Patting her near-to-non existent chest, Keiko sat on the roof of her home. She sighed softly as she gazed at the sky. She lived a far distance from the city , but due to her being possessed by a dragon she could just simply fly back and forth. She was waiting for something good to happen, but her eyes were getting heavy on her. This was no time to be staying up star gazing!

She stood up and dusted herself off. The room of her house was designed to be accessible from withing the building so getting back in was no problem. She figured to just turn in for the night, there was no impending danger near her, perhaps she could relax for once. She was far enough away from all the action in the city and she did not have any sensing ability. She snuggled up to her pillow as she closed her eyes, awaiting for the next day.

(That's a good cue for somebody to 'drop' in :p )

Flinching as the strange red head used what looked like powers, Beth began doubting his alliance. If it was a power that he had, then he wouldn't be on the side of the government. Tentatively, she reached out with her ability to copy powers, hoping that that was indeed what he turned out to be using to defend himself. The familiar rushing sensation of copying a power filled her, bringing along with it an easing of the tension she portrayed by how she held herself.

Once he was confirmed to be a super, and, unknowingly, a mutant, Beth stopped the wave and allowed her armor to dissipate. A slight probe of telepathy verified his promises as true, and Beth found herself walking up to him without fear. She stopped outside of the shield in front of him, waiting for him to take it down before she would come any closer. She knew that it wouldn't kill her to touch it, but she also knew that he could change it and then use it to hurt her. In other words, she felt it best not to get too close.

"I'm Elizabeth," she said, introducing herself. By now, she was smiling a good bit, overjoyed to find someone who wouldn't be trying to kill her in a heartbeat. "What's your name? You might also want to know that someone is watching us on the roof over there." Her telepathic scan of Sammael had also been a bit larger in scale than she had intended due to her emotions, instead covering an area of about fifty yards, which included Stone on the roof. She didn't read her mind or anything, just sensed her though, so she had no idea what her intents were.

Wade put the glove in his pocket "Dude, cut it out. This is all the clothing I have left. "he said, then started running, his pistols dangling at the sides. He honestly Had NO idea what he was getting himself into, but decided, for the hell of it, to just go with it.

Samael flinched slightly as he felt another kind of power reach towards him, but did not back off. Remaining calm as always, he studied her, noting how she seemed to relax after her power washed over him for a second time. Then suddenly, she dropped her shield and the odd wind halted, a few papers floating to the ground as a can rolled by his dome. Blinking he watched as she started towards him, more than a little confused by the sudden change in her disposition and much more than a bit curious as to what the nature of her powers were.

When she stopped before the shield, he followed suit. Letting his hold on the red shield fall, the translucent dome wavered until it simply melted away and a small amount of the energy returned to his outstretched hand. It was something he still had to work on, retrieving the energy once he let it fall out of formation or was broken from his hold. For some reason it didn't react the same.

Once the energies had faded, he gave her a warm smile but it faltered as she told him of their audience. Glancing to the building indicated, he narrowed his eyes as he tried to make out the dark form that lurked in the shadows of the roof. After a moment he turned back to the girl, his smile back in full. "Well, Elizabeth, my name is Samael, and it is a pleasure to meet you. You look like you're quite tired... did you walk for long?" He asked as he adjusted his bag at his shoulder. He remained crouched, not only to keep himself closer to her level for ease of conversing, but to be ready for any potential attacks. They needed to get somewhere safer than the middle of the street in the slums of New York, somewhere public to discourage any sort of attack. The girl had been very on edge and on the defensive, which made him feel like she had something she was avoiding, perhaps even running from, by her appearance.

Stone shuddered and leaned against her staff slightly, the pain sending needles down her nerves. Still, she stubbornly watched the two to make sure it would be alright. So her employee was a super.... and so was the girl. She frowned to herself, she wished she could hear them. He seemed to want to help the girl... Still, maybe she'd stay just a little longer to be sure. She of all people knew that what supers seemed in their daily lives was not always who they truly were.

