Blaire

Blaire sighed heavily, she had been tracking Ken for a week now and it was positively exhausting. But, she scolded herself for being annoyed, It will all be worth it in the end when you are able to keep an eye on him. She gently dug through her bag for a sealed jar of water that she knew would be their, it was always there. She also dug out a small bowl. Setting to work she opened the jar of water and dumped it into the small flat bowl that she then set in her lap.

She began to mutter to herself as she gazed into the water, “show me, come on” she muttered out loud though she knew no one was listening. It was dark, water, a bath perhaps, Liore. The mirror showed both Sophie in the room while Liore bathes, how odd. She never expected the two of them. She shrugged, it was really none of her concern, where was Ken in all this. She heaved another heavy sigh an dumped the water back into the jar and put everything away. Another failed attempt at finding him. Water was everywhere and yet she once again failed, was he avoiding her? Did he know she would try and find him?

That night she transported herself to close to the point where she had seen Liore in the mirror. She tried to sleep but her sleep was broken and fitful. She tossed and turned the entire night through, waiting, wondering, where could her beloved Ken be and was he going to let his anger at his past take over his future. That night she dreamed that Ken was a puppet being controlled by a faceless puppet master and it caused her to wake up in a cold sweat. The sun was on her face when she woke up. Looking around her and realizing it was only a dream only made her realize she needed to work faster.

She once again pulled out her jar of water and bowl. She concentrated on it like she never had before, time was running out and she needed to hurry. With the dream fresh in her head as a mode of inspirational drive she concentrated on every puddle, even small droplets of water. In the end she got lucky, she could not see them from the small lake near by but she could hear them. It was a faint sound, almost fuzzy. Sounds where still hard for her, but the faint sound in the water could not be mistaken for anyone but her beloved Ken.

She put away her little hand water mirror and then searched the area for a more substantial body of water to transport through. It didn’t take her long to find a puddle from a not long past rainstorm, not the ideal, she thought, but it will work. In a matter of moments she found herself in a small wood not far from where the group was. She snuck up quietly, climbing a nearby tree to look down upon the group. Sophie had just handed the group some sort of mechanical machine for the ear, a communicative device perhaps?

From her perch in the tree branch she could hardly make out what they where saying, but shortly after sophie left Liore and Ken behind.

Ken took the devices from her outstretched hands and gave one to Liore. Mimicking Sophronia's movements, he extracted the earbud from the device and swiftly attached them to his ear. As he pulled his hair back over his ear, the earbud was concealed, save for the wire that attached it to the device. It was a complex piece of machinery, and he was impressed that Sophy managed to get it done. After all, his request had been a half-hearted one in the beginning, almost wishful thinking.

As Ken fine-tuned his device, he heard Sophy leave in the direction of the manor and whispered a quick, "Be careful," into her connection. When he was satisfied with how the machine worked, he turned towards Liore and realized he was still waiting for an answer. Sighing, he combed his fingers through his hair, a habit that he's picked up over the years whenever he was feeling particularly frustrated. Ken wondered whether he should tell Liore the truth. To be honest, Ken held everyone at an arm's distance. He sucked in a deep breath as he looked up towards the sky, choosing his words carefully. Some ravens flew by cawing, as if to reinforce the feelings he felt bubbling inside.

"We're looking for a mirror," he said finally, staring into Liore's eyes as if daring him to laugh. "It's not recon, at least not for me. I'm here for revenge." His lips were strained in a tight line across his face. There, he had said it. He wasn't here for fun and games. No, Ken was here to make amends for all the wrongs that this town and precious RavenWood manor had inflicted on him. They were the reason why he had turned into this hollow shell of a person, unable to trust anyone and constantly hungering for revenge. For justice.

Liore paused hearing the answer, he was certain to most people it would sound silly and yes they would laugh. For him however, oddly it sounded very possible and sane. He had no idea why the idea of hunting down some mirror sounded perfectly ok with him, but he was not going to question further. He gives a nod, turning away from Ken and moving to the edge of the forest he then had an idea, pausing to look at the wolf. Looking ito its eyes he knelt leaning into it. He lightly whispers something to it.

The wolf gave a slight bark, and headed off down towards the manor. Wolves were natural around the woods and manor, so it would not attract attention to itself. It moved around to the front of the house which was not visible from the woods, and therefor he guessed not very visible to Sophie up in the trees. It was always good to have an extra pair of eyes. He stands and looks back at Ken ready to get started "shall we?"

