SWEET TEA

in my tea.
How many spoon fulls

Fairly sweet
But I need more!

Stop then!
Way too sweet!
Let's try again...

MY HORSE
I ride my horse
Across the sea
I love my horse
My horse loves me
My horse can swim
And that's because
It is a seahorse
That I love

MY HOUSE
I live in a house
It's humble and small
There's yellow paint
Upon my wall
The photos hang
from rusty nails
And my garden houses
Many snails
There's just one story
My kitchen's tiny
But the tiles
Are so shiny
There's just one loo
And one bedroom
I sweep the front porch
With a broken broom
My bed is a cot
And my ceiling gets dusty
Because my step ladder
is old and rusty
But I love my house
And I call it home
And never would I choose
From it to roam

FORCED INTO SILENCE
Don't speak, little one
Or I shall sew up your lips.
Don't speak, at all
Or I shall cut out your tongue.
Do not question me
For I am your superior
Just do as I say
Do not pause to think.
I have been given power.
It is not for you to ask why.
I shall use it as I like.
And you must accept it.
Do not speak, child
Or I shall take your words.
Do not utter a sound.
Or I shall silence you forever.

DANCE, BALLERINA
You are my little ballerina
You dance away my sorrow
As long as the key is wound
You'll dance all through the 'morrow
Dance to pretty music notes
And spin away my tears
And when I close the music box
I lock away my fears

DRIFT AWAY
Drift away, my dolly
On your little paper boat
And I shall wish for sunshine
So that you may stay afloat
And when you drift ashore
And find yourself a love
Send one back to me as well
Upon the wings of a dove

SAY WHAT YOU MEAN
You say you love me
As you're pushing me away.
You turn your back from me
As you're telling me to stay.
You walk away from me
As you ask me not to leave.
But your actions make your words
A challenge to believe...

THE PARTY
Fancy dresses
Curly tresses
Dance the night away
Diamond rings
And fancy things
The orchestra will play
Wine and cheeses
Spring time breezes
We will all be gay
Cheerful chatter
Idle prater
Till the coming day

Oh wow, thanks haha ^.^; I saw that someone had posted here and I was confused and surprized all at once ^.^; I didn't think anyone even looked at this thread ^.^; I appreciate your compliments ^.^ It makes me happy to know someone enjoyed my babbles ^.^;

Some of the poems took closer to 7 or 8 minutes, but some took only 2 or 3... So I figure it evens out and averages at about 5 minutes ^.^;

They are really well done, and you're welcome. ^^ I'm pretty okay at rhyming, but I do my best at freeverse so I stick with that. XD But for even less than ten minutes, these are pretty well done. ^^ <3

THE QUEEN OF SPADES
The queen of spades
Was tall and slim
And her face was always
Pale and grim
She dressed in black
From head to toe
Her walk was always
Eerily slow
The bones within
Her fingers showed
And her knees
Were thin and bowed
Her subjects feared her
But they knew
Her enemies
All feared her too