She stood as tall as she could against the staff as she debated if she should take her emergency pill she always had hidden away. The pain was still bearable but she wasn't sure how long it would be. The fight with the shadow user had been a bit much for her as she acted too physically. She should have been more careful.... but her anger with herself over failing to save them just as she had failed to save her father had made her rash as it always did.

Beth was a bit surprised to see the flame-headed man flinch in reaction to her copying, but didn't say anything about it as he dismantled his shield in front of her. Most people were clueless about it, though it typically didn't happen on purpose either. Not to mention his powers dealt with energy, so it was really only natural that he would feel it. Cocking her head to the side, she felt for the girl on the roof, checking to make sure that she was still there. If she came closer, chances were that Beth would react rather extremely.

In fact, she was so focused on the girl that she forgot that Samael was speaking to her, his question drawing her attention again. "Yeah, I am sort of tired. It was a long distance to walk," she answered, blushing slightly as she looked down at her feet. Despite her apparent trust of the man, her speech betrayed her with its vague and secretive tone. It wasn't that she disliked the man, but that she had gotten used to keeping secrets from others. He did seem friendly enough though, so hopefully he would help her out. For example, while she knew it was childish, the fact that he was at eye level with her made her feel a lot better.

Wiping her runny nose with the back of her sleeve, she said, "Do you have somewhere we can go? I don't know where I'm going to stay tonight." While she felt kind of guilty for asking Samael such a question upon first meeting him, Beth also knew that she could pull her own weight, and so hopefully wouldn't be a burden at all. Not to mention that it would also get them away from the girl who was watching them, which had seriously begun to freak Beth out, as evident from the way the cans nearby rattled.

Absently concealing the scar on her face, Beth pulled out her water bottle for another drink. Of course, she was used to the smell of stagnant water, and so it didn't bother her to drink for such a bottle. But she never accounted for what someone else would think. She dealt with her scar in the opposite manner; she covered that as much as possible because she was afraid that people would know too much about her just from that. Sure, it was a bit paranoid, but when the government was chasing you, it paid to be overly cautious more than being reckless.

Haru Yuki

Humans were strange. This planet was nothing like home to Haru. Back on his planet, it was always twilight, the sky bathed in either the sunset of two suns, or the blue and purple stars that made up thee galaxy constellations. He missed home, but there was no turning back now. He could not risk it with the war going on. He was afraid of what might have happened back home in his absence. He looked out at the people passing by. He had aquired a building that was abandoned, and had made it a home. Slowly bit by bit he had been fixing it up, to cover his life here on earth. It was strange to be among people who knew nothing of his planet, of of who he was. They did not kneel or bow whenever he passed, they did not call him by any high title here. It was kind of refreshing, to be just another person. He had aquired clothing, hiding away the traditional clothes from his home, and had begun to learn their way of speaking.

He still had a ways to go, but it was coming along nicely. He smiles a bit, and wonders if there were any people who he could get to know here. Being on his own was becoming more of a hassle, he missed the companionship of people. He mainly missed his family, but since they were out of the question, he would just have to find a new one here. A new family? He sighs, there was no one who could replace his true family, but he had to find someone at least to confide in or something. He steps out of the building, and looks around. A few people were around, but not many. He was not afraid of someone breaking in. He had brought with him a Rofnak, which on his planet was something similar to what the earthlings would call a dog, only this was no earth dog. The animal was hiding for now, but would watch over his home while he was gone.

He smiles, it was a nice evening, he turned to the right walking out to the main road. The people glanced at him as he passed, but he did nothing more then smile and occasionally wave to them. They nod a bit, and go about theit way. He headed along the road, not quite sure where to go, or what to do at the moment. He wondered if he should get some training in later, it had been awhile since he had last trained in his abilities. If he stopped his training, he would fall behind and become weak. If he ever went home, being weak would be a dishonorment to his family. He had to keep in top shape as the earthlings would say. He smiles, this was going to be fun.

