Q&A: I'm not really sure if it qualifies as a winter food, but about the only time I really make it is around this time. I make baklava and gift it to friends and family. It's a layered pastry from Greece that involves phyllo dough, butter and cinnamon tossed nuts. Once it comes out of the oven, I pour a sauce that consists of water, honey, sugar and vanilla. The happy sizzle noise that results from the sauce hitting the still hot pan makes me smile. It's also one of my favorite sounds, heh. It is something that everyone looks forward to. :)

From what I've tasted while I was in Australia, I really like steak and cheese. :drool:

I like just meat and cheese. I don't like the big chewy bits in the middle of my pie :gonk:
I like Shephard's pie as will... Or some people call them Potato Toppers.

Q&A: Mashed potatoes and gravy. I make a mound of it, hollow out the center, add in small bits of turkey and vegetable then fill it with gravy, cover it with mashed potatoes, [sometimes stick bits of turkey on the top,] then add more gravy and season with copious amounts of salt and some pepper. I'm almost twenty and I've been doing this since I was wee. Yeah, I know, but now you want to try it, right?

Oh my gosh. Shepard's pie is one of my favorite foods of all time.
