The Clique books and Gossip Girl.
(not to mention the It Girl books)
Guilty pleasures?
do you love 'em or leave 'em?
I have to admit to reading them... I know they are terrible.
They are the most unbelivable characters who always happen to have "sun bleached hair and glittering green eyes" with loads of money to kill.

Not that I would mind having everything be so perfect, but perfect ain't that
EZ

But even though I hate them, I kinda love them all the same.
You always know what's in store for you.
They are good airplane books, y'know?
Good summer books.
When everything is light and fluffy...
You wouldn't want to read anything too too heavy during the summer, would you?

Forgive me if you would.

So, what are your

Or perhaps I have not let enough time elapse since my last post.

I think I will go for now and browse the other foums and such.

Hopefully by tomorrow someone will have replied. :)

How many Gossip Girl books are there now? I think I stopped at 5 or something. It's like my ultimate guilty pleasure... I've read the first book from Jenny's spinoff, and I didn't like it too much.

I haven't read any. When Gossip Girl first came out (and I saw it in YM Magazine at the time) I thought it'd be pretty cool to read it. However I never got a chance to buy it because I was always broke. Currently I see EVERYONE reading them (well, mainly the preppy girls at my school) so I'm like...

Nah.

I saw the title of one of the Clique books "Best Friends for Never" and I figure...hey I wanna buy that for my best friend : ) (referring to Donna of course) and so I showed it to her, then we were cracking up because we weren't preppy enough like that to buy it and just put it back on the shelf in the wrong spot on purpose.

We're just not like that but it was funny.

I've read and very much enjoyed the Clique series. However, I can't really say it's a guilty pleasure or anything, because it was my job  I'm the children's specialist at a bookstore, so when children and teen books get really popular, or go on special, I read them so I can help people make decisions about them. I honestly thought the Clique series was fantastic. I want more young girls to read them.

Both of them are pretty similar, as u said, money, rich parents not much in it, there are some differences though...noticebly...

The Clique- Group of friends...etc..more childish..and focused then GG

Gossip Girl: One thing that clique doesn't...and that's... I can't mention it, but the book is more for mature people..

In my opinion, I like Gossip Girl, XD
