In both my stories, the main characters are lesbians XD lol. I'd love to read your story on Nano, Do you have a user name yet? (I don't, that site is soooooo slow.)

I do, and the site isn't nearly as slow as when they first brought the servers back up. But that happens every year so yeah :p

And it's MelonyLouise there too ^_^;

I've been contemplating incorporating a suitcase into my costume so I can take my computer with me to where I'll be watching movies for the night so I can jam myself into a corner and write, write, write.

First day today!

I'm not offically participating in this, but I will try. I don't have any hopes of hitting 50,000 by the end of this month; it takes me a week just to write 3000 words!

...but I will try. Has anyone else hit 50,000 words in NaNoWriMo before?

Good luck to everyone participating! ^^

Mage: I'm officially participating, and my current word count is 818... It'd probably take me the same amount of time to write 3000 words as well, considering how long i get writers block and how often. I think it's neat to just try your best. I'm glad your participating, even if not officially. ^^

...I'm in it mostly for the encouragement xD

Yay for NaNo!

I still have no idea what I'm going to write about. <manic smile>
It's really too bad that I have four intense papers due in school this month.

1244 words! Woo!

In order to hit the 50,000 word mark, I believe that you need to write 1,666 words per day. You'll always write a little more or a little less depending on whether or not your muse likes you that morning, but always aim for at least that amount. You'd be surprised how easy it is to just hit a goal if you put your mind to it. Focus on getting the words out there, then save the editing process for December or something.

Actually, I find that my best way of getting to my goal is writing until I get writers block, then checking my word count out of curiousity. I usually can beat my goal by then ^_^

For example, my goal yesturday was 1000. At the end of the night, to my surprise, I had 1277 =D

Wow, I need some ideas to get over writer's block now. I always know what major events would happen, but I have no idea how to connect them. =\ Planning issues.

I'm jealoused of my friend, she's already on 5,000 words. xD

Mage: you can do it! And if you need help with writer's block, there's a dare thread in ... reaching 50,000, I think. See if you find something that sparks.

Knock on wood, I'm feeling pretty confident at the moment. End of day two, and I'm at 4,448 words (when my day two goal was 3400). How's everybody else doing? *sends positive energy to all*

I'm just past the 3000 mark because I lost over 1000 words last night... But I'll live. I've made it past 3000 again, so I'm confident I can do well. ^^

I'm involved in Nanowrimo!!!!!!

I don't think I'm doing very well though... I started on the fourth and I've only just reached the 15,000 mark... I doubt I'll make it all the way thanks to school and everything. But I shall try!

Has anyone else 'round here done National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) before? It's a challenge to write 50,000 words of fiction in the month of November, for those who haven't heard of it.

And am I the only one who's already started outlining for this year's NaNo? I'm a bit obsessed. This'll be my 5th NaNo in a row and I'm quite excited.

There's actually a bunch of folks who do this. I'll go ahead and merge you into their thread. :)
