Not too familiar with Halo, I've played it a couple of times, but not enough to get the story down.
I like the idea of Fantasy or anything like that if you care to head that route.

I'm using the medievil type of Schools, so your character would be a Nyophyte.......Veral might only be an Adept. They're not really high in the school, but it's the only two that I can remember. ^^; If we're talking about time, it doesn't matter. Veral..I'd say's been there about two or three years though.

Okay let me try to explain:
The White School that I mentioned isn't really a school at all, not like the ones with grades and everything, it's more of a training facility for mages and the like who study White Magic, a Neophyte is the lowest of the rankings it's basically one who had just entered into the training, an Adept is someone who's been there for a few years and knows enough to get by, the Frater Superior/ Soror Superior is the Man/Woman in charge of the School and is overseer of all the others respectfully.
Veral is his name if I'm undersatnding you correctly. ^^
