I remember hearing about how a bunch of people named their daughters Daenarys (sp?) after Game of Thrones xD Gotta love these unique names lol.

Honestly though, Daenerys is a pretty name. The kids I feel really sorry for are all the boys that got named after Theon....

Yes. There were. Apparently these parents either didn't wait to see if that character would turn out to be a jackass, or were astoundingly dense. Or both.

I'm guessing they didn't wait and just named their kids soon after the character appeared. Or didn't pay enough attention to said character. xD

Which is one of the many reasons you should either wait till the character's entire arc is done to name your kid after them, or just not do it in the first place X'P

Yeah, always wait before naming someone after a character. Or just name them after a name that's already been established to be good. xDD

Yeah. And for the love of god, don't add unneeded y's and e's and hyphenations and apostraphes (or gods forbid, random special characters) and weirdo spellings...it's a name in real life, not a username on the Internet. You don't need to make it 100% unique.

Ugh yes, all these 'unique' names just makes it harder for people to remember you IMO. >__>;

Hahaha yeah xD But then again if the Asian people and other nationality people don't give themselves an Anglicized name then there'd be even more hard to memorize names. :P

I have very little problem pronouncing most Asian names, likely because I read so much manga and watch so much anime X'D

But wouldn't most manga/anime only have Japanese names in them? I have no idea how to pronounce Korean names and the such. Dx

Yeah, mostly...though I've run across a few that were done by Korean artist/writers, and most of those seem to have a lot of Korean names too soooo.....

Everyone in the states back when I lived there could not pronounce my surname correctly so I've given up on trying to correct them. xD

I try to be one of those people who would ask how to pronounce it first X'D. Unlike those--AGAIN, THEY'RE ALWAYS WHITE WTF--whiete people who can't pronounce any non-European (and some actual European) names correctly, even when they've been shown the actual pronounciation. Or the ones who legit tell the person that they're prononcing their own damn name wrong. Ohhh, I've got stories from college about those idiots.....

I've tried correcting them, but it's like their minds just refuse to compute even though it's literally one syllable. -sigh-

And the subset of the previous set; the people who feel the need to correct your name's spelling. With their spelling. Their wrong spelling. The spelling that is not on your birth certificate.

I'm trying to make an avatar using the colors of the aromantic flag. Kinda succeeded with the asexual flag, but due to my own color preference I have a dearth of green and yellow items X'D

Yeah, I kinda look back on my color preferences all those years ago and found out that I'm lacking in many colors. >_>; All I get are the really generic ones like black, white/silver, red, and blue.

Red, black, purple, metallic colors...and fairly recently I've beed adding blues. Mostly dark blues...not a ton of green and yellow items
