"Officer Edogawa!!!"
The female that had been engrossed in the paper work that she had been doing, which was mainly typing up and printing it out so that it could be filled and the information on it could not be lost from sitting or being handle. She was also saving it in the database. She had jerked her head up, looking for the person who had spoken to her, standing up just as quickly when she realized who it had been.
"Yes, Chief?!?" she said quickly before she made her way over to his office. Her stomach was knotted and twisted with each step closer to the intimidating male. He may be a bit balding and fatter then he used to be but he still had that muscle that helped him to do his job and to get the position that was in now, if you could see it, then you would see her shaking just a little bit as she stood before him finally.
"Excellent work on the case files." he said to her in a loud and booming voice, which was different from her soft, gentle and very feminine one.
"Thank you, Sir." she said to him as she bowed to him in respect as any underling would when being praised, though what he had to say to her next, caught her completely surprise.
"I want you to go and walk the beat. Nothing major like working with homicide, though I know how much that you want too." he said to her, after all it was just something minor, just walking around looking for people who were violating the law and passing out tickets but he knew he couldn't keep her locked up behind a desk for ever. No matter how much he would have liked too, for in his opinion females should not being doing dangerous jobs like this, but in this day and age there was no stopping it.
Suzuki was ecstatic. She could feel her spirit soar at the news, but she was still rather nervous with actually being able to do some police work other then paperwork, bowing once more. "Thank you, Chief!! I will do the department proud!" she said to him before she moved back to her desk, making sure she had her things before placing the police hat on her head, darting out the door. She had been also listening about the rumors on the new pi and apparently the criminal that she higher as her partner, but she just chalked it all up to jealous talk. Though she had been curious about them, after all it wasn't often that a criminal was given such an opportunity, she also wanted to know if the talk around the office was true too. She felt a slight chill go down her spine, but she was not going to let that damper her mood as she moved off to the part of the town that she was to patrol.
Ken'ichi froze there on the steps of the police station, that feeling was back, that cold feeling as if hell was coming up to swallow him whole as a woman whom seemed sensitive to sunlight passed by him. It was the same one that he had moved past inside the police station. He watched her for a few minutes before he heard someone yell for the female that he had constantly following. Standing up, he easily floated through the building door, moving to follow the female as he listened on to what was happening. He couldn't help the smile that crossed his face, he may not know much about him self but spending all this time with this female, he finally got to know her, and he had to admit that he was happy that she finally was able to do real police work, since she worked so hard for it. He then move back outside, looking towards the sky, jerking a bit when she walked through him, it was not something he was used too, he could only imagine how she felt walking through him. He was unaware of the car with the twins in it that pulled up as he started to walk away, following her as she made her way to where ever it was that she was going to work at.
