We have two cats and my bird. Also feeeeeeseh. And my dog lives with my parents far away.
Checkers and Burlioz are the cats, both big and old. And attention demanding, must sit in your lap whether or not you have something else in it.

Gotta love cuddly pets :P My other two cats, well they are known as freakers. Tom runs away from anything and just acts loopy and Tik is in and out like a yo-yo.

Checks like giving kisses and standing like a meercat. She's a silly kitty that moos instead of meowing.

Yep! You got it right.

I'm enjoying hearing everyone's animal stories. :3

I'm just glad I have a place I can go on about Oscar. Most other people think I am mad when I talk about him like he is a person. Cats have so much personality and quirks. Sometimes other animals, great and small, can have strange quirks.

We had a goldfish once called Scitzo and he liked swimming up against the tank's glass and giving you kisses. He was a really friendly fish. That was the end of him :( One of my cats got into the bedroom and caught him. Poor Scitzo :(

Hahahaha, yeah. He was a great fish. I guess it was our fault for not covering his tank properly. We never yell at our cats though, they just do what cats are bound to do. There's a fish swimming in a tank, what would you do as a cat? It's like free food, especially when the fish gets friendly and swims up to the glass.

I haven't had fish in ages. I wouldn't mind a fish tank, but last time we had one I was responsible for keeping it clean...and I really did not enjoy it.

I do remember having a red tailed shark that we had to make sure the top of the tank was always closed as they're known jumpers. He ended up killing off most of the tank too...They are pretty aggressive. Or at least he was.

A shark? O_O;;

Where I used to live, we had a pet frog. We had to catch flies for him because my Aunt refused to spend money on those worms and maggots you can get to feed frogs. We used to run around the house with a net and catch as many flies as possible.

That was what sort of frog he was, a pest introduced to New Zealand a long time ago from Australia. I don't know if he is still alive though. Frogs don't tend to last a long time as pets.

He used to escape if his tank hadn't been cleaned in awhile, and I once found him in my room. Naughty frog. Almost killing himself to escape his tank. Actually, he probably was a female, because he never croaked and females don't croak.

That's a very colorful frog, indeed! I don't think we get very colorful frogs here in my corner of the US.

I don't think I've ever had a frog as a pet. Fish, lizards, cats, dogs, birds....yeah no frogs.

And that one guy is a red tailed shark but they don't typically get bigger than a couple inches.

I know the rainforest cafe I went to as a kid had a shark that swam around the tank they had.

I never thought about owning a shark of any sort O_O;;

Though we used to see piranhas in the pet store. They were the ones that weren't very vicious and were bred especially to live in large tanks with other fish.

I have a cat and a horse. The kitty, Kamea, is a long haired kitty with Siamese markings, who seems to think she is a dog. She LOVES to play fetch and will even bring you her toy and beg you to throw it. She also loves rubbing on shoes, have no clue why, and sleeping on pants.

My horse is a little Welsh Cob mare named Belle, yes after the Beauty and the Beast Character. She is my baby and will follow me around, no halter or lead rope, like a puppy.

I've always wanted to ride a horse, but my mother has a fear of them and prevented me from riding one. Which was a shame because we lived next to a small farm one time and they had two horses.

It always saddens me to see the people that have wanted to ride but haven't been able to. Belle was pretty skittish and high-strung when I first got her from a horse sale. I suspect some mishandling or maybe abuse at one point in life, but she has really calmed down now.

It's amazing what a little love and kindness can do to an animal. Oscar is my sister's cat, but she never really looked after him. His fur was usually really greasy and he was skinny, scrawny thing. Now his fur is soft and silky, and he's getting pretty fat. And he is the most cuddle-iest cat I have ever had.

Yeah. People often don't realize that a little love and kindness is all an animal needs. Sometimes that pet that is giving you so much trouble just wants some love and attention.

Yup. Oscar used to piss in the house, but now he doesn't because he respects me and loves me. Pets only do that in spite of their owners, or for attention.
