This is an Final Fantasy 7 with Cloud and Sephiroth if you aren't either of us don't post here.

Sephiroth looked out at the expanse of land that was in front of him. He knew that taking this solo missions was probably a mistake, but he was the General of the Shinra Army, and he wasn't afraid of anything. Getting back on his black chocobo, Midnight, he made his way across the landscape and towards the city of Midgar where he was supposed to report in. He, however, knew as soon as he got there that he would have to immediately go to president Shinra and give his report. He didn't like the man, nor did he like the two things that were to come afterwards. He would be seen by Professor Hojo to make sure that everything was alright with him, and then he would have to go to the training hall and see the new recruits. All in a days work he thought. At least he knew that he would be able to spar with Zack later that evening.

Cloud was one of the new recuits as the general came to the training hall everyone lined up. Cloud was at the end of the line standing attention so the general could check out who was there. Cloud couldn't help but to lean over and sees the general, Sephiroth, Cloud amired him like an idol. Cloud heard much things about Sephiroth and already had devloped an crush on him but he didn't tell anyone else cause he knew it was against the rules or something. He peeks thru the visor that was on his helmet watching him. Before he stands back as this was one reason why he join SOLDIER and that it would protect his family as well if he did.

Coming to the Shinra main gates he walked his chocobo over to the stables and then handed it to one of the trainers/stable hands that was there working. Once that was done he made his way to the training hall, and smirked when he came towards the door as he saw all of the new recruits standing at attention to wait to be graced by his divine presence. Was he vain? Indeed he was. Striding into the room, his black leather boots clicking on the tiled floor, he glanced at the soldiers that were there. He knew immediately that some wouldn't make it passed the first day of training, some of them would be there for the glory of being a considered a SOLDIER, and some of them didn't know why they were here. He stopped at the end of the line and saw one of the soldiers that was standing there. Smirking at him, he could see the other male shake slightly.

Walking back to the center of the room he was joined by his first class SOLDIER friend, Zack Fair. Clearing his throat he said,"Welcome to SOLDIER. Your training will be hard and you will take everything that is given to you. I am not going to lie and say that you will all make it into our elite ranks, only about 1/4 of you will. Train hard, and make Shinra and SOLIDER proud. Zack will take over for the rest of the day. Dismissed." Sephiroth turned on his heel with the full intention of going back to his room, and taking a very warm, long shower.

Cloud watches which was an good thing their helmets had visors. Sephiroth wouldn't see how his face much. He keeps himself calm and still he could but he couldn't help but to be nervous. He knew he had to train hard if there was anyway to move up in the ranks. Right now they was all at the low ranks since they was recuits. Cloud listens to the general looking over at the other man beside him.

Once Sephiroth head start to leave and left Zack in charge. "Ok you will all take an turn in the simulator for different missons this will help your training." Zack looks over to see which one would go first. He notice the man at the left the one Sephiroth had look at before "You" Cloud blinks and points at him "Me?" Zack rolls his eyes and walks over "Yes you pay attention. Cloud says "Uhh..y..yes sir.." and heads to the simulator room.

Sephiroth continued to walk down the hallways on his way to the labs where he would be poked and prodded with various needles. For god's sake he was the oh fearless leader of the Shinra army, yet he was totally afraid of needles. It was rather sad. Opening the door he walked through it as it slid open to be greeted by a smiling Dr. Hojo. He gave him a curt nod as he followed the doctor into the examining room. Removing his jacket and shoulder pads he went to lay down on the table.

Once there he was immediately strapped down to the table, and then he was injected with something that was glowing a faint green color. He was injected with mako. Mako was the lifeblood of the planet, and this is what made SOLDIER warriors strong. He braced himself for the pain that he knew would come as a scream ripped its way out of his throat.

Once he was inside the simulator would soon active to an screen which would happen in everyday life as an SOLDIER. He found himself in the desert and heard his cell ring. As he anwser it and heard Zack's voice on the other end. Zack would say "Your mission is defeat ten enemies without getting hit by the other..if you get hit the mission is over." then he hangs up. He sighs deeply and slips his cell back into his pocket before grabbing his sword. "Well here goes nothing.." says and takes off. Right away he gets attack by three which the first ones seem to be easy to defeat.

But the next four was alittle bit stronger. And of course being out numbered wasn't easy as he thought. As he winces and falls back when one hit him with an blank shot but seeing it was an simulator it doesn't hurt....much. He still took the hit and soon Zack walks up and sighs gently "You need alot of work" Zack pulls out his cell and abords the misson. As the screen disappears. Cloud's helmet had came off during the attack and he groans felt an small cut across his cheek. He sighs to himself as he wasn't going anywhere if he keeps taking hits like this. Zack helps Cloud up "You did good for an recuit but you need to work on it some more...with lower missons. Now go take an shower." Cloud sighs deeply and nods picking up his helmet and his sword. "Yes sir.." and leaves as Zack continues with the others training.

Cloud walks out into the hallway and shakes his head. He walks past the labs heading toward the dorm area where everyone lived at. He couldn't help but to hear an scream from insideand wondering what was going on. He knew he shouldn't be nosey but he couldn't help it and moves closer to the door trying not to open it with movement seeing how senstive the door was.

Sephiroth didn't know that he had passed out from the pain, but apparently he had. Cracking his eyes open he winced as the bright fluorescent lights hit his eyes. Closing his eyes he heard Hojo's voice ask him if he was awake. He nodded his head as he told Hojo that he was awake. Hojo came over and peered at him as he brought over another vial. Sephiroth closed his eyes again, knowing that this one was going to hurt more than getting injected with the mako. He was going to be injected with something called "J" cells. They were going to make him even stronger. He winced a little bit as he felt the needle begin to pierce his skin when Hojo pulled the needle out of him as he heard the door come sliding open.

Hojo walked over to the door and looked at the person that was there and said,"Hello there, SOLDIER. What can I do for you?"Apparently, Hojo had completely forgotten about him lying there on the slab of cold metal, being restrained to the table as he looked at the blonde in front of him.

Cloud nearly jump back when the door came open like that. He knew better but there was nothing he could do about it now. He blinks seeing the man before him. "Ehh..nothing just was concern about who ever was screaming in there. I know it was wrong to listen." He trys to look pass him but Hojo was blocking the view so he couldn't see much of who that was. He clears his throat abit and takes an deep breath "I think I better should go and take an shower I kinda took an beating eariler in the simulator." rubs his cheek as it still burns alittle.

Hojo continued to look at the blonde in front of him as a wicked smile began to spread on his wrinkled features."You best be off then,"said Hojo as he began turning his back on the blonde."You'd do best to not let your mind or your curiosity wander."With that being said Hojo continued back into the examining room part of the lab and came back to Sephiroth's side."So where were we?" he said with a small chuckle as he brought the needle filled with the J cells. Sephiroth closed his eyes again and braced himself for the pain that he knew was coming.

As he was injected with the needle he didn't scream this time, but he bit his lip so hard that it began to bleed. After what seemed like ages he opened his eyes again, and heard Hojo say that he was allowed to go. Getting off of the table he fell to his knees as a technician came running over to him. Hojo looked over at him with disapproval, and then told the technician to take him back to his room. The technician nodded and the two of them left the lab, and began hobbling back towards Sephiroth's room.

Cloud watches him as he couldn't help but to be creeped out alittle by that wicked smile that Hojo gave him. He takes an deep breath and decide to not say anything else about it. he would head to his room as he had heard about weird experments beside giving all SOLDIER mako. As he already been througt that himself he hated needled but it was the only way to make him and the others strong. But he also knew higher ranks was giving more mako than lower ranks. He takes off his shirt and heads to the bathroom once he return to his room and goes to take an shower.

Managing to get to his room the technician opened the door using the key card and brought the general to his bed. Sephiroth was completely out of it, but he was pretty sure that he head the technician say that he was sorry that he had to go through all of these tests. Sephiroth waved his hand knowing that it wasn't the technicians fault. He heard the technician close the door behind him with a small click, which left Sephiroth in total darkness.

Letting out a ragged breath he clapped his hands two times and the room lit up with small fluorescent lights. He let out a sigh as his eyes adjusted. As the pain subsided he decided on two things. One, training wasn't going to happen today, and two he needed a shower. Getting off of the bed he went to the bathroom stripped down, and stepped into the calm, soothing water. Once he was done he got out of the shower and got into a pair of pajama bottoms, he always slept topless. Settling into his bed he took a binder filled with the new SOLDIER recruits as he began looking through them. If the records were right then they had a lot of training to do.