Hataru gave a few last minute orders to Reina after reasuring her that he was fine. He began to head back up to his room changing into the clothes he would wear for that night. He then moves to the west wing, unlocking the doors to go up to the lab. There he stayed for the most of the day preparing. He looked at the mirror that held a deep connection to him and his power. He had to make sure it was placed somewhere secret, so he places it in the safe hidden behind the old portrait of the master that still hung in the lab.

The old master was a cold dark man. His black eyes in the portrait staired back at Hataru and seemed to dare him to disobey. Hataru glared at the painting lightly, and turned away. Even when he did, it felt like the eyes were following his every move. He locked the door to the west wing moving down to the main entry way and rang a loud bell to call the others to him. He was ready to choose who he was taking with him, for the sun was setting, and the full moon was ready to rise.

Fang spent his day as usual, taking care of the house, and the plants as well. That night was always on his mind as he worked. Who would the master take with him? Would he be mad if Fang asked to stay home so he could look after the manor? The night looked like it was going to be quite the chiller as well, and he did not want to get caught out in that. He would most likely spend most of it if he did stay, patrolling and in the greenhouse to stay warm. He sighs lightly, and looks out the window as a white wolf goes circling past. He saw it glance at him before laying down near the doors.

Some of the other experiments put out food for the animals, so he thought nothing of it. He turns away going up to his room to change. A nice hot shower was deffenitly in order, and it felt amazing. He placed on a black suit, he was partial to more formal clothes in dark colors, and brushed his hair. Soon enough he herd the bell summoning them, and proceeded to move down the stairs into the entry way where Hataru waited. He looked serious and a bit trouble, Fang would remember to go and talk with him later on after the nights events were done.

Marionette had spent the day doing little things around the house, not bothering anyone and no one bothering her. She had always had a way about her that was quiet, unnoticeable, although she did like to watch over the other experiments. It wasn't like she didn't trust them, she was curious, having no memory of being alive it had always made her curious as to what it was like to be living. She could see that fang had, as usual spent most of the day cleaning. Some of the experiments spent time in their rooms while others socialized amongst themselves.

When she got bored of watching the others at their various haunts around the building she went up to the balcony for a while to watch out towards the town. There was always a sort of haunted feeling about watching RavenWood from the balcony, or even visiting the town, for she had been there in the past with master. Almost like a memory that was there but wasn't quite there. It brought a sadness that she could all but suppress. She had on two occasions thought briefly of escape, but then she thought about Master without his Marionette to take care of him and she would feel worse. Yes the thought of leaving Master was worse then the thought that some memory was taken from her. Afterward she would feel better and go back to her haunts around the mannor.

When she heard the bell she hopped down from the rail where she had been sitting and made her way towards where Master had summoned them. She wondered if she would get the chance to leave the manor that night or if he would take some of the other experiments with him. She thought to herself, whatever his choices I will do my best at the other.

Jayden

Jayden yawned as he woke, slowly getting off the bed, pulling on a black pair of pants over his nude form before standing and shrugging on a cream colored button up shirt. He'd been at the town for a while now, maybe a week, with the intention for scouting out possible supporters and getting the daily habits of people and even the Manor itself. Running his fingers through his red locks in a rough brushing, he tied the locks in a low ponytail then pulled on his black jacket. Just before exiting the room of the hotel, he put on his shoes, followed by his black cowboy hat. Waving at the inn keeper, he exited the building, inhaling the clean crisp morning air.

Making his way through the waking town, he waved and greeted those that were already awake as he made his way out to the woods. If nothing else he might still be able to catch up with Ken before he struck out. Honestly, Jayden didn't know why Ken had sent him out here in the first place, kid should have known that he'd want to go barging in to save his sister. If she could even be saved. Shaking such depressing thoughts from his head, he pulled out a pack of cigarettes, popping out what looked to be the last stick. He sighed, he wanted to go back and get more, but he needed to keep going. Crumpling the paper package, he let the bundle fall to the ground, where with a little encouragement from his earth powers, the ground swallowed it up to be used as fertilizer.

Passing the last clump of houses, he grinned slyly as he managed to find Ken and Liore just at the edge of the forest. "So the li'le lass is already off scoutin?" He questioned as he pulled out a lighter, setting the tip of the cigarette on fire. Inhaling deeply, he exhaled the warm smoke into the air as he studied the two carefully. Waiting, watching for the next step. If any of the townsfolk looked over, one would think he was just questioning the intentions of the newcomers.

