Myles, dressed in only the most fashionable clothes—which, of course, would include nothing less than his adorable frock-like coat, a top hat decorated with a most beautiful pink flower, silly blue goggles with flowers designed ornately on the sides, complete with thick yellow lenses, a scarf with adorable rainbow stripes and numerous beads, and a set of black dress gloves—turned down an alley quickly, walking with more than a little haste.

He raised a gloved hand to tuck back a few strands of his hair—rustic in color, for the time being—safely behind his ears as he continued. His boots clacked with each step he took, creating an eerie echo. He couldn’t make out any other footsteps, and was therefore relieved…for the moment.

The sun was bound to rise in an hour or so, but certainly this wasn't the reason for the male's haste. He turned down another alleyway, his pace increasing when voices grew louder in the distance. Now would be a fine time to be safe at home, but no, of course he would have gotten himself lost in this labyrinth of dark alleyways in this filthy city. If he were home, maybe he wouldn't have these thugs chasing after him.

[[Hope there's enough for you to work with...]]

Lee stood in the alley way for hours. With riped jeans, a plain black wife beater and his hair loosely tied back into a ponytail he stood like a statue waiting for the sun to finally depart. He looked around at the few others waiting for the sunset as well and stood equally as still. His best man was with him to his left and looked up at the sky.

The sun did set within minutes when he noticed how long he had been standing there. He hated waiting out the sun and loved when it rained. It made things better in every way. He was able to walk out with everyone else and not have to wait for nightfall. Also nightfall made everything and everyone more attractive. With tight wet shirts to glistening shoes he loved it all.

When the night came the people in the alleyway began to scatter. His best man departed from his side and stared at him. Lee sighed and looked back at the wall, leaving the man to walk away from Lee.

When everyone was out of site Lee got a sniff of something. He turned his head and looked at the opposite exit from where the others left through. The smell smelt young. A younger. . . man he concluded to himself without moving an inch. He was heading this way and Lee smiled to himself for a moment then went back to his normal casual stance. . . waiting for this young man to walk by him.

Myles walked quickly down the alleyways, trying to map out which way he'd come and remember just where it was he could leave. Of course, he was a little frantic and ended up having no clue where he was or where he was going. He'd just...keep walking. Or running? He didn't know if he should start running, and the thought really did cross his mind when he turned another corner and started down a new way.

It wasn't that late; where was everyone? Or anyone? ...Did he even want help? Would anyone even give it?

Oh, questions and questions. Such a dilemma.

Lee was still looking at the direction of the young male that was coming this way and decided he wanted to have a little bit of fun. Lee slowly but gracefully moved from his spot on the wall and made slow and quite steps over to the males direction. He stayed in the shadows and against the walls at all times.

Then he spotted him. Overly dressed he had noticed and thought of him being late to an event or something of the sort.

'He must be lost' Lee thought to himself and grinned. He then moved around so he was behind the young man and smiled.

"Lost are we?" He said as he tried place himself in the same position as he was in against the wall earlier. The boy looked a little frighted but Lee did not care. He had seen that face many times before and it didn't bother him now or would it ever. He looked over again at the boys features and tried to evaluate him.

Seeing the panic in his eyes he looked around him and at the small and distant dark figures lurking in the shadows. Lee laughed to himself and thought of the irony. He took another glance at them and noticed he wasn't one of his own and frowned.

'This one would be mine' He smiled to himself then looked over to the man again.

"You look scared. . . Whats the hurry?"

Myles gave a little cry of shock, his hand flying over his heart as he became momentarily paralyzed.

"Whoa," he said, glancing quickly at the male who had startled him so very much. "You...uhm, yes, I'm in a hurry. I have to go before, uh...they catch up with me. Yeah, hi. Sorry," he said, starting forward again. He paused. "Hey, you wouldn't know where we were, though, would you?"

God, this place was strange. And a little scary, Myles noticed, a little put off by all the darkness.

Lee looked blankly at the man in front of him then over at his predators and smirked to the man. He moved to stand beside the man and looked into the alley way again and asked the young man a question without keeping his eyes off the alleyway.

"Do you need to run away from them?" He was quite curious to this odd behavior. He was used to the fear he gave others to the way he would kill them in the end but he was confused as to what these creatures planned to do with him and found it fascinating. He quickly turned to see the boys face and looked into his eyes waiting for a responce.

