I prefer traditional because it looks nice and it's used more often than simplified in Hong Kong. XD

愛 and 爱 - traditional character for love vs the simplified one.
The simplified one has no 心 in it. ;^; What's love without heart?! (I'm a dork XD)

NO, lol, I typed the wrong jin. is 进 is the simplified. 進is the traditional one.
进 and 近 was close in my list. DX

...hmm... the way Chinese arrange their verb and noun to make up a sentence is different than English...

if the sentence structure is wrong, I would always suspect it a translator one.

I was born and raised in Australia but my parents are fairly good at Chinese plus I went to Chinese school when Ｉ　ｗａｓ　ｙｏｕｎｇｅｒ．

only China influence would call Chinese 国语.

I found that a bit funny, since 国语 in my country means other language.
国语 = means National Language
