So, I have just recently got into listening to blues. I don't know why, but I find the genre more soothing then the "new age" BS.

So, Mene. I've been wondering, how many of you users listen to blues and what you'd reccomend to me to check out.

Blues has soul to it, that's why it's great. The blues is people falling on truly hard times. Many of the greats grew up on plantations, living in the slums, and/or living as hobos. They truly knew what hard times were, unlike most artists today.

Some of my favorite blues artists include:
Robert Johnson
Blind Willie McTell
John Lee Hooker
T-Bone Wlaker
Muddy Waters
Bukka White
Albert King
B.B. King
Howlin' Wolf
Son House
Buddy Guy
Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble
Willie Brown
Bo Diddley
and Taj Mahal