Cloud steps out of the shower and drys himself off. He sighs gently didn't know if he would be able to do this but he just had to train harder. He really wanted to make his family proud of him since he was the first to be accepted. He brushes some of his wet blond hair out of his face before he puts an bandage on his cheek. He felt tired and sore from training as he yawns alittle. He pulls on some sleeping shorts. He walks out of the bathroom and heads to bed before he grabs his cell to check his messages before he puts his cell down.

He rolls over and onto his back as his mind couldn't help but to go over what happen earilier. He always heard that Dr. Hojo was an great sciencetist but was kinda crazy. He really didn't know the whole truth about what was going on with expertments but he couldn't ask around cause all that would lead was trouble. He grabs his ipod and slips the buds into his ears and rolls over to fall asleep.

Sephiroth continued to leaf through the various files that were in front of him. With each passing one he could tell that there was more work that needed to be done. For starters they got twice as many applicants than they could actually train. He nodded to himself as he decided that he would need to do an elimination round with the recruits tomorrow. They were going to be paired off and the loser would be going home. That would help them at least get back to the normal number of people that they could actually train and do a good job on. Closing the binder he placed it on the bedside table, clapped his hands so that the lights turned off, and then rolled over as he closed his eyes falling into a deep sleep.

Cloud falls asleep with his ipod and sleeps thru out the night. By the time it was morning Cloud was already up and dress maybe he could get some earily training in before everyone came to the training room. Cause he had an feeling that today was going to be very rough for everyone. He walks out of his room and heads down the hallway. He gathers his things together as he clearly didn't want to made a fool like he almost did yestarday. He looks around making sure no one else was in the simulator before he heads into the simulator.

Sephiroth woke up the next morning to hear his cell going off in his ear. Glancing over he grabbed it as he looked at who was calling. It was Zack. Groaning he flipped it open, and he and the raven haired SOLDIER exchanged words before he managed to push himself out of his bed. Since he forgot to train with the other male, Zack was asking him if they could train today. He told him that he would meet him in one of the simulator rooms in 30 minutes and they could train there.

Leaving his room after he got a quick breakfast he met Zack outside the simulator room. Walking into the room he glanced at one of the simulators, noticing that it was on and running. "Who would be up at this early in the morning?"Glancing at the simulator computer he looked into the camera that monitored their progress he saw that there was a blonde haired person in the training simulator. "Interesting," thought Sephiroth as he turned to Zack. He showed promise, and discipline. Hopefully, he would get through the elimination round today at training. Walking over to Zack, who was already in the simulator, he put the visor on his head and the two of them were thrown into a virtual world where they sparred with one another.

Cloud would react the level he had lost to yestraday and after fighting hard agaisnt them. Cloud manage to defeat them and move on to the next level but he decide to stop. He surely didn't want to make himself tired before the real training had began. He had no idea it was more an elimination round today. Which was twice as good to stop.

He removes the visor from his head and walks out of the simulator. He looks around hearing something next to the other and heads toward the camera and seeing it was Zack and Sephiroth sparring with each other. Cloud stand there for an while to watch them spar. He could tell they was both good as it was no wonder how they made it so far. He soon he felt his stomach growling which stop him from watch. Cloud would go and get something to eat which was nearly time for the rest of them to get up and ready.

Sephiroth closed his eyes as he began to concentrate his opponent in front of him. Opening his eyes he leveled his gaze as he stared hard at Zack who was in front of him. They were both very competitive people, and they also were very offensive people, attacking wise. Sephiroth smirked at Zack, and then charged forward as he slashed outward with his masamune. Zack parried each of his blows with his own sword, the Buster sword.

Sephiroth ended out becoming the victor, which was typically the outcome that always happened as he turned and held his hand out to the raven haired man. Zack took his hand and they both walked out of the simulator together. Sephiroth explained his plan to Zack and he nodded in agreement. The two of them knew that the majority of the people wanted to be SOLDIER members, but there were only so many of them that they could train at a single time. Walking out of the simulator room Sephiroth and Zack went to the dining hall that was reserved for SOLDIER members and other officers.

Cloud was impressed by how Sephiroth fight and his skills would be thru the roof. He pokes his eggs with his fork and stares into his plate. As one of the recuits had over heard Sephiroth and Zack talking eariler when he headed to the dining hall for the recuits about an elimination they was going to do on them. Cloud looks up and sighs some "Great..more pressure.." says to himself. He looks around and looking back to his food and finishes it. He brushes some of his blond hair from his face and stretches some. He wonder about something and it been on his mind since yestarday but he just forced it out his mind cause he didn't want to think about anything else that might get him distracted.

