I'm currently reading "Spinning Silver" by Naomi Novik. Her first book was really good so I bought this one as well. It's sort of like a twist on Rumplestiltskin about a girl who can turn things to gold. It sounds a little weird but I assure you it's a very good book so far! I'm about halfway through and started yesterday morning, lol!

It's kind of a subtle girl power book. Think like Howl's Moving Castle? The main protagonists are all girls.

I've been a bit slow with reading so far this year, got hit with a cold, then flu then a chest and sinus infection ;0;

I wish I could stay at home and read today...

i'm off ill so I could in theory read but sinus infection makes eyeball movement ouchie so ive been doing small stints

I read Howl’s Moving Castle for the first time last year. Well...read as in listened to the audio book. It had an older British lady reading it. She spoke very slow so I had to up the speed on the audio track 😂😂 but I really loved it. I’m unsure if I want to read the others in the series as I heard that Sophie and Howl aren’t the main characters.

Howls moving castle is by diana wynne jones no? If so I recommend 'Homeward bounders' by her :)

Yeah, Howl and Sophie aren't the main characters of the following books. There's a small relationship between the books but they also stand alone. They're good but not as good as the first book in my opinion.

I just finished my first book of the year

looks like I may finish my second book today - how is everyone else doing on their reading?

I just got a new iPad for my birthday so I’ll be able to read a lot more comic books. My kindle is a paper white so I use it only for text reading. (My old iPad was 8 years old and couldn’t be updated and almost all apps didn’t work)

I signed up for the shonen jump subscription so hopefully this year I’ll be able to read the entire One Piece series. 😂

I'm currently working through my 5th and 6th books of the year. Almost done with Spinning Silver which has been good so far! And about halfway through with P.S. I still love you which has also been pretty good.

Just finished book number five, Spinning Silver. I very rarely give five stars to something but the ending of that book was so amazing, I loved it.

Still kind of lost my count. XD but laying in bed during bad days during this pregnancy I've finished off 5 of the 6 Artemis Fowl books I own by Eon Colfer

Ahh, Artemis Fowl's a good series. It's one of the ones I'm working on adding to my collection ^^.

And apparently, at least according to the trailer on YouTurd, there's supposed to be a Fowl movie come out this year~

Yeah I'm not putting much faith in it because of how badly enders game ended up xD.. and pretty much every book movie except Harry Potter.

I'm prolls going to wait for it to come out on DVD and then check it out from the library, so I don't end up wasting money. Then I'll make my judgements on whether I want to see the rest of the movies (if they adapt the entire series, rather than pulling an Eragon and not adapting the rest of the series) in the theater.