Samael frowned slightly. Somewhere to stay for the night? He could take her back to his place, but if anyone were to stop them and question his taking a little girl into his home there could be problems. Still, he couldn't abandon her... His nose crinkled slightly as he caught the scent of the water she was sipping, the pungent smell of the old, unclean water setting his determination even more firmly. Regardless of what or who Elizabeth was running from, he wasn't going to turn his back on a child in need. If she did turn out to cause trouble, he knew how to deal with her. At least, he hoped he did.

"Yes, I have a house not too far north, just a short ride on the metro and we're there. You can rest there as long as you need to." He said after a moment, giving a comforting smile before glancing around the area again, including where Elizabeth had pointed out the woman. Standing, he brushed a stray curl of hair from his face and looked down at the powerful young mutant. "Come, let's get you cleaned up. I can also make something for you to eat." he said, trying not to sound like he was pressuring her at all. The sense of urgency was growing as he felt more uncomfortable out in the open. There was something unsettling about the woman standing watch over them, and there was a subtle tension building, though he wasn't sure if it was just his own or something more.

Yawning, Beth nodded to the man's suggestion. It sounded as good as anything else if she was being honest. Especially since the woman was still watching them. The mention of food as the duo walked away from the street and towards the metro caused her stomach to rumble, making her blush while reminding her that she hadn't eaten anything but crackers in the last few days. A meal would be wonderful, maybe even more than a warm bed. The thought left her feeling giddy and excited, which showed in her posture and step. Maybe he has some tea too! she thought, smiling as the thought of the hot drink filled her mind. It would do wonders to chase away the cold in her body after all.

Before too much longer, they were on board the metro and moving along towards the destination. The presence of the strange woman faded almost to nothing, allowing Beth to relax enough on the vehicle that she fell asleep, the exhaustion of the past few days catching up with her. As she slept, she subconsciously leaned into Sammael, finding comfort in his large, warm body. All pretense of her being adult-like fled while she was asleep, looking exactly like the kid that she was. Her sleep was short-lived however, as the metro ground to a halt at their destination. The strange sound snapped her from her slumber, though the grogginess was still present enough that, if she hadn't been grasping Sammael's coat, she wouldn't have gotten off of the vehicle.

When the subterranean train ground to a halt, Samael put a protective hand on Beth's shoulder and ushered the half-awake girl on to the concrete platform. After they had gotten past the gates he adjusted his bag, then carefully scooped her up, hushing any complaints she may have with simple logic and warm reassurances. He then carried her the two blocks to his small home, keeping a wary eye on the the ancient shops and well-established, homey restaurants that lined either side of the street, their darkened fronts being a known hang out of the local gang.

His home was an old, narrow two-story house that showed it's age; the weathered oak doors creaked and the maple floors groaned, but the inside was as warm- and exotic- as it's owner. Carved wood, mosaic tiles, plush cushions, intricate rugs and fascinating baubles from around the world filled the rooms, from kitchen to bedroom. Ushering Elizabeth through the door, Sam shut it tightly behind them, fighting the knob for a moment to make it stay.

"Why don't you just make yourself comfortable, I'll fix something for you to eat." He said as he gestured towards the couch, chair and coffee table littered with books that made up the living room.

Aingeal slid to the floor of his apartment, his knees making a loud thump that woke him from the near blackout that had taken him. Blinking and groaning, he groped about the room for his bedside table and the dim lamp that would be easy on his eyes. Once he tapped the base of it and the soft light washed over him, he let out a sigh and flopped his head over onto the bed. They were quiet now, nearly silent. The teleporting and use during the brief battle with the woman in blue drained them as much- no, more than it did him. This was as much peace as he got, and he relished the relative silence in the air of his apartment, only the white noise of the city that never sleeps outside his bedroom walls reaching his ears.

One of the first things that Beth was aware of upon fully regaining her mental faculties was Sammael's hand on her shoulder, for which she was grateful. She had almost expected him to just bail on her once the train stopped. Those feelings led to some curiosity as well though. Sammael had no obligation to help her in any way; in fact, it would probably have been safer to have left her back on the street. So, what was in it for him?

