So I saw a little application floating around on my Facebook wall where it would tell you what the number one chart topper was on your birthday and was intrigued. However, I usually don't like enabling stuff like that because of the potential for spam so I thought I'd do my own research. I ended up on the Bilboard Top 100 Hits page where they had a search function that you could look back to a certain year and date.

Apparently on my birthday "Gonna Make You Sweat" by C & C Music Factory was the number one hit. This turned out better than I expected, haha.

So how about you guys? If you feel like looking it up, what do you think about your own "Birthday Song"?

Mine's Say Say Say by Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson. I don't mind the song although it's not a song I'd go out of my way to listen to. A few more weeks and it would have been "Karma Chameleon" by the Culture Club. :XD

So you mean the one that was number one when I was born, or what was number one my birthday just passed?

Where my birthday is, I always get the Christmas number one as my birthday song. So when I was born it was 'Stay Another Day' by East 17 and the year just passed it was 'Wherever You Are' by The Military Wives ft Gareth Malone.

I remember one year I had 'Chocolate Salty Balls' by Chef from South Park as the number one. xD I'm pretty sure that was in '98.

Also, just to clarify, I'm going by the UK chart rather than the US one.

I went on to a website and double checked. This is what I got from 1994-2011.

Quote:
East 17 - Stay Another Day
1995 1 Michael Jackson - Earth Song
1996 2 Spice Girls - 2 Become 1
1997 3 Spice Girls - Too Much
1998 4 Chef - Chocolate Salty Balls (PS I Love You)
1999 5 Westlife - I Have A Dream / Seasons In The Sun
2000 6 Bob The Builder - Can We Fix It
2001 7 Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman - Somethin' Stupid
2002 8 Girls Aloud - Sound Of The Underground 4
2003 9 Michael Andrews feat. Gary Jules - Mad World
2004 10 Band Aid 20 - Do They Know It's Christmas
2005 11 Shayne Ward - That's My Goal
2006 12 Leona Lewis - A Moment Like This
2007 13 Leon Jackson - When You Believe
2008 14 Alexandra Burke - Hallelujah
2009 15 Joe McElderry - The Climb
2010 16 Matt Cardle - When We Collide
2011 17 Military Wives with Gareth Malone - Wherever You Are
There are actually very few songs on that list that I like. xD

According to the facebook app. my song is '(Everything I do) I do it for you' by Bryan Adams. An easy going and cute song. Not one of my favorites, but not a bad one.

I just checked that site...and apparently the top song when I was born was La Bamba by Los Lobos.

This last year it was Someone Like You by Adele.

Mine was "Kokomo" by the Beach Boys. This year was "Someone Like You" by Adele, but I don't know it. Now here's a fun addition: Go back nine months to get the song your parents were shagging to when you were conceived! Mine is "Could've Been" by Tiffany. But since I was late, it may have been "Need You Tonight" by INXS. :sarcasm:
