Verdigris chuckled at the bird mans comment about how much food he could eat. Carving off several long strips of meat he turned it slowly before rolling the remaining meat into rock salt once more and putting it back on the fire. Dividing the heaping pile of meat onto three different plats he left it on the table near the fir before once more taking his seat on the couch. It was amazing how this one seemed as if made perfectly for his height.

A'iel had retreated when the other girl cam forward and promptly joined Verdi on his couch with a plat of vegetables and bread perched on her lap. Grinning up at him she winked before eatting. All that cooking had worked up a hunger, and it seemed the others would not eat until they could see for themselves her and Verdi eatting.

Rivek was surprised and the little girl's reaction, taking a step back. Well, he should have known no one here was completely normal. He caught Rahza's eyes turn black. Well, have to play more careful from now on. He was too used to relying on his eyes to give him information about the world.

Motioning for Parang to come with him - and giving him a bowl of stew for good measure - , he took a set of cutlery, his plate of meat, and sat down with Verdi and A'iel. Well, at first, he wasn't going to risk eating without Myla, but at this point, he supposed it didn't matter because the others were doing it.

Ladu sat with all knees bent, forepaw crossed over forepaw with neck and held kept up allowing eyes to easily scope the room at all times. Ears perked just a bit in a lazy fashion making clear nothing is of dire interest to him but still alert and somewhat attentive all the same.

Rahza's leg soon stretched out in trying to reach the panther wanting to use him once again for a foot cushion but he was on the other side and far out of reach. She knew it was impossible but she hoped her attempt would get him to move into a correct spot but no such luck.

Ladu snickered a laugh with a shake to his head before glancing to the gathered group sitting down to eat. The smell wasn't alluring to him in the least. He rarely eats cooked things.

The petite girl played the large harp and sang in hum for a bit longer letting the room be filled with waves of serenity that was meant to help ease the mind and body to put any in a more calming mood. Now this doesn't work all the time but its history has more success then fails.

Fingers having enough she would get up letting it finish the song by itself as she took to the floor a few feet off and started to twirl in dance. Like a pixie in the wind as she twirled on her tip-toes, the dress flying up a bit from the motion letting her feet and part of her legs being seen. The dress being so loose makes her look bigger then she actually is. With eyes close and still humming with the music she dances to herself, almost like that of some ritual. All around her flows tiny particles of sparkles and glowing dust making the area look... beautiful. Lets hope its not a mean to cast a charm on those nearby.

Parang plopped down on the floor at the foot of the couch, leaning on it as he sipped at the liquid of his stew. He stared at the girl who danced in the off center of the room, watching the fabric swish this way and that. And for once, the inn decorated with the remains of the dead looked as if it was the centerplace of all things peaceful. Humming along softly with the notes that were strummed before the dance, Parang thought his eye lids were getting a little heavier as he slowly emptied his bowl.

The girl sang and sang well. The notes were relaxing, although the panther in the corner still caused him tension. Again, as long as he stayed far enough away, his body wouldn't over-react.

Rivek cut the boar on his plate, gentlemanly eattting the small pieces inidividually - out of habit more than anything, something he always did with others nearby. Out in the woods, just him and Vika, he would most certainly have been using his hands and teeth.

Salty, just as he liked it. Seafood was salty, and he had to admit shellfish were his favorite kind of food. And well, blood was a good kind of salty, too, but although he had a particular fondness for that, he'd never admit it to anyhow. It was a shame that cooking meant meant this flavor was lost, but well, as Verdi had done, it could easily be replaced by other spices.

He ruffled Parang's hair, as he could tell the sparrow was falling asleep. "If Myla doesn't return soon, this one here will be renting floor space... although i doubt he has any money to pay rent with." If need be, he'd take care of it. Better lose some gold than a feathered ally, even a kind of helpless one.

Rahza continued to twirl in dance and sing softly letting the room be filled with the calm serenity her tunes sent off unseen. Eyes opened up a bit from time to time to make sure she wasn't losing her sense of direction as impossible as it might seem she never left the spot in which she started. Keeping to a circle with a radius of no larger then 3 feet.

She caught view of the one starting to drift as her own ears picked up hearing him giving off his own voice which she had to admit was rather nice. Smiling cutely as eyes shut once more she continued but got bored of the spot so started to dance and twirl all over the floor since they were all seated and out of way.

Ladu kept his gaze upon her and the others, especially the one in which she already talked to and asked for name. It would seem Rahza had a liking to him or at least some sort of curiosity which isn't a good thing when knowing her past but thats only if she is interested for same reasons as previous ones. He didn't budge but stayed where he layed letting his eyes see all he need to.

