I read one short story so far. one more to go.

well, you're supposed to talk about the story whether you're leading the discussion or not. I'd have to say something about it regardless.

What makes it be a short story?
How long is it?

you can google that yourself! (about story length) but this story was under ten pages.
It was about a girl with an eating disorder who saw herself as an insect and her father was having an affair with the headmaster, but that didn't work out. it was very surreal and kinda Kafka like.

Is it a well-known author?

I don't know. it's published in a book called The Best American Short Stories of 2012. it's by Edith Pearlman.
