Where we were left off:

When last we saw our young Avatar Korra, she was in the South Pole. Amon had taken her ability to bend earth, fire and water, yet unlocked her air bending. With her new air bending powers, Korra is able to deface Amon infront of his fallowers as Noahtuc (s/p), Tarrlok's water bending brother who share the ability to bend blood.

Amon, who has now lost all of his fallowers, returns for his imprissoned brother later and escapes to the seas via spead boat. We see the two brother last talking on a boat about how they can do anything now that they are reunited. Tarrlok, who's had enough of the hatred his father has planted in both himself and his brother, uses an equalists electro-glove to ignite the speed boat's gas tank and the boat exloads in the middle of the ocean.

Broken, scared and with only one fourth of her natural born abilities, Korra seeks out Katara's healing powers. Alas even the world greatest water healer cannot undo Amon's curse. Korra flee's the home of the now elder Katara on the back of her polar bear-dog Naga. Now alone with only her animal companion, Korra allows herself to grieve and accept that her powers are gone forever.

As the first tear drop falls from the chin of the broken girl, she unwittingly calls out for help. A figure appears beside Korra, whom she believe is Tenzin, and she tells him to go away. The man states to Korra that she had called out to him for help, and when Korra recognizes the voice, she looks up to see Aang smiling down at her. Aang tells Korra that she's finally unlocked her spiritual self and restores all of her bending abilities.

Where our story begins:

With Amon gone, the duties of the Avatar can now begin. There are many benders in Republic City who deserve their bending back and many who truely deserve to lose theirs. When Korra returns to the city, she finds that even though Amon is gone, the people of Republic City are still very much seperated and at war with one another. She finds that the only people activly on the streets are non-benders or benders with thick anklettes on their legs.

Our new avatar soon discovers a group of non-benders, who once fallowed Amon, are inprissoning benders and forcing them into servitude. Korra, who is urged strongly by Tenzin and Lin to fallow the laws of the city, went to Mayor Kakaru to ask why the legal forces have turned a blind eye to the enslavement of the benders. She is told that those with bending skills have been sent by Shizue, a proffit believe to be the god of the people, to serve those without bending abilities. In her absence the mayor had passed a law allowing the enslavement of the benders and imprissonment to those who attempted to flee. Because of this, many with bending powers have decided to hide their gifts in order to escape the threat of being a slave.

Enraged, but finding there is little she can actually do, Korra and the new team avatar must free the benders of Republic City from the twisted new laws of Mayor Kakaru. But will the avatars anchient power be enough to fend off the new age of steam powered machines and ever stricker growing laws. Has the age of benders died now that Mayor Kakaru has ordered the enslavement of benders to please Shizue? And just who is this Shizue?

Bio: Korra is a headstrong rebelious girl from the Southern Water Tribe who's mouth often gets her into trouble. She doesn't take crap from anyone and is always ready for a fight. Being so headstrong comes with the dissadvantage of Korra's inability to connect properly with the spiritual realm. Korra is in love with Mako, how has admitted his love back, but finds it hard to balance the responsibilty of being the Avatar with her romantic life.

Bio: Probending has been his life since he was a kid in Republic City. He practiced water bending, and watched matches to better understand the sport until he was old enough to compete. It came to no surprise when his team, the White Falls Wolfbats, won their first tournament. He became accustomed to a winner's lifestyle. Since then, they continued to win, and Tahno needed to assure every victory at any cost. Ever since Amon took away his bending, he'd been forced to take a second look at his lifestyle. The act humbled him in a way, but he still longs to continue probending.

Bio: Song grew up in the fire nation. Learning how to control and use her bending from a young age. Around the age of ten, she moved to Replublic City for a year and fell in love. But of coarse her family had to return to the fire nation. She graduated from the fire academy and went on to move herself to Replublic city. Upon arriving though, she was met with hostility. She made many stupid decisions, but one of her big mistakes was joining the equalists early on. She hid her bending, as the organization took a turn. She originally believed they were completely about equality for all. She was trained as a chi-blocker, but never completed her training due to her sudden leaving. They had completely turned into a non-bender terrorist group. By the time the Avatar arrived, she was out.

Everything seemed to happen so fast after that point. She had found work in the power plant, but that soon did not matter as the war broke out. Song was imprisoned. She remembered being in Amon's line to be cleansed.. and the rest of that night is a blur. Her bending was gone, and she was given to a middle class man as a slave and pet. Her....owner... well he was her master in chi-block training.

Three months had pasted since the day Avatar Korra left the republic city. Then, she was a broken shell of the woman she once was. With three out of four of her natural bending abilities blocked off by Amon, Korra cursed herself for not being stronger and for not being able to escape Amon when he stole her powers. In the South Pole, the you avatar had spoken to Katara in hopes that the powerful water healer would be able to help her. Unfortunately, not even the most experiance healer could offer her assistance. That same day, after Korra had run away, she had summoned Aang from the spirit world and he was able to release the chi blocks Amon had created inside her body. Once again, the avatar was back on top!

Now Korra and the new Team Avatar, who had stayed in the South Pole for combat and bending training, have returned to Republic City. As the sun rises on the new day, Korra is found standing on the shipping docks of the city. Looking out across the water in solitude, she ponders over the horrible things she's learned since she's returned to the city. Non-benders forcing bender to be their slaves simply because their gifted with bending abilities? The thought twisted her stomach and threatened to make her sick.

"There people..." Korra started speaking to no one but herself as she looked up at the proud statue of Aang in the harbor. "They were all once a united happy city. I wonder if I'll be able to unit them the way you did; maybe I'm not meant to be the kind of leader you were." She hung her head and stood still for a moment before she turned and walked back down the dock and onto the pea-stone roads.

Mako had been staying on Air temple island for a short time now. His brother had settled in nicely, but Mako could not help but to feel slightly uncomfortable. The monks were very spiritual, making him careful to say or do anything that may insult their order. For now he was training in the back. Getting his mind off the conflict in Republic city. It was amazing, the air temple seemed to mask the city. Creating a safe and serene home. He ran a hand threw his hair. Noticing a form looking over the statue of Avatar Aang. Mako could not even begin to imagine the weight she felt on her heart.

Mako began to walk towards her, hearing her voice over the crashing waves. He slowly walked up behind her, wrapping his arms around her and looking over the great statue. A beautiful present from the fire nation.

"It looks much better without that mask on it." He said to her, resting his head on her shoulder.

A clench of tension filled Korra's shoulders for a second but soon subsided into the comfort of the embrass. There was no doubt in her mind of who it was. There was only one person who'd hug her from behind in such a tender manner; not to mention there was a certain temperature that seemed to radiate from him when he was near.

"Mako..." Korra said with a smile as she placed her arms over his and giving them a gentle squeeze. She let her head lean against hers as she continue to look the statue. "I'm glad we're finally rid of Amon," a moment passed before she finished her sentence. "Now we've just got to irradicate the equalists and free the benders."
