Greetings, Yan and Miko here! Recently, we've come across a rumor that there's a treasure map hidden in a park nearby that would show you the way to the center of the earth. Now, you may be skeptical about something like this, but Yan and I are true adventurers! We follow every treasure map, every rumor until we find what we're looking for! And this adventure will be no different. Prepare to be unskepticized!

XXII Journey back to our boring abode

{ Journey to the center of the earth! }


This is our humble abode! I don't know who that lady is, but I think she's trying to break in! It's a good thing Yan, being the mischievous baby he is, set up booby traps! Now it's off to the park where the treasure awaits!


We arrived at the park and noticed that there were people in the sandbox. We wouldn't stand by and let them take our treasure, oh no! We put dirt on our faces and leaves in our hair, giving us the appearance of homeless people. Then, we crawled over to the sandbox and started moaning and groaning. The people ran, leaving the sandbox completely cleared out. Yan and I grinned, proud of ourselves and began digging in the sandbox for the treasure map.


My Yan is quite the digger, so it didn't take us long to find the treasure map. Much to our surprise, the treasure we were searching for was right under us! All we had to do was keep digging until we reached a hatch that would lead to our destination. As we opened the hatch, Yan and I were sucked into a chute and then we landed in a jungle.

{ Saturday Entry #1 }


As Yan and I made our way through the jungle, we were suddenly attacked by these giant bee creatures. Their stingers were easily the size of a grown human and they were dripping some disgusting liquid that melted the ground in which it fell on. Not wanting to get disintegrated before we even began, Yan and I took cover under trees with low branches, where the bees could not reach. Not long after, the buzzing of their giant wings dimmed down until all was silent. Thankful that we still had our lives, Yan and I continued our journey in this exciting yet dangerous place!

{ Saturday Entry #2 }


Yan and I decided to search for food. Being the extreme adventurers that we are, we thought it necessary to find food on our journey. Thus is the life of a true adventurer!

We traveled for several minutes, searching for anything that looked edible but not poisonous. Finally we came upon these plants; they were oval and looked like they had teeth. Like the bees, these plants were abnormally big and I had to stand on my tiptoes just to get a closer look. In order to test the plant, I picked a stick up off the ground and poked it. The mouth opened and closed with a snap, breaking the stick in half. I noticed something before it closed, some sort of fruit in its center!

Now we just had to figure out how to get it. I looked around for a moment and saw a carving on a tree nearby. It showed a depiction of someone grabbing the plant by it's stem and reaching in it's mouth. I did exactly as the carving described and was able to pull out a mango-looking fruit. I took a bite to make sure it wasn't poisonous and handed it to Yan.

{ Saturday Entry #3 }


Full and quite satisfied, Yan and I were making our way along a trail happily when we came upon a beautiful clearing complete with a waterfall and a pool of clear, seemingly drinkable water. Yan screeched with delight and ran towards the pool, discarding his clothes. He jumped in the air and formed a little ball, coming down on the water with a giant splash. I yelled out for him to be careful, but as usual Yan just did his own thing.

While he splashed around, I decided to search for something we could contain water in. Putting my extensive adventuring skills to use, I took leaves from a nearby tree and made a pouch that would, hopefully, hold water. To test it, I walked over to the pool and shoved the pouch under it, letting it fill with water. As I pulled it out, no water seemed to be escaping so I smiled with pride. I called out to Yan, letting him know that we would be leaving soon.

{ Saturday Entry #4 }


After Yan was done splashing around in the water, and I had collected enough in my pouches, we continued our journey throughout the jungle. In order to find our way back, we had been marking trees and rocks with some of the juice from the fruits earlier. It was very bright and we could only hope it would stay long enough to guide us back home.

A loud squawking filled our ears suddenly and giant shadows passed over our heads. We looked up and lo and behold, there were giant colorful birds flying gracefully in the sky. We stared for a minute, after making sure they weren't coming to eat us, and appreciated the beauty of the giant birds.
