I am the one, that you still don't know.
The soul you crushed, and the heart you broke.
The heart that hung on every word you spoke.
You crushed me and left me after your show.
I pined there still broken when you went away.
Didn't know what to do, there was nothing to say.
I stood there staring deep into your eyes.
I watched for months while your love for me died.
Inside it wracked, and it ripped and it tore.
Now you've left my soul bleeding and sore.

Still I know someday you'll be simply replaced.
I'll look and feel nothing when I see your face.
You took your chance and you threw it away.
Didn't bother to know me for one single day.
You let me go so I'll find someone truer.
Someone trustworthy my mistrust to cure.
Someone with eyes that make yours look like sand.
They'll learn to know me, now won't that be grand.
Now I'll end this poem, and go write some prose.
You lied to me dear one. My venomous rose.
