Who uses the GIMP? Isn't it the coolest freeware ever?

I used photoshop, but I hear that Gimp is basically the same thing? o:

I guess a difference that I didn't like was the fact that you had to download special gimp brushes instead of photoshop ones.
And there's a lot more photoshop brush makers. xD <3

And, I was wondering if the tablet works with Gimp. o:

I used to use GIMP, now I have Photoshop.. and I don't see a big diffrece between this two programs xD

Yeah, photoshop and gimp are basically the same thing, just gimp is free! And with the price of photoshop thats a big plus to me. It does work with tablets, but I don't think it has pressure sensitivity. I only used a tablet once, and I don't remember that, but then I may not have known how to make it work either... -.-;

I don't use many brushes anyway, so that's not important to me :P

Gimp does have pressure sensitivity, but it has to be toggled on! ;)

I love it! If I had a better computer I'd love it more, it's a great free alternative, I use it mostly for animations.

oh. I hate Gimp. Really. It was so weird to use it..... I won't say exacly why, it was in the time my Photoshop was broken, and I had to use Gimp...

Exept the thing, it was turning off sometimes, without reason, I always got lost in the interface and my tablet sometimes wasn't working in it... without any special reason : )
MAybe that was because it was on Linux, where my Pentagram worked pretty bad, but still, it was in the time of using Gimp. So my mentality connected it with that program : ) : )

So I was veeery glad, when I returned to Photoshop.... Actually, it's a little stupid too, but I think I got used to it so much, that even if I find something better, but also with small negative attitiudes, I will choose staying with Photoshop...

I've never heard of GIMP before hand, but now I reckon I'll download it & try it out. :)

I like gimp but I love my photoshop more. I guess it is because I know how to use photoshop and I dont know how to use gimp that well.

I tried that, and managed to download and install it... And then BOOM!
XDD I couldn't draw as much as a line because I never managed to figure out where the canvas was. 8D

I tried looking for a feature like that for like 20 minutes...<_< Before I uninstalled the application in desperation and went back to my faithful lover openCanvas. xD

Sorry, totally hate that program...i use only MSpaint for pixels and photoshop for everything else

i tried using gimp once
it was by far the ugliest program i have ever seen. yeah, i never got around to opening a new document.