That train of thought was derailed when Sammael scooped her into his arms, her arms wrapping around his neck by reflex at the sudden movement. "Warn me next time, will ya?" she snapped, her exhaustion making her rather irritable. Still, he was able to counter all complaints before she could seem to formulate them. It wasn't as if she completely hated that he was carrying her like a kid. Really, his body was much warmer than her own. Not to mention that she could relax for once, even if just for a few moments, in his arms. She didn't have to worry about being ambushed or anything.

Beth didn't really get an impression from the exterior of Sammael's abode considering that she was dozing on and off throughout the walk, but she did get the feeling that it was an oddity among the other buildings she had seen in the city. By the time she was guided through the front door, she was wide awake, and so obtained a better grasp of what the interior was like. The sheer eccentricity of it prompted Beth to move from object to object, testing and admiring everything. She didn't, however, move beyond the first floor, nor did she enter any rooms if the door was closed. Her years at the Camp had taught her that punishments followed crossing boundaries.

After several minutes, she remembered his directions. Wide-eyed at the thought that she had done something she wasn't supposed to, she scurried to the living room and plopped herself into a chair, peeking towards the kitchen to see if she had been caught or not. A temptation to peek in the books passed over her, which was strange considering she couldn't read. In fact, the extent of her language education had been half of the alphabet. After that, they had been relocated to the Camp, a place where education of potential supers wasn't very high on the list of priorities. Still, she enjoyed the look of them, and so contented herself with admiring the things she could see from her place on the couch, including the books, while she waited.

A young super so vulnerable and easily talked into going into a strange house... she couldn't just go home no matter what she felt. she followed them slowly, using her powers to transform a small stone into a pair of silver marked bird. One went into the subway to follow the train and the other flew above. The birds communicated between one another so that Stone could follow one along the roof tops. Once they reached his stop she had already been forced to down the pain pill and was panting from her physical weakness. Her back was killing her...

She sat on the roof of one of the nearby houses with one bird while the other flew to a tree where it could peak into Sameal's various windows and find the girl. It would let her know through the other bird if anything that shouldn't happen...happened. Stone meanwhile lay against the roof, the place where the stone still remained solid instead of dissolving into bone giving her the equal of having two fused vertebra. Even with the pain pill she was pushing herself to far... or rather had by keeping up with the train. She closed her eyes beneath her hood and just panted a moment. She would have to call the only woman she trusted with her secrets more then likely...even if she didn't want to... but only after she was sure the child was safe. There was so many ways a child could be hurt ...

After rummaging about the kitchen and silently cursing is lack of preparedness and need to go grocery shopping, Samael glanced over the half wall that separated the kitchen from the living area. He smiled a little as Beth explored the artifacts and exotic baubles with wide, curious eyes before seating herself. Sighing and turning back to his small, fairly empty kitchen he managed to come up with something that was one of his favorite treats and hoped would appeal to the young girl- flatbread, sweet hummus, a bit of soft white cheese and fresh green grapes. He also grabbed two bottles of spring water from the fridge, determined not to let her touch the bottle of tainted water she had again.

"I'm afraid it's not much, but it is filling." He said as he carried it out to her, balancing the wooden cutting board he was using as a tray on one shoulder as he kneeled to move aside the books that covered the coffee table. Once it was clear enough he set the tray down and set things up so each food could easily be reached by the both. He then placed one of the bottles in front of Beth and gave a smile. "There we are. Go ahead and eat, I'll be right back." He said before going to the far end of the kitchen again and pulling out his cell phone. Beth would still have no issues hearing what the call was, but he found it rude to make a call in front of a guest.

Dialing his work, he left a short message about feeling ill and probably needing a few days off to recover fully. As he hung up, a wave of what felt like familiar energy caught his attention. Glancing up, he though he saw a flash of movement through the partially drawn curtains. Brows furrowed slightly, he returned to the living room and went to the window. After scanning the dark street for a moment, he pulled the curtains closed completely then pulled a colorfully woven cushion from the couch to sit on the floor before the low table, across from Beth. Opening the other bottle of water he asked politely, "Is the food alright?"