Arcis

Green eyes snapped open, a caged scream bubbling in her throat. She dreamed again. It was frustrating, waking from dreams that made no sense to her. Sitting up, Arcis could see the sun trying to peek through her curtain. Yawning, she rubbed at her eyes, frowning more at the sticky tracks of tears she could feel on her cheeks. Knowing there was no point in more sleep, the dreams were bound to plague her again but it was already morning anyway.

Climbing off her bed, she moved to her dresser to grab some clothes before moving to her bathroom for a shower, stripping from her nightgown. Taking little more than 15 minutes to finish up with her shower, she stepped out and scrubbed her body with the towel, drying away the wetness and soaking up what water she could from her hair. Pulling on her underthings first, she then pulled on a pair of darkwash flare jeans, slipping a black belt around her waist and letting it rest crooked on her round hips. Running a brush through her hair, pulling more droplets of water from the brown locks, she debated on leaving it down or putting it up as she pulled on a white halter style button up top, her shoulders bare except where the collar wrapped around her neck.

Finished dressing, she stepped from her room while pulling on a pair of black ballet flats, she debated going to breakfast with everyone else in the dining hall or doing some exploring. She knew where the dining hall and kitchen was, and her room. That had been all she was shown when she first came here. Making up her mind, blank green eyes tooke in the scenery as she walked through the halls to the kitchen, pausing only to grab an apple and a piece of toast. Munching on the toast first, she made her way back into the halls. Making her way back to toward her room, she decided instead to head upstairs. Curiousity getting the better of her as she ascended the stairs and entered the first room she came to. Not bothering to close the door, she moved further inside and over to where she figured the windows were. Pushing open the curtains, she smiled faintly at the lovely view into the forest. It was calming for her, and it was a luxury she enjoyed very much as she leaned against the windows just staring outside.

Gemini woke up early and showered, getting herself ready for the day.she knew master would be choosing today, and she wanted to be ready.Gemini liked going into town, even though master didn't let her hurt people.soon after she was dressed, she heard the bell that summoned them all to master.her ear twitched and she bounded out of her room and towards the source of the sound.maybe she and Marionette would both get to go.maybe Fang would go, too.but probably not, because Fang liked to stay and take care of the mansion.but Gemini still wanted to see Fang.it's too bad Mari and Fang don't get along.I want to be with both.mii~ she thought as she skidded to a stop in front of master."I'm here, Master! Sophy had brought up her journal with her to the top of the mansion, nothing was going on yet and she had a feeling that nothing would be going on for a little while. Looking through her telescope she saw one of the others from the hotel. She smiled, it seems that Ken's plan was getting itself together and things were going smoothly. She did another check through and evenly did her best to quietly walk around the roof top, checking all sides of the manor. No one was outside yet, and it seemed the greenhouse was empty. She bit her bottom lip and sat back down to where she had some stuff for camping out up there.

The brunette reached in her pocket and pulled out a small baggy of crackers and a canteen. She didn't remember whens he put the canteen in her stuffed pocket but she definitely did it before they went up to the manor last night. Sophy stretched and then ate a cracker and began to write in her journal. She knew this was dangerous, but not exactly how dangerous. The girl looked down at the area where she had last seen Ken and the others, pausing before writing some more. This wasn't time for her to talk, that could give them away to those who had windows open on the top floor.

That gave her an idea, she leaned over the edge and refused to look below the window, and saw nothing. No one in this window, so she looked at the next then swung back up since the blood was rushing to her head too fast for her liking. Suddenly Sophy could hear a bell sound coming from an open window, her brows furrowing she looked to see where the open window was. It was a floor down and four windows to the right of her.

"There was a bell," she whispered into her mechanism. She went back to quickly jotting her entry down before closing it and looking through her telescope at the perimeter of the place.

Blaire leaned forward on her perched branch trying to hear what the two of them where talking about. Liore had posed a question to Ken, something Blaire had, in fact, fully expected that Ken would deny the answer to. When he did answer the question she very nearly fell out of the tree and grabbed the trunk for support. Well that was close, she thought to herself, but she listened as Ken answered the question posed before him. She could see the strain on his face and could tell that he was fighting not to answer the question. Blaire let out a small, barely audible sigh.

“We are looking for a mirror” he had said, a thought that sent her mind running frantically to figure out what a mirror could possibly have to do with any of this. “Its not recon, at least not for me. For me its about revenge” the words barely left his mouth when a string of curse words left her mouth. She had known this had something to do with his past, the past he had always refused to talk to, the one she had stopped asking about such a long time ago. Now she briefly wondered in her mind two things, the first was weather she should have pushed a little further to learn the truth of his past. She had not wanted to know all those years, whatever it was that had hurt him so bad was in the past and she was not going to be able to solve that problem. The second thing that ran through her head was to wonder if this was in fact a suicide mission.

