A lake is frozen

In fire or water
Now in the sky
So full of life.
For danger cannot reach
such heights.

to reach the heavens
then also to the depths of
hells!

And in these hells,
Ablaze we will be.
Forever to accept our tragedy.
Oh come there a day,
Where we may soar,
Our way back into the sky forevermore.
But perhaps this is wishful thinking,
Who is to say anymore,
What goals are obtainable and which are sinking...

While the ship is on shore
the quest has been lost.
Though Captain sees
nothing but trust.
For the winds have changed
And the sea has spoken.

The ships have been lost
to the sea many men
who have lost their lives
They become part of the sea

Washed up to the shore
The dead.
They will never be embraced again,
No love will be found in eternal darkness.
For hope is gone, and life is lost.
The dead.
They can no longer weep.

They can no longer eat
or sleep
for they will sleep forever.

Amidst a dream so real.
That only they can see.
But we are the actors
And they the audience.
For they see what we do.

We are the players in
this play called life
the audience is those who are still in the sky
to watch from above until
the final curtain is drawn

But as the play draws on
We act less, watch more.
The sky descends,
We weep for loss.
The rain pours down,
Washing away the paint.
We see reality then...

in the clear clean light of grey
clouds like blankets
security and solace
we remember the rain
when everything's wrong
and remember their names
to put into songs.