"If you want I can lead you out of here for a price." He smirked at the idea and then walked back to stand in front of the young man.

Myles weighed his options.

Get killed or pay a price...and then maybe get killed, anyway.

...He'd take a chance. "Okay."

Watching the male as he walked around him, Myles knew only one thing that he wanted to ask; he didn't care about prices right now, but he was determined not to be slaughtered by a stranger. "What's your name?" he asked, the hysteria dying away from his voice just a bit.

Lee looked ahead and didn't even pass a glance at the young man as he asked him his name. He begin to walk forward and turned into another alleyway. His steps where so quiet that only the man's shoes seemed to be the only sound in the alley except for the dead rats and cats eating garbage.

"My name is Lee." He said flatly. It was then when he was about to turn into another alleyway that he stopped and looked at him sorta bored. The man still looked scared and he had every right to be. Lee had led him halfway out of the alley and begin to see his comrades watching him walk with the man. He gave a warning low growl to anyone that looked interested in the man and continued away.

He knew the man would only tell his name soon enough as to not seem rude but Lee did not care. He would kill him soon enough so what was with names? He stood there waiting for the man to tell him his name without Lee having asked him and sighed.

This was already getting bored. He looked behind the young man and saw that the predators were still following but not so enthused as they once where. They were kiddish and that made Lee want to smirk but he held his bored stance. He looked into the young mans eyes for a moment then over at his best man who was walking stealth fully behind them a bit and then glanced at the predators. His best man grinned and turned away and headed for the men. They would be alive for only seconds more.

"Oh. Nice to meet you, Lee," Myles said, wondering if he'd have been better off trying to escape on his own. This man was frightening enough, but at least there was only one of him.

"...What price did you want, again?" Myles asked as he followed the other, a little more hesitant now.

Lee continued to look at the young man hiding his surprise. For once his prediction didn't come true. But that was no matter. It was nothing and he would forget it for now. So since the young man did not give his name he ignored his other questions and asked.

"What is your name Young man?" He asked in a dull tone. He moved so all his weight was on one foot and he began to smile a bit when his sensitive hearing picked up the screams of the men who had been following the boy before him. The screaming was like music and he loved to hear everything he could. He then looked more closely at the man and his face grew more into a smile. He would have fun with this boy.

But did he want this fun to end in just one day? Maybe he could stock the boy a bit and make the fear carry. He debated for a bit while he waited for the mans reply.

"Uh...M'names' Myles," the male said, a creeping dread lingering in his stomach. He kept telling himself that there wasn't really anything to be afraid of, this man was...nice enough for helping him get away. "But does it matter...?"

He didn't want to slow down, but suddenly his whole body felt just too heavy. One limb after another just sort of shut down. He only then realized the constriction of his chest and the lightheadedness; he took a deep breath and tried to keep his pace.

...He still wanted to know what this man expected from him.

"Myles. . . " Lee repeated to the young man. He thought of the name for a moment and thought it fit the man perfectly. It was then that he decided what he was going to do with this Myles and he was going to have fun. But that would be for later. Now he was going to lead him outside the alley.

He looked away from Myles and begin to walk in front of him again. he smiled to himself at the plans he had in store. He looked at his comrades for a moment and noticed their puzzlement for a moment and shrugged it off. He gave them food and he kept them from the bad ones so who was he to explain himself to his followers.

He walked for a couple of minutes until you could see the exit of the alley. He turned and smiled to Myles and leaned against a nearby wall.

"My payment will be postponed until later. Do not forget that you owe me however. Because I will be coming back to collect." He grinned at the man and begin to turn away. He kept his steps quiet as to hear if the man had something else to say.

"Oh, but...well, okay," Myles said, thouroughly confused. How could this man collect payment--what was it again?--if he didn't know anything about Myles other than his name? ...He wasn't going to say anything about it, though.

"...Thanks," Myles added after a quick second, "for helping me."

Lee waved his hand from behind him and smirked to himself and kept walking back into the shadows of the night. He put his hand back to his side and was almost out of earshot from the man when he yelled to him.

"Don't forget your dept!" He said it loud enough for him to hear him then walked away.