She had heard the rumors about ravenwood. Anyone within a thousand miles knew the stories of ravenwood. About the dark shadow of an heir that no one had ever seen. She cursed under her breath some more, seriously wishing she had been able to stop him from leaving. Well, she thought to herself, at least we’ll find out if the rumors are true.

Reina simply nodded at the masters words, and left him. Making no noise, she wandered, using her air to locate the other experiments. The experiment thought about the Masters orders as she moved. Her head suddenly jerking as she heard him ring the bell. Quick movements throughout the mansion. Every experiment was rushing for the bell. Reina followed suit. She knew she wouldn't go. The silent experiment wasn't suited to travel very well. But her abilities of the air made a great security system for the manor. As she entered the room, she noticed only Master and Gemini had arrived. Reina acknowledged Gemini with a gentle smile and soft nod.

Ken shook his head slightly at Liore's question. Liore hadn't run away at the truth, that was a relief. His shoulders relaxed ever so slightly and he looked once more at the manor with a renewed ambition.

"Not yet," Ken said as he watched the wolf trot slowly towards the ivy-covered manor that was RavenWood. "We're still missing someone."

A sudden change in the wind alerted Ken to a newcomer in the woods. He whipped around in the direction of the intrusion and tensed, ready for battle. Had they found them already? Was it already over before it even began?

"So the li'le lass is already off scoutin?" asked a familiar voice. Ken smiled as he recognized Jayden's drawl but deigned to answer as he fanned the smoke from his face.

"Liore, have you met Jayden?" he asked as he featured towards the newcomer's direction. "He's quite a character." Ken lobbed Jayden the last communication device, which he had taken care to wrap up in a piece of black satin cloth. "Present to you from the 'li'le lass.'"

Static entered his left ear and he paused, concentrating on the earbud. "There was a bell," Sophy's voice updated before she cut out. "So it has," Ken muttered as he heard the faint vibrations echo into the woods. Ken pulled the device from his pocket and contacted Sophronia: "Keep on eye on them, let me know what happens. And whatever else, don't get caught. Over." This was the hardest part, the waiting.

"How's the town?" he asked Jayden as a sudden wind whipped through the woods. "People nice?" A slight edge in his voice colored his last words.

Someone new? She thought to herself, it wasn’t someone that she had recognized. How much of this whole thing had she kept herself apart from? Had it been wise to distance herself from, well, all of this. At the time she hadn’t wanted to know, now she wasn’t so sure. The smoke from the man was filling the clearing and certainly making her want to cough. She came to hold her breath instead.

When the rough wind blew through the clearing Blaire heard a sharp crack and muttered something to herself along the lines of “Shit” before grabbing onto a higher branch just as the one she was standing on landed on the ground with a loud thud. Now she was, even admitting to herself, in a bit of a bind. She hung from the branch in her hands trying desperately to get enough of a foot hold to climb up it. However at the moment a slew of cuss words kept leaving her mouth as she failed…desperately.

A crack resonated through the air and for the second time in a very short time span, Ken tensed. He was on edge today, that was certain. The noise had come from somewhere close. If he had to guess, there was someone or something less than a mile from him.

"It seems we have company," Ken said as his lips curved into a smile. Running his fingers through his hair, he could only imagine the source of the noise to be an enemy. If it was an innocent townsperson, Ken would let him or her leave, after a stern interrogation of course. And if it was an inhabitant of the manor, well, the poor creature would be outnumbered three to one.

"Let's pay our new friend a visit," Ken said as he strode deeper into the woods to to the source of the noise. He took long, silent strides, his boots barely making a noise against the soft dirt path. He eyes flitted around his field of vision as his sixth sense was searching the premises for signs of unusual life.

Turns out he didn't need his sixth sense. A slew of curse words alerted him to the dangling girl hanging onto a branch not far from him. He spotted the broken branch on the ground and instantly realized what must have happened. As he moved closer to the dangling girl, a shock of familiarity ran through him as he recognized the voice and cutting choice of words.

"Blaire?" Ken called out, struggling to keep his laughter under control. "How's it hanging up there?"

