A beautiful grey wolf cuddles next to her mate. While she is asleep, the male watches, protecting her. He hears leaves rustling in a bush, and turns his brown muzzle to the sound, he smells another wolf on the air.

She smells a few wolfs close by and doesn't know what to do-- to go and investigate or stay as far away as possible. Deciding upon herself, she finds a cool shaded patch of grass and lays down.

The male wolf stands up and goes over to investigate, "Shade? Where are you going? It's cold."
'Aponi, there is another wolf nearby, I have to protect you."
"Be careful then, please?" She lays her head back down and tries to go back to sleep, but she keeps alert, just in case she is needed.

Lily's ears perked up, on of the wolves were headed her way, she began seriously debating on hiding or making a run for it, but who was she kidding she was only a tired wolf, who wandered too far that needed a nap.

Shade approaches her, "What are you doing loner? This territory belongs to my mate and I. Did you not smell the marks?" He growled. "I don't appreciate trespassers."

"My apologies, I wandered a little too far and need to rest," she really didn't think she needed to go into details with a stranger, so she decided that she wouldn't. She wasn't trying to offend the other wolf, she just wanted to take a load off and rest her aching feet.

"That's no excuse," Shade growls "I have a mate to protect."
As if on cue, Aponi walks behind Shade, "What is it?"

"I'm not here to attack you, can a women not take a nap in peace, seriously. I've been wandering non-stop for two days now, poachers my pack. I'll be continuing on in a matter of hours, then I'll be down the road, and out of your way," Lily spoke tiredly.

"Shade, a packis more than two... Lets just give her a chance." Aponi nuzzled him
"You she-wolves always want to give chances."
"Shade... do you want pups or not? I can hold out." Shade stayed silent. "Come on," she said to the she-wolf, "come to our den." She begins to lead the way along side of Shade.

"Thank you, for you kindness," Lily spoke softly, as she got up yawning and started to follow directly behind the other two wolves, she must have gotten a little too close to their den, now she could see why he was on her case about coming to close.

Just past the bushes, Aponi lead her to a small den, "So, If youre going to be staying with us, we need to know your name."
Shade just went into a corner and lay down, keeping an eye on the newcomer.

"Many pardons, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Lilith, but you can call me Lily, if you like," Lily yawned.

"Well hi Lily, This is our den, and I say that youre welcome here. Make yourself comfortable and sleep" Aponi then took her place next to her mate, yawned and went to sleep.

Shade kept an eye on the newcomer.

Lily yawned, stretching, then curling up, and laying down in a nice, comfortable corner. Her eyes grew heavy and she slowly but surely drifted into sleep. She really didn't understand how she was a threat, how could she prove to Shade that she wasn't the enemy here?

Dawn arrived, and Shade crept out of the den after examing sleeping Lily, he snuck of to hunt for food.

Lily woke up briefly, still exhausted she went back to sleep, and sleep for what seemed like ages, the aching in her feet was becoming more manageable at least.

Aponi streches a little later and walks over to Lily, nudging her, "If you want food, youll need to hunt for yourself... I'm in no shape to hunt or i would catch you a rabbit.

Lily nods, "Okay, I will." Lily eased herself up, limping slightly because he back leg had fallen asleep. After the feeling came back she headed into the nearby wood scouting for any sign of small animals, either it be a rabbit, or a few squirrels. She finally spotted a large rabbit, she grinned, perfect--she thought. She crept up on the large rabbit, pouncing it, taking it's neck between her powerful jaws, it squirmed and squeaked, and with a crunch it's seething and yelping ceased.

With the rabbit firmly between her jaws she muttered, "Want some, Aponi?"

"With Shade still not trusting you, I would rather wait until he gets back with out kill." Aponi lay back down,"So, Lily, what brings you here? I have never caught your sent before, even in the areas not claimed by any pack."

Lily dropped the rabbit, her eyes shifted to the floor, "My pack was killed, I watched my mate die from a distance, my Father and Mother saved my life. I was told to run, I did as I was told. I've been running for two days, well until now...I'm surprised I wasn't followed, I guess being undiscovered has its advantages."

"If your whole pack was killed, what could be following you?" Aponi streched out

"I'm not sure, I'm pretty sure nothing followed me though," she spoke softly as she went to chomping on her rabbit.

The smell of a freshly killed fawn driftsinto the den, "What do you mean 'followed me'?"
Shade was back, he sounded muffled because of teh kill in his mouth, he set it down in front of Aponi, who began to eat.

"We will have pups soon, we can't risk danger."
He sounded scarily angry. Aponi seemed to no better to keep quiet when Shade got like this, but she does think the surely Lily will defend herself.

"No ones following me, I trekked slowly the first few hours, covered my tracks, and trekked back they wanted my Mate and my Parents for Trophies, I'm guessing because all of their bodies were gone when I went back to the initial scene..," Lily said between mouth-fulls of meat.