When he was alone again he noticed his follower glaring at him with intense eyes. That was when his best man appeared from behind him and stared at him asking an unspoken question. Lee's smirk did not vanish as he looked back at his best man and pointed to the place he had walked away from.

"No one shall harm that man. He is mine. Is that understood?" He said to everyone and no one at the same time. He growled as a warning to everyone and they all backed away again into the shadows. His best man stayed by his side and stared at the empty alleyway.

"Why?" He asked in a little bit of confusion and interest.

Lee just grinned to himself and leaned against the wall. He kept to himself for about an hour when he got bored quickly. His best man had left and he was alone.

It took Myles only a short moment to locate himself once he'd been led out of the darker alleys. From there it took him only twenty minutes to get to his shabby little apartment. He could have afforded better, but he choose this one for its cheapness; he'd been saving up as much money as he could for the longest while.

He lived on the third floor of the unfriendly looking building, room 307. Though the apartment complex itself might have looked to be completely in shambles, Myles took great care to make his quarters as friendly as possible. He unlocked the door and stepped inside quickly, locking it again. He carefully placed his hat, scarf, goggles, and coat on a coat hanger located just by the door and threw his gloves on the counter, leaving him in just a plain white button down shirt and very dark black pants--after he'd kicked off his boots, of course.

He was hungry and tired, though made it his first priority to take a shower; it lasted only just long enough to get clean. He changed into his blue pajamas, his favorite pair with the little yellow ducks printed all over them and went into the kitchen to make dinner.

He had just one lovely bowl of Lucky Charms and made sure to feed his pet cat, Mr. Snuggles and Fluffs, before he went to the bathroom to brush his teeth.

It seemed forever before he was able to climb into bed, but that certainly made it feel all the better.

Lee waited for the sun to start to reach above the sky when he sped off. He had little time but he would do what he wanted. He ran toward the boys scent and smirked when he cough it in a matter of moments. He ran for minutes it seemed when he spotted where the trail ended.

He was standing in front of a old broken down building. He did not like this and frowned to no one. He ran so fast he was able to walk on the wall for moments and found his window. He looked through it and found Myles sleeping in his bed. He looked around his place the best he could through the window and his frown deepened. He did not like this. He would not enjoy stocking people with this kind of lifestyle.

But he looked to have so much more money in the alley. He thought to himself and then noticed how little time he had. He would make a surprise for the boy the next night. He promised to himself and grinned. That was when he ran back to the alleys and waited for the falling sun.

Myles didn't wake up for the longest time; it had to be two or three in the afternoon he guessed while observing the sun glaring into his window. He stretched lazily and did the same routine as always, glad that he was able to catch up on his sleep. It wasn't always easy working late nights, so he relished every chance he got to catch up on his lost slseep.

So far as he knew, he was off tonight and tomorrow night as well, giving him plenty of time to go shopping and catch up with his every day life.

He, still in his pajamas, decided that it wasn't early enough for dinner, but certainly late enough not to have to change. He entered his living room, and though it was more furnished with seemingly random items--such as a framed picture that looked like it had been painted by a child or the statue of a funny looking tiki-man sitting by his couch, or even the stuffed animals--seemed to fit Myles just perfectly. He didn't mind their silent company and found that it made his house all the more comfortable.

So, he cleaned. Straightened things up and reorganized the clutter he'd attained over his many years living here. He'd always had a hard time letting go of personal belongings, which might explain why he still had the teddy bear his mother had gotten for him when he was still just a baby. It was, after all, the only thing he had left of her, and aside from his older brother, Jeremy, or Mr. Snuggles and Fluffs brought him the most comfort in the world.

Myles turned on a few lights in the house when the sun first began setting; he hated it when it got dark in his empty home. He turned on the television to keep away the silence and meandered into the kitchen to fix himself a ham and cheese sandwich for dinner.

Lee talked to his comrades all day. Discussing what kinds of things they had planed for their soon to be guests in a couple of days. The day was long and his comrades were brainless. They talked of nothing but food and war. He enjoyed food and war as much as anyone in his group but he easily would become bored. He handed over the attack information to his best man and began to walk out of the alley when the sun began to fall.

He walked aimlessly for a while when he decided to pay a visit to his new friend. He began to head toward the way of his excuse for an apartment.

He noticed a few lights were on so he assumed he was awake and decided to give his new play thing a present. So he began to look around his apartment complex building. He didn't want to loose eyesight so he began to scoop out the people walking by.