Hataru looked at the experiments in front of him. All were present except for Arcis. He sighs lightly she was probrably off in her own world at the moment, and it wasn't to good of an idea to take her with him at the moment anyways so she was fine for now. He looked at the others though and the choice was obvious. "Fang, you and Reina will stay here and watch over Arcis and the manor I have faith you will not let anything in or out. That means that Gemini and Marionette will be coming with me tonight." He looked them over "we can not afford to make mistakes, so see to it that we don't." He knew he could be a bit harsh at times, but the experiments knew that he was not trying to be mean and that he cared for them. Without a word he pulled the hood of his cloak over his head and stepped out the front door begining his way towards the town.

Fang herd the orders given, and he let out a breath. So he and Reina were to stay and look after miss Arcis and the manor. He pauses, come to think of it, where had miss Arcis wandered off to this time. He turned to the stairs, and slowly began his acent up them. Noticing the master's door open, he entered the room to see her watching out the window. "You should not be up here, this is the master's private chambers" he says crossing the room over to her. He sighed lightly, new experiments could be quite a hassal at times and looking after them was more like babysitting if you asked Fang. He watched her as he waited for a response.

Liore looked at Jayden, then over to Blaire as Ken addressed them. He sighs lightly wondering when the show would get on the rhoad, before hearing a slight howl from over towards the manor. "Their leaving.." he says slowly, and knew soon enough Sophie would confirm his words that the heir was leaving to head towards the town. He sighed lightly, as his muscles lightly tensed. It was almost time to go now, and he was ready. He smiled lightly, and stands from where he had been kneeling looking over at the others waiting on them now. He hoped that all would go well, they could not afford mistakes tonight, if something went wrong it would be bad. They had one chance at this so they had to do it right, and he would deffinetly make sure that they did just that.

Cheshire watched the group below preparing to engage the manor. He chuckled lightly under his breath, resting his head on one of his paws. Who to have fun with first? He should warn the heir, but at the same time getting to know these new players to his little game was such an enticing thought. His tail swayed in the night air as he pondered it before hearing the wolf howl. "Oh my, seems it is time to let the games begin" he turned his body so he dropped hard from the branch landing crouched in the bushes. He stood in the darkness brushing himself off as he waited for someone to make a move.

Blaire heard Ken standing beneath her and of all things laughing, the nerve of him. Here she was clinging to a tree branch for dear life while Ken stood beneath her laughing. Not the most graceful entrance she was hoping for, that was for certain. But, she thought to herself, at least he was laughing so it was definitely a plus. She grumbled a bit and made a few more violent attempts to hoist herself back up on the tree branch, “I am so gonna get you for that when I come down from here” she said with a playful sort of growl.

With one hand still clinging to the branch she grabbed her bag that was still hanging to a nearby branch with the other and tossed it to the ground before letting herself fall to the ground with a slightly less awkward flair. There was a gentle thud as her feet landed on the ground. She stood from her crouched position and then straightened out her clothing before looking at the group of them. She walked over to Ken and punched him hard enough to be felt, but not hard enough to hurt, "that's for laughing at me Jerk"

She heard the howl in the background followed shortly by Liore’s comment about them leaving. She didn’t know what the plan was or who exactly they would be attacking but she did know she was coming and so she turned to Ken, “I’m coming with you” she said in a stubborn sort of very Blaire like way. She held up her hand to silence whatever protests he may have had coming her way, “I don’t care what you have to say, in all of this I’ve been tracking down your ass for the past week and I AM coming with you. With or without your permission”

She hoisted her bag onto her back and started in the way towards town, turning briefly back to the group she said, “Well are you coming or not?”

Marionette smiled when the master claimed that she and Gemini would be going to town with him. It had been quite some time since they had been to town and it certainly would be nice to get out of the manor for a little bit even if it was on serious business. He had looked at the two of them in a quite serious manner that may have to some of the newer experiments seemed harsh and said, "we can not afford to make mistakes, so see to it that we don't." but Marionette new better. Master was really only being kind.

“Yes, Master” she had said in her quiet Mechanical way. She already had on a set of warmer clothing that suited the cool night and followed Master out of the manor and into the cool night. A howl could be heard nearby and she instinctively looked up at the moon. Something didn’t feel quite right to her. The restless manner of everyone in the manor, the howl of a wolf just as they where leaving. She wondered what tonight was going to bring them. She could feel a prickle down her spine, "I think people are watching us" she said and put up her guard.

