick had finally come home.

"Shoot, no! Calv, don't... CALV!"
Jamie ran towards his garden, kicking his small dog out of it. "This ISN'T where you use the bathroom! Got it!? This is where... I grow plants. That I SELL, Calv."
A short pause.
He looked down, only to see the pup looking up at him with large, sad eyes.

... A long pause.

Jamie sighed, reaching down and giving the small pup a gentle bonk on the head with the side of his hand. "Go and lay down, alright...?"
Calv ran off quickly, leaving a frusturated Jamie to stand there, wondering why exactly he had to be going through this
Jamie wondered this often.
He shook his head, deciding he'd save his ponderings for later. He turned and went back into his house.

You know, for the longest time this had been wondered; what exactly was inside of Jamie's house? Nobody knew. Except for Jamie.
He probably hid in here just to get people to leave him alone, though.

((But Isnt Popuri supposed to be all like Happy and smiley and stuff.))

"Oh thats right!!! I totally forgot he was herb collecting today. Thanks Maria!" She smiled and giggled. "but how did you know he was herb collecting on wednesdays?"

Maria looked at the various books on herbs and laughed a little. "No problem, I saw him when I did research on herbs. We chatted a little and he said that Wednesday was his herb collecting day. Then he helped me a little on my research."

Ann carefuly laid the last of the eggs into thier tray, extracting them from the whicker basket she carried in the crook of her arm. "There we go, all done."
She stood up soothing her back with her free hand. The kitchen was full, food prepared and the bar quiet. "A walk i think."

Having cleared going for a walk with ehr father she had gone outside to saddle up Moon, her pure white horse. They often went roaming together when she had nothing to do.
She hoisted herself into the saddle and gave him a nudge. "Come on boy, lets see who we can see today." she said with a broad smile on her face.

Gwen stepped off the ferry back to the home town finnaly on land after he vacation to the city. "man it is good to be home" Gwen said as the sat down on the warm sandy beach. She stared at the sky and realized sicne she took the vacation it will be harder to buy that dream farm of hers.

She realized that Rick still hadn't come home upon her arrival. She found her mother trying to tend to the chickens, even in such a weak state. Popuri ran to her mother and escorted her inside.
"Now mother, you know you shouldn't be out there doing work. I will take care of things, I promise." Popuri said with a faint smile.

She helped her mother sit down on the couch and fetched her some tea. Popuri realized she needed to find Rick somehow... some way.

Jamie wandered out of his house, hat held under one of his arms as he used the other to lock the door tightly behind him.
He sat his hat back on his head, adjusting it properly before sitting down on the steps leading into his house and sighing tiredly.
Yes; truly when he did'nt think anyone was near him, he looked no less of extremely sad, his elbows rested on his knees and his hands hanging limply as he stared at the ground.
There again, he did'nt have very much to be truly happy about.

Shutting his icy blue eyes, he felt as if he could doze off at any minute, since his work was done for the day...

"Awww how nice of him!" She smiles. "I think he told me yesterday he wasnt going to be in too." she pauses for a sec and eyes the title of the book maria was holding "So what kind of herb are you studying?"