Faster than Beth would have expected, Sammael returned with some food. To be completely honest, she wasn't too thrilled with it, though mainly because she had been hoping for something piping hot. She didn't complain, however, instead grabbing a grape before popping it into her mouth. As she ate, her reservations seemed to disappear one by one, her hunger demanding precedence, which was why, by the time Sammael came back from his call, her share of the food was gone, except for the little bit of hummus on her lips that is.

"You didn't have to call off work for me," she said, wiping her mouth with the back of her sleeve before taking a gulp of water. The taste wasn't something she was used to in the least, resulting in her crinkling her nose as she swallowed. "I could've taken care of myself for a few hours." As irritating as it was to be treated like a kid, she still couldn't bring herself to be mad at Sammael. He was just making absolutely certain that she would be okay. It was sweet.

"Yeah! It was delicious!" she exclaimed in response. The food had been divine, even if she hadn't known what the strange dip/spread was. Then the cheese and grapes had provided a fantastic contrast. As they continued to sit there chatting, Beth found her eyes getting heavier and heavier, and, before she knew it, her eyes were closed and she was drifting forward towards the table, her sleeping body turning off for the night. She caught herself when she felt the table rub against her arm though, popping awake abruptly. Despite her childish insistence to herself that she wasn't tired, she found the thought of a warm bed grow more and more tempting.

Sam smiled and shook his head. "I have no doubts that you could, but I would rather make sure you are completely safe before I leave you alone here." He said before plucking a grape from the vine and popping it into his mouth. He smiled again and nodded as she confirmed the fair was good before getting up and getting a napkin for her to wipe her mouth with.

Not pushing the topic of her safety any further at the moment, he allowed her to guide him through their conversation, talking about whatever she chose. It wasn't long before she started to drift off again, though, her eyes slowly drooping more and more. He was about to clear his throat and mention getting some rest when she startled herself awake. Smiling a little, he stood and collected the remains of the late meal and deposited them in the kitchen before leading her upstairs.

"You can use my bed, the linens are fresh."
He said as he opened the door. The room was tidy, and similarly decorated to the rest of the house, but books and an odd scroll or loose sheet of paper littered every surface they could, including the far end of the bed where they were tossed. Walking over to the dresser he pulled out one of his smaller tee shirts and offered it to her while telling her where the bathroom was. Once she was settled and he was sure she needed nothing else, he went to his study to record his "findings" of the evening before returning to the first floor to clean up and finally fall asleep on the couch. His sleep was light and fitful, and he was apt to wake at any strange sound within or near his home.

The early morning sunlight filtered through the window of the room that Beth was borrowing. Despite having been up for a while, she didn't dare to exit the room, afraid that she would stumble upon something she shouldn't, or that she would end up displeasing Sammael. By then, she was starting to believe that nothing ever made the kind man angry, an odd personality that didn't fit anywhere in her scope of experience. Most of the guards at the Camp, whom were horribly underpaid, had been of very, very short tempers. Sneezing at the wrong time could get you a black eye.

While she waited for her new friend to wake up, she practiced with his powers, figuring out what they could be used for. Her ability did grant her perfect control of any ability that she copied, but not the experience that they had. Of course, even practicing with them wouldn't give her the knowledge of when to use it for what in combat. Still, her reflexes had a knack of using her powers to keep her alive, and what was done once could be replicated. That's not to say that she only practiced with his powers, however. She simply spent the most time on them because they were the newest and, therefore, strangest.

Stretching his stiff muscles, Midas surveyed himself in the broken glass pane that served as his mirror. The house he had broken into had housed three individuals, emphasis on had. Still, he had been feeling generous, and so hadn't killed them. Instead, he tossed them out on the street and told them to beat it. Of course, he had never intended on staying in the house for very long. Once he found the girl with powers eerily similar to his own, he would be on his way. The problem was simply finding her. The gang had given him the slip the night prior, so his search would need to start anew. The local bums would more than likely give him a tip if he handed over a few gold coins in return.

He Managed to kill one, and give the other 4 the slip, but he's been on the move sense nightfall, and was now Feeling Extreamly exhausted. All he needed was a Cold drink, somthing to eat, and maybe 15 minute's of sleep.