Once everyone was done eatting all the recuits and Cloud heads toward the hall. Some of them was nervous but Cloud show no sights that he was nervous even thought he was. He just wanted this done and over with but that wasn't not going to happen any time soon. As everyone was talking to each other about whatever they think Zack and Sephiroth was going to do to them. Not Cloud as he keeps to himself as he never talked to anyone nor had any friends like most of the recuits was. Cause you never know when your time was up in this business.

Sephiroth and Zack ate their breakfast quickly as Sephiroth went to get another cup of coffee. He knew that he would need it with the coming trials ahead that he would need. Finishing the rest of his coffee he downed his orange juice as well as he made his way out of the cafeteria and down the hallway with Zack following close behind him.

Walking into the training room he waited until the majority of the recruits were in the room as he looked at all of them and said,"Welcome to your second day of training. Look to your left and right. After the end of today, one of those people next to you will not be there. The company has given us way to many recruits to train so to alleviate that we are doing an elimination round. Half of you will be going home. Our first round of matches will begin in an hour. Until that time you are to train and get ready to compete. The rules will be explained at that time." With that being said Zack and Sephiroth went into one of the offices and began making sure that they had all of their files on hand so they could get rid of the correct ones. They would also be making the brackets as well for the matches.

Cloud looks up and watches the two walking inside as most of them didn't know what to expected really. He was mostly one of them but he was aware something like this would happen seeing how many recuits there was. So there was bound to rid some that came. After the two went into the office and the rest of them would start to train. Cloud rubs the back of his neck still didn't much but he wasn't thinking about what would happen. He was more thinking about Sephiroth and Zack mostly as they seem to be alittle bit close than friends. He shakes his head Cloud stop thinking that way.., he thought to himself. He pushes himself off the wall and joins in the rest of them with the training until it was time.

Sephiroth glanced at the various files that he had in front of him. As he looked at the files he grimaced and rubbed his temples. How the heck had some of these people gotten in passed the initial testing. Glancing at Zack he asked how he was doing on the brackets. He said that they were almost done, and then he handed them over to Sephiroth. He glanced over them, and nodded. "We're done then," said Sephiroth as he stood up and walked out of the office.

He saw the recruits training with one another and sparring with one another. Some of them showed great promise, while others deserved to go home. Clearing his throat he said,"Guys gather round. I will be explaining the rules now. There are only a few. This will be a single elimination spar that you will do with one other person. The winner will stay here, and the loser will be escorted out by Zack. There will be no weapons, you will only be fighting with your fists and your legs. Any questions?" Sephiroth scanned the group of people to see if there were any hands raised for questions. Finding none he continued by saying,"Our first round will be Cloud Strife versus Adrian Cunnings. Please step forward."

Cloud looks over at Adrian who was looking at him as well. Cloud had sparred against Adrian and a few others before so he was sure he would be able to read his movements. He takes an step foward takes an deep breath while Adrian moves foward as well with Cloud. They would stand there until Sephiroth gave the signal. Cloud looks over at Adrian and says "Good luck, Adrian." Adrian of course didn't say anything like that some person he was as he would just only give Cloud a nod. Cloud sighs to himself knew who would come out on this round. He would have to give it his all just to beat Adrian.

Sephiroth watched, alongside with Zack, the two other males that were coming up to fight. "So that is Cloud," thought Sephiroth as he looked at each of them. "Begin," he said as he moved over away from the wall.

Cloud runs his hand thought his blond hair. As Adrian goes in with the first hit but Cloud was able to dodge Adrian before his fist hit his face. Adrian goes after him again and kicks Cloud in the gut of course Cloud couldn't counter it fast enought and takes the hit in the cut. Cloud grabs his leg before Adrian got another kick in and flips Adrian back hard enought he landed on the ground hard. Adrian flips back up but thats when Cloud punces Adrian in the face as he stumbles back. Cloud watches his movements to see what Adrian would do next after Adrian regains his blance and runs after. Cloud dodges and Adrian misses only to met and elbow in the back by Cloud.

As this last another 15 mins as both men was fighting strong but Adrian was already was showing tiredness while Cloud still had alittle more energy in him even if he also took the same hits as Adrian. And Cloud would finally land another blow and Adrian would fall back but this time he didn't have the energy to get up from the floor.
