Well, I'm only just teaching myself how to sew. I can't really read patterns or anything.
This is the second parasol I've tried to make, the first was made of lose and fail.

I just bought an umbrella, cut the existing material off, and used one of the existing materials triangular panels to cut my own panels with my material into the right size. I hemmed the panels I made, and sewed them together, now I'm adding lace + ribbon details, and then I'll attatch my panels to the umbrella frame.

I'm wearing my In The Starlight blouse, and a long black skirt with mary janes. I'd be properly dressed in lolita if I had a petticoat, some socks, and a headpiece.

My lecturer just walked up to me and told me she liked my blouse, and asked me where I got it. She said that if I were wearing white, I would look like an angel.

I put her on to In The Starlight and Anna House Fashions, she wrote the url's down and asked me about payment options and how long it takes etc.

It was really cute, we had a big old chat about parasols and such. When she saw the In The Starlight dolly blouse she gasped, and sha told me if I order things like nice dresses and parasols that I should take them to university to show her.

For one class we're making a video and it's going to be a dark/horror Alice in wonderland. it's not going to be full lolita, but I'm trying to get some loli influences in there.
I'm playing Alice, I'll be wearing a kurololi type outfit with a white bloodstained apron (which I guess calls for white socks, and perhaps a black and white headpiece? Though I have an all black headpiece that looks lovely...)

On the last day of school, I came in a red blouse, red hairbow, red/black striped socks, and a black jumperskirt. Two friends said I looked like a gothic Alice. And a random girl asked if I was cosplaying Mana >>;;;

Yeah, I'd be buying an existing apron (two actually, I need two matching ones, one with bloodstains, one without) and then editing them, so they will get short. (Especially if I cut off the bottom of the apron to make the ruffles...)