He decided to go and pawn the Stuff that got turned to gold yestarday, by that asshole/Friend of his that he lost last night. he made some good money, and decided to go a small Diner, to get a bite to eat. Hopefully, he could eat in pace.

Haru yawned and looked around the cafe. He didn't notice to many people around at the moment. They seemed to be preoccupied with there own business, the people who were there. He sighs lightly, and looks back out the window. He was hoping to find something to do today, someone to meet. He smiles a bit as he sees a mother pass by with her child. He remembered his own mother. She had been so beautiful. He sighs lightly, and rests his cheek on his hand. He was as the humans would say 'bored out of his mind'. He was still getting used to the language here. The waitor brought him a glass of orange juice, and he looks at the bright orange liquid. His hand slides over the glass, and it sent a slight chill through his hand. His eyes focused on the liquid in the glass.

His mind had shifted to the thought of his money perdicament. He would need a job..that was what people of this planet did. They worked for others to gain paper and metalic coins, for which they exchanged for food and other goods on this planet. He tilts his head, then looks over at the counter where a help wanted sign stood. He smiles and stands, approaching the counter. The woman behind it looked up at him as he watched her with the coffee machine curiously. "Can I help you?" she asks. He nods "I wish to work here." She looks him over a bit, then turns and gets a small packet of papers. "Fill out this application, and we'll call you when there's an opening." He nods, taking the papers, looking over them.

When the shooting Started, most of the Dinner's Resident's had ducked under the table's. Wade was crouched by his chair. He then looked off into the Distance, thinking he was speaking to someone "Remember kid's. a Smart man Know's when too -"AS he was speaking, a explosion was heard outside. Wade jumped up "Run like a Little BITCH!"he said, running, and breaking threw the dinner window, to the ally.

By eight O'clock, Samael had the kitchen cleaned and a list of things to get at the market. He had started to tidy up the living area when he finally noticed the small waves of energy coming from the room above. Frowning a little, he glanced at the stairs before stacking up the books he had in his hands and wiping the bit of dust from them on his pants. After moving a few more things around and making the piles of books look a bit more presentable, he headed up to his room, the stairs protesting with their usual creaks and moans.

Curious but unsure, he readied a bit of energy in one palm as he rapped the back of the other hand against the door. "Elizabeth?" he called through the worn oak. "Are you alright?"

Brenna was doing yoga at her estate while she talked to Adrianna on her headset. She was checking up on her employee, though she didn't explain why. Adrianna didn't ask either, knowing if Brenna didn't tell her it had to do with 'super' business which she tried to keep Adrianna out of for her own safety. She frowned to herself as she was told Sam had called in sick. He'd never called in sick and as a super he may not even actually be able to. As she thought of the little girl, so frail looking. No, she couldn't just trust he was a good guy....... the question was how to approach. She could sneak in as Stone or she could go in as Brenna his boss pretending concern. He had never really seen her face yet but he would recognize her voice. She would finish her yoga and request Adrianna call Sameal to warn him that Brenna would be coming to his home.

She headed to his house on her motorcycle, the seat designed by her to send electrical impulses into her spine that prevented any pain or damage to her body. She was an expert rider, having ridden before she was stone. She headed for the address that Adrianna gave her, her thoughts swimming. Was this really a good idea? Probably not but with a child super involved what choice did she have? She sighed within her helmet and weaved through traffic easily. She arrived at his house from her estate at the edge of the city with surprising speed. Once she did so she headed parked and headed for the door with her helmet slung over her shoulder before she rang the doorbell.

As she stood there she probably didn't look like the owner and ceo of one of the biggest companies in the world. Her hair was messy from the helmet and she wore simple jeans and a v necked t-shirt under a simple leather jacket that protected her arms and throat, all over a pair of black leather boots. The jacket was still zipped up to her throat, not the most feminine look but she didn't much care. Would he even believe it was her without her showing id?

