Hello, and welcome to my documentation of my first week with my baby Yan. It's sure to be an adventure of epic proportions!

Today I adopted my Yan. He slept the entire car ride home, but the second I carried him in the door, he was up and running! He's a fast little scamp, too! So, I chased him all around the house, but eventually I had to give up. Luckily, I had child-proofed my house a week before, so there was no chance of him hurting himself, but I was still a bit worried. Finally, the sound of my little Yan running around the house subsided and I figured it was safe to go look for him. Guess where I found the little rascal?



That's right. In my panty drawer. *sigh*

I then realized that my baby Yan must have been cold! Taking into account that he is made out of paper, I decided the only option would be to craft him some paper clothes! I asked him what he wanted me to make him and the first thing he said was "I wanna be a ninja!"



I obliged him, of course, because he's my little boy and I love him, but that's not exactly the most practical of clothing options. I asked him if he would like to help draw his own clothes and he got so excited we had to take a bathroom break. Eventually, I calmed him down and we started drawing.



He managed to get colorful splotches all over himself, of course. That's ok, though. It's nothing that won't come off with a nice bath. :3

And voilà, the finished product! I think he did a very good job, don't you? And those shades are really cool, if I do say so myself. B)

After his bath and a nice pizza dinner, Yan was really sleepy. So we called our first day to a close and I got Yan situated in his bed. He said he was scared to sleep alone, so I made sure my stuffed dalmation Dotty and his teddy bear would protect him through the night. ;D

Well, that's the best way to do things! :D I'm always too sleepy after I eat to take a bath.

Today Yan and I got a burrito! That boy certainly has a voracious appetite. He ate almost an entire burrito by himself and then ate what he didn't finish as a snack later. D: He got a chicken burrito, in case you're curious.



And for dessert, he had an entire pint of ice cream. I swear, his stomach is an endless chasm.

Later, he asked me if I would read him some manga. Unfortunately, I gave all of my mangas to my little sister a few years ago, so I offered him the next best thing; a graphic novel. He seemed to enjoy Watchmen, though I'm not sure he really understood it. He said his favorite part was Silk Spectre's costume....

Deciding my baby Yan's diet has not exactly been healthy, I tried to have him eat some fruits and veggies. However, after crafting a lovely plate of apples, raspberries, blackberries, dried blueberries and a cucumber slice, all he did was stare at the plate, so I ended up eating it myself. Oh well.
