Doing pretty good... well.. I'm deskwarming at school... and been sitting for 2 hours... so I should probably stand up and see if I am stiff and sore and need to stretch out.

lol, I'm a teacher but darn it I only graduated two years ago... so... as much as I understand the teacher's view... I'm still very much understandable of the student's too

My teacher is all relaxed about me doing this anyway :P

It is where a teacher or other worker sits at a desk all day with nothing to do... but they have to come in because it is a "work" day even though all the kids are out of school and having fun.

I really should be grading papers... but the last two weeks burnt me out in that department so figured a day or two off from grading wouldn't be too horrible... I'll grade them tomorrow, the last day of deskwarming.

I'm waiting on some assignments I want marks for. Gosh, I really want to get my science assignment!!

Surprisingly yes. Not mentally tired or physically tired as much as motivationally tired. Tired of doing so much with no obvious gain. Tired of trying and giving so much of my energies and myself to the school and the kids only to have it thrown carelessly away. Tired of feeling like I'm worth anything to those who employed me or to the students whose parents pay so much to be in my classes. Tired of trying to think of new things to engage them. Tired of listening to their complaints about how my classes are not fun despite trying worksheets, group activities, games, music, popular music videos, and short clips. Tired of focusing on papers that need grading but are so full of errors that each one takes forever. Tired of trying to understand their use of English when it isn't used the way it is back home in the US. Just... emotionally tired??

Aww Poor maiden, it sounds rough..

The life of a teacher... most of my classes are draining... I have three that I really love... but... four others that are really hard...

I feel bloated

I agree, I've still got school and then work and then homework and then i need to make dinner and then I need to do it all again TOMRROWZ!!

no... 5 are middle school and 2 are high school... and they all think that because I am an American, they can boss me around... and the school supports them. So if I don't show movies in my classes like they want, they complain and then the school gets mad at me... but the school said no movies.
