What was the most annoying or disturbing anime you have seen? My most disturbing would have to be Perfect Blue. The most annoying anime series for me personally would have to be Dragon Ball Z. :)

The most annoying one would definitely be Excel Saga. So freakin dull.

The most disturbing one would have to be the one about this cat; I can't remember the name, but my friend bought it. He went on adventures, and it was completely surreal.

I think Bobobobobobobo (sp?) was pretty freaking creepy.

I hate Naruto, too. Its ruined the name of ninja. I like..want to kill it and all the little Narutards with their fake Kunai.

Every time I mention Flame of Recca and the Hokage Ninja Clan, some stupid little kid comes up and is like "OMG NARU-NARU, RIGHT?!!11"

And I'm just like, "No, Flame of Recca, you stupid little n00b."

Lol, you thought excel saga was dull? I never finished it, even tho I found 2 abandoned dvds of it at a con and took em home lol. Mostly I couldn't get thru it because its mostly nonsense tho funny at times. Also my ex couldn't shut up about how "brilliant" it was... :roll:

Kinda curious about the cat anime you speak of....if you were talking about a hamster I'd have to ask if it was Hamtaro lol

I read the first three books of Naruto, it was just-childish. And I don't know..it seemed silly. This is odd coming from a Sailor Moon fan (of the dubbed version too!)

But the way they talk ansd talk and talk in the middle of a battle scene. It was ridiculous.

And the obsession! I went to a Con, and over half the con popuation was narutards, narutards, naruto!

Flame of Recca isn't too big. I've got four episodes on DVD and twelve of the books. The art in the first two books is not very charming, or lovely. It gets much better by book three, kinda like fruits basket.

The most disturbing was when my friend thought it was funny to not tell us what anime he was putting in...and it was hentai ;O; I was so scared for life. And we didn't even finish it :lol:


The most annoyin' was Poemi Poeny summetin' It was like makin' fun of every anime...but it was so crazy it was annoying xDDDD

I never read the books for Naruto...I started with the anime and I HATED the first 5 or so episodes, it seemed very childish but it was the type of series that grew on ya...it has a rough start but it gets very good later on. I never cosplay as the "in" anime...I just always do whatever ones I want/feel like doing at the moment.

Naruto probably is the most annoying thing I've seen, but anything and everything by CLAMP ranks up there, too. Their crap just grates on me.

As for most disturbing... Hrm. I honestly don't know. 4chan has desensitized me to things that shock and disturb, so even the weirdest hentai one could imagine just makes me go "eh."

Akira probably takes the cake, though. Awesome movie, but some of those scenes were traumatizing to my then-virgin mind. It doesn't bother me in the least these days, but way back then it sure as hell did.

Blood+ would qualify as both for me.
I watched it after Trinity Blood ended; that entire episode made me die a little inside, no offense.

Could the Hamster one be Ebichu the Housekeeping Hamster? The one that's light porn on crack? That was a hilarious show, in my opinion. xD

Ghost in the Shell 2 <_<....

It was annoying. I didn't like the anime/movie. C_C It's mainly for guys who love to watch girls in skimpy dresses *even though the female character is a robot, she's still stereotypical of its body type and lack of clothes~*

Dragon Head is probably the most disturbing i've gotten around to. i guess that proves how much of a wimp i really am. i probably wouldn't have even picked it up, but i read a very misleading review and i have a bad habit of not putting something down till i finish it.

Wolf rains O.o I was so bored watching that... and the ending is so idiot >.<

DBZ is excellent. I still love it to this day.

Most horrible, creepy anime to me is Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge. I enjoyed the second half of the first episode, and then it went downhill from there.

I'm not sure what I would say as most disturbing. I was more or less desensitized by the time I got into anime. I would say that some of the more serious plot points of Nadesico got to me (the way people will rationalize simple things as a means for war, murdering the innocent and earnest).

Most annoying generally is any Flavor of the Month. They may have their merit, but when touted as the only anime ever made OMG [Insert main characters with a flirty will-they-won't-they relationship here] 4 LIFFFEEEEEEEEEEE and such gets so old (I actually got sick yesterday when I saw that my work carried 20 ... 20 volumes of the Inu Yasha Ani-Manga! What the hell? Watch the anime or read the manga, but what possible use is there for Ani-manga? I implore you!). I think the worst of the bunch was FLCL. It was short, and so blatant in its intention (everything was like OH MY GOD! SYMBOLISM! AREN'T WE SO DEEP! GET IT? THE GUITAR IS LIKE HIS SEXUALITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and everyone felt so unique for liking it that it drove me away. It still annoys me, although I do like the character design and Lupin references.

Oh and Pokemon nowadays. The Pokemon aren't even nifty anymore, just weird and all the characters suck except Brock. And May is no replacement for Misty; she doesn't even have a good rapport with the other characters. Just let it all die for a few years and retool the whole series and start fresh. There not even a dead horse to beat anymore, you've just whittled it all away.

the new pokemon series also annoys me. i can't say the original was really high quality or anything, but it was fun and interesting. the new one seems like it only runs because someone can make money off of it, even if it's not generally well liked. but some of us are probably way old-school anyways. i was into pokemon a decade ago, and now my little sister is into it. at first it seemed like it hadn't changed much - there was the games, the cards, and the tv show. but once i looked at it more, i realized how much it had changed. from pokemon red to pokemon ranger, the differences are amazing. but at least the games have improved. the tv show is the one that's really falling behind...

I know what you guys mean with the Pokemon...I watched the first couple seasons and then it got popular with the 8 year olds and just went downhill from there! I can't bother trying to watch it now.

well it's a tie on the annoyence scal for me between Bo-Bo-Bo Bo Bo-Bo-Bo and Fooly Cooly. I can't believe I watched the whole entire FC marathon, I had no Idea what was geoing on except for the fact the the pink haired chick ran peole over with her scooter.

Lol yeah, me too! Someone mentioned earlier that the guitar was symbolism for his sexuality....first I heard of that. The entire 6 episodes were like......what? Plus, I didn't really like the animation.

Now that brings me to another point.....shows you guys thought were really well animated. I'll start the ball rolling by saying that Aquarian Age...has some really REALLY beautiful animation going on. Not in all scenes but at times you can really see the extra effort and time put into it.
