I recently began reading Alias Grace, and when I started, I learned that several of Atwood's books involve insanity as a main theme.

I love books dealing with mental disorders; I eat them up, so I was wondering, does anybody know which of her other books deal with insanity?
Thanks~

That's a very good question! For some reason my brain is bringing up Shirley Jackson as a parallel. ^^ And "The Yellow Wallpaper."

Let's see...I've read The Handmaid's Tale, Bluebeard's Egg (short stories) and another one...something about a woman eating herself.
In a way they all deal with madness, whether it is the madness of the main character, or madness of those around her. It must be stressful up there in Canada...that's all I've got for now. ^^;;

I had to read The Handmaid's Tale for a Women's Studies course I took in uni. It was an excellent read. Rather chilling, when looking at it from the perspective of women's rights. I didn't know she writes about insanity a lot. O.o; I'd never read any of her other books.