He let her go on with her fun for a while longer before finally rising to be standing upon all fours with tail never swaying as head kept hunched as if he was sneaking around but its just the way he tends to walk most of the time.

Enough Rahza
. Eyes glancing to her as he stopped less then a foot space between him and her as she slowed soon after his thought to her with shoulders slumping. Quickly she picked herself up, pushed the wrinkles out of the dress and pushing her luck she tip-toed in a fast prance over to where the bird-men are and on the other side of Parang, where Aari isn't, she would lean over with hands to her side and give a tender kiss to the man's ear in thanks for him joining her music. With a soft giggle she made her way back giving a curtsy to the rest rather anyone was looking at her or not and then headed for the stairs.

A few feet behind her Ladu followed.

[[ Okay now as much as I'd rather make things go in different angle and bring Myla back into the picture I can't. I am going to be gone for a few days. Not sure of exact date in which I will get back but I won't be able to RP for awhile.

I don't expect you guys to stop and wait for me, nor do I want or ask that. Thus you may continued to play as you see fit with me still out of the picture which is why I made 'em leave so I can be excused from the RP until I get back.

As far as getting a room goes and such - I will give Verdi rein to take charge on Myla's behalf if she can give more time to play like today for instance. (this just makes sense IC since that is the one Myla has seem to grown to like/trust the most even though that isn't alot xP) My company will be arriving sometime tonight thus I have alot of stuff I need to take care of today soo I feel I won't be able to post much after this. ^^;;

Hope you all have a good week and have fun with whatever you guys do. <33 ]]

A'iel sat watching the girl play first her harp and then singing and dancing about the room. For some reason the song made her feel extremely content in a lazy almost sleepy sort of way. Eyes fluttering to keep awake she watched as the little crystals of light appeared. Somewhere in the back of her mind she registered that as being something potentially bad, but could not make herself actually care enough to d anything about it. Leaning on Verdi for a bit of support she continued to watch through half lidded eyes. When Rahza stopped dancing the sleepy feeling immediately left A'iel and blinking furiously she tried to get rid of the foggy feeling in her head. What had been happening? Looking at Rahza in suspicion she pet Parangs head for a moment and turned to Rivek, "He can stay with me for tonight" she said quietly, "its the least i can do for.. well for before" she motioned vaguely a faint blush creeping up her cheeks.

Verdigris on the other hand merely watched the girl with a mild interest. It seemed that whatever it was she was trying to pull didn't really work on him. Glancing down at both A'iel and Parang he wondered if they were falling asleep because of the eventful day, or if something Rahza was doing was triggering the sudden sleepiness. Quirking a brow at A'iel comment he leaned back to see how Cypress and Rivek would react as both seemed attached to one of the members of the party..

Cypress merely sulked when the two bird men sat to join Verdigris and A'iel on the couch. Oh so they were all friends and cozy together were they? he was the odd one out once again was he? Pushing the venomous thoughts from his mind he focused at glaring alternately at the backs of A'iels and Parang's head. He couldn't decide what annoyed him more; A'iel and Aari doting on the little feather freak, or A'iel and Parang being all "cute" together.

Rahza's dancing brought more serene thoughts to mind; the leather outside, his map somewhere up stairs, and a down bed waiting for him upstairs. Daydreaming to himself he stood and walked as if in a trance to stand next to rahza, swaying slightly until she stopped. Blinking down at her in surprise he walked back to his chair and grabbed a loaf of naan to take to his room. He was sick at looking at the cozy little group sharing the couch and the talk of sharing a room was starting to really grate on his nerves. He could only stay silent for so long. Moodily he climbed up the stairs and slipped into his room, laying down for the night.

(( sorry took me so long, this week is also a bit of a busy one for me as well, sisters bday, company coming, 4 year anniver, and A-kon ^^;; sorry if I'm very slow this week. ))

Rivek of course, was also affected by Rahza's music. It was calming him down, making his eyes gray, his heart slow. He chuckled a little, though, as Cypress stormed upstairs. Kid should learn some manners.

Psychicly looking for Vika, he found the bird asleep on a nearby oak. Best not to wake him. Magic or not, he was still susceptible to his avian sleep cycle. He wondered if that other green girl was still outside.

Finishing his meal, he asked A'iel, "I'm guessing I should go to the kitchen and wash this?" He nudged Parang, implying he would also take care of the sparrow's. "And of course, you both," he said, extending his hand to take the dishes from Verdi and A'iel.

