I always find that I can appreciate a well crafted mashup. It really takes a certain level of creativity to be able to take two different songs and make them sound as if they were made to be one.
The reason I started thinking about that was the premier of Dj Earworm's annual remix of the top songs of the year.
What do you guys think? I'd definitely suggest checking out his previous years too. I think other than this one my favorite would have to be his 2009 "Blame It On The Pop".
I liked a lot of the mashups that Glee did. I haven't really kept up with the show since season 2 though due to a slight loss of interest, but I do sometimes listen to the songs that they come out with.
One of my favorite mashups at the moment is called "Crazy In The Deep". It's a combination of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" and Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy". Then there's another one by DJ Earworm that combines a song from the musical Damn Yankees called "Whatever Lola Wants" with a Nelly Furtado. It's just so catchy.
Yeah, those are just two songs that mesh really well. I really want to figure it out how to play it on the piano or something so I could sing it myself.
