Actually the AAs usually look around in multiple areas before choosing a winner :) You don't necessarily have to post in the avatar chat forums

I have a folder for the avvies, signatures, and art that I've made or recieved over the years relating to avatar sites.

Oh, I know that. I'm just saying, if you only post in a minuscule number of threads, your chances of being seen during those look-arounds are slightly larger if one of those threads is the Admin's Pick in the AC. XD