Without Myla around, he felt uncomfortable spending the night at her house without her blessing - and assurance he wouldn't be eaten. The cooking had been different because he'd helped with that, and he could blame Verdi for it anyhow. He turned to A'iel, "Well, if you're housing Parang for the night, I might also request a favor. I don't have plans on sleeping in this establishment myself, but I would like someone to hold my things until I return tomorrow. May I keep them in your room, A'iel?" She was the only one he really trusted to safeguard his stuff... but he wasn't too sure she wouldn't root through it. But he was willing to take his chances.

"I'll help" she offered standing to gather Cypress' plate since hers had already been taken by Aari. Taking the plate and cup to the sink she turned the water on and cleaned the dishes before wandering around looking for a towel. Finding none she shrugged and pulled part of her sari off to dry the things.

Having finished the few dishes that Cypress had used she looked around the room to take into account how much food she should be storing. Unsure if Myla was going to come back or if anyone would be hungry later she closed two of the pots and nudged them back into the fireplace with the poker. Unsure of what to do with the rest she wandered in and out of some of the rooms behind the counter until she found a very cool storage room where large hanks of meat hung. Shuddering at the sight she ducked out quickly taking a few deep breaths before gathering the remaining full pots of food and sliding them into the room with closed eyes.

"You want to leave your stuff with me?" asked A'iel a bit surprised at his random comment. "I suppose that would be fine, but I'm surprised you don't ask Verdi or Cypress". Leading the way up the stairs she motioned to the room Verdi had chosen for her before skipping down the stairs to ask Verdi to drag another bed into her room for Parang.

Verdi sat watching the two amiable people chatter and do dishes before glancing back at Parang. Was he asleep or just leaning forward. Chuckling he leaned closer for a better look. Poor boy look exhausted and very different from the other creatures he had seen thus far. A short time later A'iel came down to ask him to move heavy furniture and smiling he stood and stretched before climbing the stairs slowly to go about his new task.

New bed pushed on the other side of the room close to the fire he left the room to return to his. It had been a long day and with the added bonus of a full stomach of good food sleep would be welcome. "Good night" he murmured walking into his room and dropping the lock into place.

While Rahza danced eyes took in all the sights around her taking note of the hidden spell to the rhythm taking affect on some. She grinned cutely in noting the buck went unphased thus she would make it seem as she is unaware of the others getting sleepy or dazed as if its just them or perhaps something from the woods and not herself.

As Cyp approached she slowed before stopping and would blow a kiss his way as well as give a giggling wink in watching him go back to his chair before heading upstairs. Eyes once again flashed solid black a moment as body slowed to soon stop and be escorted upstairs with Ladu. Grumbling to self under breath with a clenched fist. Yes, she is slightly upset at the fact he ruined what she was trying to do. What point is casting a spell to put people in your palm if you can't even make use of that affect? Breathing fast through gritted teeth as she ducks into the room and trys to slam the door shut on him but Ladu catches it with his paw as eyes look at her in narrowment but nothing is said as he slips inside and the door closes behind him with his tail.

Of course as already seen, the moment Rahza's movements and music stopped the trancing spell instantly ended and quickly faded off but it tends to be able to go unnoticed as in the victims merely think its their own body in need of sleep not having help. This told her to which ones would victim to what - a way to learn and also see what she needs to do to get back at Rivek. [[Though she was introduced to him as his other name I will use Rivek when its not spoken to help keep myself less confused. >.>]] True her reason isn't a really good one she has her eye on him for some reason which Ladu is already aware seeing how she had pinpoint most of her attention to watching him during her dance. Though most can't tell he knows how to see through the dance and sees her as if she was just standing still.

Rahza crawls into bed and rests her eyes until she soon falls alseep while Ladu lays on the floor between the bed and the door with head facing the door. He sleeps but very little, even when eyes are closed he is wide awake so its hard to know for sure when exactly he does get needed rest.

Many hours long passed and still no sign of Myla. She was last seen in the woods when the boar attacked taking off and hasn't been seen since. Oddly enough there hasn't even been a trace of her walking skeletons during her absence either. Makes one wonder if something happened to her, she actually trusts them to not ruin her place or maybe she is there while everyone is unaware.

The sun has now long set letting darkness lay blanket over the land as night now reigns until the sun shall rise again. The moon is bright and high in the sky as winds grow stronger with no trace of sun, leaving no room for warmth. Cooler tempatures take over completely. Various calls and sounds of the wildlife also show sign of life. Things in which can be heard from within the tavern's walls. Howls, screeching, humming and other things of said sort.