She was still looking through her telescope when she saw a movement from below. The door was opening, "Dey're leaving." She grinned, swooping everything into her various pockets she began to shimmy down the side away from the door. It took her a good while but she made it down safely and not looking too disheveled. She fixed the placement of the goggles on her head and smiled. The brunette ran into the woods and weaved her way towards the small group. She saw Blaire punch Ken's arm, when she heard what she said she couldn't help but to smile.

The girl panted and leaned against a tree. "I came down to join ya, look, dey're comin' this way." The teen pointed at the path nearby. She stood next to Jayden now that she had caught her breath and beamed at everyone. "When we goin'?" The girl was practically like a rabbit! Ready to go anywhere. She pulled out the rag and oiled first one gun then the other. 'Let's hope dings go well. I'm excited!' "Ya know, I never thought I'd do this!" She was ready to start babbling up a storm.

Gemini's face lit up as Master announced that she and Mari would be going into town with him.she glanced back at Fang as he left the room, feeling the smallest pang of disappointment, but followed after her twin anyway.her ears perked at the sound of a howl.she couldn't speak to animals, but she understood them better than a human could.her tail lashed behind her and her wings rustled."Mari is right, Master.mii~ that wolf was talking to someone, and not another wolf.I don't think I could call it to me like I could with other animals, mii~. Should I call some friends to scout the forest, master?" She asked.of course, Gemini's 'friends' were the animals of the town and the surrounding area.she got along better with animals than she did with humans.

((Sorry 'bout the absence))
Letting the cigarette balance between his lips delicately, Jayden caught the cloth covered item in one hand as he tipped his hat to Liore. "'Lo there buddy." He greeted jovially as he placed the hat perfectly on his head, then distracting himself by unwrapping the item and placing the earbud in his ear. "The townspeople are nice enough. Really don't want no trouble. While they seem to fear the Manor's inhabitants, at the same time they give a grudging respect. The heir leaves them alone, pays his dues, while rumors circulate that he uses his experiments to protect the town." Jayden responded, exhaling the smoke to the side as he spoke, one hand coming up to remove the stick from his lips.

Flicking ash off the end, the red head tensed as he heard the crack followed by a thud. Sighing, he couldn't keep the grin from his face as he moved closer to see a female hanging from a limb of a tree, cussing up a storm as she struggled to try and swing up the limb. Shaking his head, he kneeled down. Replacing the cigarette between his lips he flattened his palms on the ground. "If ya can hang on a few seconds more I can get 'cha down." He commented, humor tinging his words. Closing his eyes in concentration, he focused on his earthly gifts to help the grass below her feet grow thick, wild and tall, then pushing it to weave itself together to create little steps for her to climb down. Once she was down, the grass would return to normal.

Arcis jumped slightly, her power flaring slightly as if to protect her. At the last second she changed it to accidently slam the door shut. Muttering curses, she clasped her hands behind her back, looking down at the ground. "I'm sorry. I just...I didn't know where everything was still, and was curious to know more." The brunette apologized, struggling slightly to get the better of her conflicting emotions. "Where is the library? I can probably stay there and not cause any trouble anymore." Really she wanted to try practicing her abilities to see all of what she could do. But she wasn't sure where she could do that, let alone she wasn't sure if anyone could help her.

Ken rolled his eyes as Blaire fell down to the ground. He shouldn't have laughed, but he also knew that Blaire would never inflict great harm on him. He took his punch silently, for he had deserved it and it wasn't painfully hard. "Serves you right for stalking us," he retorted. He hadn't expected Blaire to follow them. After all, she had made it clear back home (if he could call that place home) that she had no interest whatsoever in Ken's plans.

Ken heard the howl at the same time as Liore said, "They're leaving." Liore's assumption was proven correct minutes later as more static crackled through the communication device. "Dey're leaving," Sophronia's voice reported into everybody's ear piece. Ken's eyes darkened as he realized the wait was finally over. It was time.

He threw Jayden a semi-annoyed look as he watched the cigarette balanced between Jayden's lips. This kid was always too relaxed. "Mind finishing that or throwing it away?" he asked. Ken was grateful for Jayden's information about the town, his easy-going but detail-oriented nature was what made him such a huge asset to the team, but right now he needed everyone to concentrate. "Jayden, I need you to go back to town and distract the heir for as long as you can." Ken knew Jayden was probably the one person who was more eager to run into the manor than him, but he couldn't risk Jayden ruining everything for the sake of the sister.

"Blaire, do what you want," Ken said as he turned from Jayden to face the girl. It wasn't as if he'd be able to stop her even if he wanted to. "But please for the love of God take this seriously. You can come with Liore and me, as backup and potential distraction. I'd like to go in and go out, no person the wiser. But if we're engaged, I expect us to fight back with our all." Ken stared everyone in the eyes as he talked, age-old rage slowly rising up his chest.

Taking out his walkie talkie once more, he called the last remaining member of his team. "Sophy, meet us by the manor. We're going in," he said as he began walking to the meeting point. But no later had he uttered the words that he spotted Sophy bouncing down the path.

"Dey're coming," she exclaimed, albeit with a tinge of excitement. Ken cursed at their poorly situated location and quickly scanned their perimeter. He was eager to face the heir, true, but now was not the time. "Hide," he ordered as he quickly called on his energy within. Letting go of his material form, Ken melted into the shadows and drifted away, far enough to not be detected but relying on his extra senses to keep track of their movements.

Hataru looked at the other two and shook his head a bit. Things were going fine so far, he had no doubt that the others at home could handle things if they got hectic. The three of them had a job of their own in need of attendion. He sent Gemini off ahead to scout though, giving her the chance to look into her thoughts as he focused on the task at hand. They were to make their way in to town, and to the morgue. There would be plenty of fresh ideas there, and if not then they would make some. He did not plan to return home empty handed tonight. He had the odd feeling though that kept nagging him. Something wasn't right, but no one would be foolish enough to actually attemt something against him right? That would be suicide, for he would not let anyone involved go alive. He was not one to mess with if push came to shove so to speak. He was still alive and had been RavenWood's top experiment for centuries and now the master for a reason. People were not stupid enough to pick a fight with him, one they couldn't win. The three vanished into the trees, leaving the manor behind.

Fang sighed a bit, great he was going to be stuck babysitting. Shaking his head, he pushed the thought from his mind, replacing it with more positive ones. There was no use in feeling bad tonight. "The library is on the first floor, it has many interesting books to read if you wish, though I have a feeling that is not what your intetrested in." He didn't have to read her mind or anything to know she was curious about a bit more then where things in the manor were, though he had nothing better at the moment to do, so he might as well give her a hand and call it a day right?

Liore watched the actions of everyone, the girl falling from trees, Jayden, Ken and even hearing Sophie. They were deffinetly an odd bunch to anyone who bothered to stop and think about it. He sighs lightly as he began to follow Ken. There was no time to let foolish thoughts cloud his head or judgement. He felt the slight itch of a headache tug at the back of his mind, but pushed it away. Tonight he was going to do his job, and if someone got in their way he would tear them appart. It was a greusome thought, but this was no game for them, this was life and serious to the point where it seemed to be leading Ken's mind and body at the time. He looked the manor over a bit, the lights ment energy, which ment power, a big plus for him. His abilities would hopefully be useful within the unknown territory.

Cheshire sauntered behind the group as they made their way towards the manor. He kept enough distance to where he wasn't right up on them, but was not far enough to be out of sight anymore. He was quite surprised to be honest that no one had spotted him yet. He was not bothering to keep himself hidden anymore, perhaps he had overestimated this little group of people. His tail swayed, and he folds his paws behind his head. Hmm they seemed to be making their move on the manor, this was going to be an interesting game in deed. He had overherd the comment of the mirror, but there was no way they would find it in the big manor with the time they would have. He smiled a bit, he knew where it was though. Ah yes, Cheshire knew a lot of things others didn't, and was always interested in giving people a little nudge in the right or wrong direction. It all depended on them.

Gemini bounded ahead at Master's command, scouting ahead for any possible danger.in order to keep quiet, she turned her hands and feet into cat paws.Gemini never wore shoes or socks, because she hated the feeling of her feet being restricted, and it made it easier to change back and forth.using her heightened senses, she scouted the area in a distance of five miles forward, left and right, leaving no blind spots.she didn't bother to check behind, because she knew Master and Mari would know if anything was wrong.once she was sure there was no trouble of any form, she circled back to give her report.sometimes she wished that she could change fully into an animal, instead of just parts of her.she knew somewhere deep down that ability was there, but she couldn't reach it.not yet.she sighed and shook off the thought as she reached Master."all clear Master, mii~ no trouble ahead in at least five miles.Gemini told the birds to report anything unusual, mii~" she reported dutifully, reverting to speaking in the third person as she sometimes did when she was excited.