Having been focused on her practice entirely, the knock on the door surprised Elizabeth enough to break her control on what she was doing and resulted in a minor burn to the bottom of her hands as the ball of energy burst out and dissipated. Despite the stinging sensation in her hands, she was grateful that she hadn't had more time to compress the energy before he knocked. That would have been a lot messier.

Before making her way to the door, she took care to fully erase any remnants of energy, not quite sure how Sammael would take the fact that she had copied his powers. Though she was nervous, she managed, or at least believed she had, to keep it from showing as she opened the door. "Yeah, why?" she replied, wincing a bit at his use of her full name. The thought of correcting him fled when she felt the same mental signature that she had the night prior. "But we might not be soon." In the middle of her sentence, she was dashing over to the window to se if she could get a good look at her.

"That person is back, and definitely a lady," she explained, trying to bend her body into all kinds of weird shapes to be able to see down onto the front porch. "She's close enough that I can tell she's a girl. And she doesn't feel like she wants to hurt us. What should we do?"

It had been a good idea to talk to the beggars after all. With a little bribery and intimidation, they had sang like canaries. So it turned out that the gang had an headquarters downtown. That would be a good place to get some information. That's where he would head then. On the way, a fancy motorcycle caught his eye, and he decided that it would be good to expedite his movement. Or, in other words, he stole the thing and took off. Strangely enough, he obeyed all road laws, figuring that being stopped by the police would be detrimental to his search.

Before too much longer, he arrived at the building. Of course, they weren't very keen on letting him in, so he forced his entry and sought out the leader. It was inevitable that he would run into others, and he did. They tended to open fire before bothering to ask questions, though the looks on their faces when he turned to gold were priceless. It really took him no time at all to get to the leader through such rabble. Oddly enough, the leader of the gang, a man called Ace, asked him what he wanted. When Midas explained that he was looking for the girl with stone powers, he gave him some information. Apparently, rumor had it that she worked at some huge company in the city. Once it was all taken care of, he set off for his next target.

Having just finished tagging her most recent target, Lexi made a beeline to the nearest cafe, her stomach rumbling loud enough to drown out the cars, or so it seemed. She was already envisioning the eggs, fruit, and, above all, the creamy hot chocolate, which certainly didn't help with her stomach at all. So, it was with great anticipation that she set foot in the small building, the bell ringing cheerily. A man was standing just to the side gleaning over some papers, though if it hadn't been for Fury's slightly empathic sense she would have just ignored him. Instead, she kept an eye on him while acting as if she was actually unaware of his existence. She just didn't want him trying anything was all.

Sam frowned again as he felt another, more powerful wave of energy from behind the door, the orb of power in his palm reacting to it. He was about to call out again when floor before the door squeaked and the knob rattled as Elizabeth gripped it. Quickly dissolving and re-absorbing the energy in his palm, he took a step back and put a slight smile on his face as the door was pulled open. However, he was unable to answer the young girl before she took off for the window at the top of the stair in an attempt to see their unexpected visitor. Biting back a sigh he followed her and leaned against the worn wooden frame to catch a glimpse of the stranger.

"Well, the polite thing would be to answer the door." he said after a moment of examining the woman as best he could, bike and all. His slight smile had fallen, and the warmth his fiery gold eyes usually held was gone, replaced with a cold, suspicious gleam. The woman that had watched them from the shadows... Elizabeth seemed sure that the woman was not intending to harm them, and while he was inclined to trust the psychic child's judgement, he was still wary. You never can tell how quickly good intentions will go bad.

"You should stay up here for now." he said, his tone not leaving any room for argument. He then turned on his heel and headed down the narrow stairs, a hand running through his slightly tangled hair in what would appear to be a nervous gesture. Stepping down off the last stair, he passed the door, glancing through the small window. The look of surprise he was planning to feign became real as he recognized the bright blue eyes of the CEO of the company he worked for, but nothing else. His mind reeled for a moment. This leather-sporting, motorcycle-riding woman on his doorstep just couldn't be the reclusive company head... could it?

Shaking his head and hastening his motions he unlocked the door and pulled it open, his eyes scanning her face. "Ms. Kamon?" He asked, still in a bit of disbelief.