The harp, that has been playing every second now comes to a dull stop letting the room be filled with only the sound of the crackling fire and the chatter of the living. What keeps the room viewable to walk around in would be the light from the burning fire to the fireplace as well as various candles adorning the wall being held by of course, boney fingers and hands for the larger ones while some seems to be a tail or claw. All light up at once bringing plenty of light but easy on the eyes.

The ground outside starts to be covered in some sort of mask shielding the view of the floor from those in the high trees. With this cover things run around, more rampant. Some things charge at the door though it does not budge, others try to climb up on the roof and find a crack in but with no luck. Soon from under the crack of the door and window the smell of raw flesh was drifting in. Coming from outside. The smell of things just killed and stripped of their skin. Blood strong and still wet.

The perfect layout in trap should someone be wanting to lure out a certain bird or anything that has a liking for raw meats.

Still no sign of Myla.

Rivek smirked at A'iel. "Well, Cypress, at least, isn't someone I would much trust with my effects."

Damn large cat was still bothering him. That girl still seemed okay. Odd, but okay. She felt of magic, though. Trust Rivek to forget than things here were not like what they seemed. It came from focusing too much on hiding his other traits, he supposed.

He went upstairs to her room which was, not surprisingly, unlocked. He laid his weaponry in a corner, neatly in rows. He stretched out his arms. The days of traveling as a human being were taking a toll on him. He beginning to feel some physical exhaustion. Then, he removed his shirt and tunic, folding them neatly, and laid them over his sword. Finally, he took off his belt, making sure to keep one hand on his pants to keep them from falling down. Mainland cuts were meant for... uh, wider people. Nothing else had been long enough.

Now stripped of his equipment, he knelt facing the window. The sounds of wildlife are at once comforting and distressing. Normaly, it would only be the former, but how calm could the creatures around here be with the scent of death so strong?

He touched the wheel tattooed on his left arm, still fully remembering the pain as the artist - damn slow, at that - had inked it it. Although not regular practice, he did sometimes pray when people would not be there to see him - that is, when people would not be there to identify his religion and condemn him for it. His sister had taught him this, less as a prayer but more as a meditation, something to control the magic dwelling in his veins, that which made the process agonizing.

He touched his left hand from his lips to his forehead to his heart: the three marks of authority - respect, admiration, and love. He never actually said anything. He only repeated the words in his head, moving his lips in tandem. He felt the sting as feathers grew on his back, pushing out of hair follicles, using the words to take his mind off the pain. Which he knew would just get worse. He always dreaded that stage, the one which always left him momentarily at his most vulnerable - when the marrow in his bones evaporated, leaving them rather easy to break.

Vika ruffled his feathers. A diurnal creature, he wasn't one to fly around much at night. Then again, he tried never to fully sleep, either. Especially not in places like this. He can sense that Rivek is himself growing feathers and wouldn't answer if Vika said anything. Knowing his master's weakness at this point, he took off. Better to take matters into his own hands.

The cover on the ground, in addition to the night, impeded Vika's sight. How annoying. But there was no mistaking the smell of blood. He flew in closer, avoiding the ground, but still circling lower and lower. No thermals, though. That was also pretty annoying.

[[ Woot, this place has long been forgotten I am sure. But I can't blame no one for that since all the reg RPers here had to move on to tend to RL Matters which are more pressing and important then the web, always is.

Thus this place got put on hold and locked while it wasn't being used but now, though not everyone is here anymore (some players quit or still on hiatus etc), Ji-chan and I ARE here and now both have the means to put forth some role-playing time. Might not be everyday as well, she has a newborn to care for and I work full-time, but still we will do more then nothing at all and of course this place IS open to anyone who cares to join us but as far as the current story, WELL ji-chan and I have to plot to see where we want to pick up from to know where we are at within the story's setting. We'll sorta be starting over, and yet not since the chars have already met and what has been done, the char's have to their memories, etc. Its just the plot had more then one char beside are own. That isn't the case now so we have to make things turn to suit what cards we have at hand now.

Thus if others want to help us start a new, you're WELCOME to share so and perhaps give it a try, at least after we discover what are basis grounds are gonna be. xD;; ]]

Making them look slightly better. xD Still nothing fancy and nothing compared to my main threads since this place isn't meant to be a focus on the first page. =P But still appealing all the same. I still need to update things for the story itself, where the chars are (the ones still around) and then the time of day and such but gotta discuss that with Ji-chan first. I think I also might end up making banners for these RP threads of ours. xD ]]