"Too skinny. Not handsome enough. . . To fat." HE started to look at the details of the people he was looking and and sighed in frustration.

Myles remained in his apartment and was having a pleasant, alebeit one-sided, conversation with his cat as he ate the sandwich. He sat on the kitchen counter, the cat next to him, and pet the thing with one hand.

Apparantly the cat wanted some of his sandwich, but Myles was unrelenting to his stubborness despite the cat's pleading.

Lee found the perfect man by only a few minutes having passed and smiled. He lured the man away from the main roads and sent him into the alley. He then ran as fast as he could away from the man into the flower shop and stole a single red rose. He ran back before the man started to panic and smiled evilly to him.

He unlashed his followers on him and they began to feed. They were very quick and Lee basked in the screams the man gave. Then before all his blood was completely drained he pull the vampires off of him and pulled out his wrist.

He pulled the white rose out from his side and placed it under the mans wrist and watched the blood drip onto the rose. He smiled at the artistic aspect of this rose and grinned when the last bit of blood left in the mans body dripped away onto the rose.

He then ordered his men to dispose of the body and he continued back to where this Myles was. He then left the single blood red rose on the front door mat of Myles house and rang the doorbell. He waited until he heard footsteps before he rain away but he didn't go far. He wanted to see the reaction Myles had for the rose. And for some reason the reaction he would get from Myles would not be what he expected.

Myles hadn't been expecting anyone to arrive, and figuring was the landlord come to yell at him for not paying for this month--which, of course he had when he'd dropped the check off just this morning, but that bastard always liked to drop by and give Myles a scare in any way that he could--he lazily hopped off the counter and left his sandwich on the plate. "Don't eat that," he said to the cat when he went to the front door and opened it.

Needless to say, he was very suprised when his landlord was not in front of him, nor was anyone. Just a single red rose that he might have missed if he hadn't seen that vibrant red out of the corner of his eye. He glanced down at it and picked it up after a moment of hesitation. He twirled it between his fingers than glanced left and right down the hallway and, finding no one, closed his door. Not but a few seconds later did the door reopen and Myles placed in return a little folded card that read, 'Thank you~!' in bright pink lettering--for, that had been the only color of pen he had available at that very instant. A smiley face was drawn on the back.

The male figured that, despite the rose seeming sort of strange for some reason, he should at least thank whomever went through the trouble to deliver it, and since no one had been around to thank...well, he did the next thing that came to mind. Again, the door closed behind him and he locked it when his task was done. The rose was brought to the kitchen, where it was placed on the counter in such a fashion that Myles might look at it while he ate dinner.

Lucky for him, his cat hadn't decided to run off with his sandwich.

Lee stared at the doormat in wounder for about half a second. That was not what he was expecting. He thought for a moment and only came to the conclusion that the blood was just the color of the rose or something. That was fine with him however. He didn't mind at all.

This is going to be fun. Maybe next time i should give him a hand. That will be more interesting to see his reaction. Maybe he wouldn't have one?

All these thoughts plus more came rushing through his head and he couldnt help but smile. He would have to see him again face to face. Maybe a visit at his work? He thought for another in front of his door and then proceeded to knock on it.

He smiled evilly to himself.

Myles was just about to jump onto the counter again when there was another knock at his door. He gave a sigh, wondering if this time it was going to be the landlord. "Don't eat that," he reminded his cat as he again returned to the front door.

He unlocked it less than skillfully and just sort of stared at the figure on his doorstep. "...Hi?"

Lee noticed Myles open the door but continued to stare beyond him at his apartment. It looked worse then what he had saw in the window. He did not like this. He begin to walk inside with no invitation and with protest from Myles but didn't even notice his attempt.

"So this is where lost Myles lives? Why do you live in such a rat hole? What do you do for a living?" He asked in a bored manner as he wiped one of his fingers across one of his counter tops of his kitchen.

He looked at his fingers with disgust and then looked back at Myles waiting for a reply.

"...I'm really sorry about the condition of my house," Myles said, knowing that although it might have been small and cramped, he did his very best to keep it as clean and tidy as possible. Myles himself hesitated by the door, as if unsure to close it or what.

"How did you know I lived here?" he asked instead of answering any of the questions. He had a right to know, didn't he?