She was told to hide, frowning she ran blindly but ended up bumping into someone. She fell backwards and landed on her bum due to impact and looked up to see a person who had cat features. "Ah? Sorreh," the teen stood up and dusted herself off. "Really, I am sorreh. I didn't see ya." She blinked, she wasn't sure what to think of this person. "Come hide," she did not want to be off by herself, which was what she was originally probably going to end up being, so she decided to drag this person along with her.

"I have a toy!" She smiled and held the paw of the person, "I am Sophy, ya?" She looked at the person as she walked along. She hoped they wouldn't mind, then again the worse that could happen was her being left alone. She looked at the sky, her eyes following the trail of stars as she waited for an answer. 'What if dey don't like me? Then I'll be left alone hiding, eh? I don't like hiding. It's too dark.' Her eyes were not very good in the dark, she sometimes strained them in the dark because of how she was as a kid. Always up close to things, never at a comfortable distance. Everyone, even her grandfather, had tried to break that habit of hers to prevent this but it just never worked.

Cheshire looked at the girl who now held his paw. She was one of the people who were trying to infultrate the manor. She kept going on and he seemed for a moment to tune her out as he thought about the shift in his perdicament. Should he stay should he go he had to decide fast but then again...he could make a game of this as well. "Hiding is no fun, no fun at all" He stops her and turns her around back towards the manor. "You do not want to be left out now do you?" he smiles his tail flicking the air lightly "we can go together." He walked on ahead of her a bit "I was heading this way anyways and couldn't help overhearing your friends perdicament."Wouldn't it be nice to save your friends the trouble of having to deal with searching such a big place?" he questioned.

He turned to face her. "Wouldn't it be nice to see that friend of yours smile? He looks so serious, and to be all serious all the time is no fun at all" he laughed lightly then paused. "Then again perhaps you want to wait a long time for them to return..and possibly for a fight to insue? You must like hiding in cold dark scary woods." He nodded, taking her had leading her back towards the woods "alright, if that is what you want we can wait there, with all the wolves, and owls, bugs, lizards and of course...the snakes" he says. "I'm sure it will all be fine in the end" he smiled to himself.

Marionette walked in silence behind master and Gemini, the forest engulfed them shortly after they left and the manor behind them. She couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong. The uneasy rest all night, the fact that all of the experiments spent the day quiet, uneasy. She knew something was wrong, and she knew they knew it too, but no one really knew what it was that was coming.

She didn’t speak for the longest time but she did watch. Watched Master with that uneasy look in his eyes that she knew he wasn’t trying to let show. She was concerned most of all for him. Master was the entirety of her entire world, and when he was sad something inside her was sad too. She looked up at him and said in a quiet manner, hardly above a whisper, “you feel it too”

Blaire was silent for a moment after he told her to take things seriously, he didn’t know how serious she was. She had hardly had a wink of sleep in all of the past week for worry. She may be fighting for a different cause, but that didn’t make her any less serious about it. Not that she could blame him, they had had a pretty serious fight just before he left. She had tried to convince him that this how thing was suicide, but he had gotten angry with her. That didn’t mean she didn’t care, she just. Her face fell just a bit, “I am serious Ken, I’m here….” she paused for a moment, “to help you”

Hataru paused for a moment when the experiment spoke. He sighed lightly and nods turning to her. "Something is going on, but I do not want to overreact....I do believe we can handle ourselves, as well as the ones back at the manor can as well." He had faith that things would end up alright, even if it was going to take awhile all things passed and calmed sooner or later right? He had to believe that that was true..if he didn't he had no doubt that he would go crazy in his own right. He sighs lightly, and turns ddown the trail continuing to the town. He looked out at it, people were in their houses not daring to come out. The moon rising high over head, he was ready to get started. He crossed slowly over the streets to where the morgue sat on a small hill all alone., Moving to the door, he waited for the experiments before advancing.

Ken, or should we say the shadow that Ken had blended into, watched and waited with all seven senses as the heir's group passed by. They seemed on edge, but unsuspecting of the six forest inhabitants hiding so near their presence. Wait, six? Ken stretched himself thinner, expending more energy but gaining a better sense of his companions. Liore, check. Blaire and Jayden, check. Sophy and--

Ken frowned, or at least he would have had he had a solid body. Who had that girl bumped into? He slowly distinguished his own particles from the shadows and reformed beside a tree, half hidden save for his gray hair, which gleamed silver in the light of the moon. "Coast clear," he called into his device as he looked up at the full moon. A wolf howled in the distance, and for some reason that made him feel uneasy. Sophronia. Ken set off in the direction where he sensed Sophy and company. Just what was that girl doing?
