"Never Ending Letters"

After the war of the lands had ended, the ring had been destroyed, those who died will be remembered, wether or not they like it. Others returned to their normal lives, as if it never happened.
But what happens when two best friends can't stop talking even with living in their own kingdoms? Whats going to happen to the ones they say they are love and with now if they love another? Find out...

Aragon was in his own kingdom, he had taken over his crazy father's spot after his father jumped from the high balcony. He had gotten back to Rosie (I think) and little things were being changed. He was fixing up the castle and the village itself, his kingdom needed him, but, at this moment, it seemed like they needed him less as things were being fixed.

Taking things amongst himself, he had free time to spare. Sitting in his bedroom, he sat at the desk, taking out the good parchment paper to write on. Pulling out his ink and quill from the desk he began to write to his dearest friend Legolas, yes the elven bow ranger.

Dear Legolas,

My dearest friend, how have you been? Its been a week since we have last spoken, I was hoping you had yet to forget about me. How are things out there in your kingdom? Is all well? I was simply just checking up on you, I am curious to how things have been changing and I have free time here to spare. I hope you will get this letter and respond, I cannot wait to hear from you.

Dear Aragorn,

My dearest friend, I am so glad to hear from thee! All is well except for my father who gets drunk and becomes the idiot of our race. Sadly things are not going so well and news is not of the greatest. I have fallen ill and our healers are having some difficulty figuring it out. Please write back to me soon.

I am glad to hear back from you, its such a relief. I am sorry to hear of your father, why does he do such things? Not sure if you heard or not, but, the king here had jumped the edge of the kingdom. I took his place for the time being, though my wife Rosie takes most of control. Fallen ill? How so and when did this take place?

Aragon waited for the reply if Legolas was sick then he would want to visit his dearest friend. They had been friends maybe not for the longest time but long enough to understand one another.

We do not know why... Ever since the war ended it is as if he finds his life meaningless. He pressures me to find a wife for my taking but... I don't think I ever will. How goes a the wife hunt on your end dear friend? My sickness started when I returned from Isenguard. As for now I must go. I need some rest before we try the leaches once more.

I have a lady whom is helping me run my kingdom, she does a better job than I do I must say. Yet, I have not seen a maiden I wish to be with, none interest me in the slightest bit. Leaches? Is it that bad? How do you feel of it? Not the leaches I mean.

I see, well at least you are not under constant pressure to find a suitable mate. I have one in mind or at least I think I do, but I highly doubt that anyone would accept this person as my other. And what do you mean when you ask me how I feel of it? How do I feel of what? My dear friend... I am ill and cannot solve your riddles just yet, please be a bit more specific...

Aragorn reads the note and thinks to himself, he kind of felt bad that Legolas might have another and it actually hurt him a bit.

Dear Legolas,

Would you mind if I decided to pay you a visit and ask in person? I know this letter will be short and you might expect more, but, I do not know all what else to say but get well soon.

Aragorn waited for the next letter while wondering if he would ever be told of this person or if he wouldn't like them and maybe that would be why for not saying. He hadn't felt very much happy since the mention of Legolas having a lover or a crush but it made him wonder why Legolas put "love legolas" instead of sincerely or just his name.

(Pronounced as it is spelt.)

Legolas's heart jumped and skipped a beat when asked if he could pay him a visit. 'Silly man... You humans never were one to figure out just how a person feels by their words...' Legolas thought to himself while writing the letter.

Dear Aragorn,

If you want to come and pay the kingdom a visit you may. I will tell the elders of your coming so that they may post men to escort you through the forest. I will try and be healed by the time you arrive. I would hate to be ed ridded for your stay here.

I thank you, if you are still unwell, allow me to help you get better. Might be something I can do to help you.

Well at least he hoped he could help, he had feelings for people but mostly legolas and didn't know what else to say. Would he even know what to do when he arrived?

Legolas put the letter down and did not bother to write another knowing that Aragorn would soon be here and would not receieve that letter before he left. "So... He is comeing here...To visit me..." Legolas blushed slightly at this thought but shook it away. "No... He does not like me like that. He has a wife afterall." He said and laid down as the healers came in and began more treatment.

Aragorn had already left like Legolas thought originally and made his way on horseback down the country side with a few things he could carry that was light. He wanted to rush to his side, like he had all those times before, he didn't want to see him ill and thought maybe he could do something. But what, was the question. There would be no way it could get carried away, sure he had Rose but it wasn't enough. Rose liked another anyways and that just meant they weren't to be together for long. Ignoring his thoughts he took off rushing out until he got to the forest and slowed walking his horse Roheryn taking his time.

(I love this rp and well not to upset ya but I might chose to go to bed after the next post)

The escort group found Aragorn and asked him to identify himself.

Legolas paced his room while wondering if Aragorn was ok. He heard word of him being spotted about an hour ago. He paced and soon grew wery and collapsed onto his bed out of breath. "It's all" Huff huff. "Going to be ok." He said to himself between large gasps of breath. These days he began to grow weaker and weaker him getting much skinnier.

(I can stay on for another hour if you wish, I'm fine with it since i love this rp SO much :O ♥ I am still online jsut hidden fyi)

Aragorn after awhile had arrived in the palace, his horse being taken care of kindly enough, his items were still with him as he was led to Legolas's room, he knocked slightly "Legolas, its Aragorn, are you in there?" he asked wondering why it was so quiet now of all times. It kind of scared him and made him wonder more and more about his good friend.

Legolas heard the door be knocked on and when he heard that it was Aragorn he got up and called to him. "Yes! I am here just a minute." He said and slowly made his way to the door. Then using most of his strength pushed the the lever down and pulled the large wooden door open. When Aragorn saw Legolas he was not in good health. Legolas was very skinny and very much just bones wrapped by skin. He legs seemingly mosterously slim and his hip bones protuding a bit. "Sorry for the barely clothed part. The healers believe that the best way for the body of an elf to absorb healing it to be mostly naked or completly naked." He blushed and turned to walk to his bed. "Pleas come i-" He fells forward as his legs gave out.

Aragorn had listened to him, seeing him like this wasn't good, he was very weak at this moment and by the looks he could tell. Before he could ask anything he saw Legolas fall forward making Aragorn quickly stop him from falling and picked him up "Are you okay?" he asked walking into the room and setting him on the bed, for a moment the touch seemed to linger as Aragorn went to leave the bed to close the door and back to his friend. "Why are you so weak my friend? What has happened to you?"

I am not too sure dear. They believe it to be some sort of parasite. We have never seen anything like this before. They are searching the oldest of the records to see if there is anything in them about what we can do about all of this mess. They say I have only a fortnight before my life will be gone. So... I hope they find out what this is." He said closing his eyes and opening them as he heard someone running to the door. "There is someone at the door with their hands full. Would you min opening it for them please?" He asked the taller man. "I would but I fear I would not make it another step..." He seemed to be losing strength by the minute.

Aragorn listens to him and what he says, wanting to get closer to him and comfort him he nods "Of course" Aragorn stood up and walked to the door opening it for those who had their hands full to come inside and do what they are needed. Aragorn didn't feel sorry for Legolas, he felt pain for him, scared of losing his bestest friend and yet feeling like if he was gone, what would he do? So many thoughts crossed his mind but he waved them away without much try and walked over near the bed.

"Master Legolas!" A small man came bursting through the door to the bed side. "We found it in the old records! We know why you are like this!" Legolas sat up slowly in his bed with obvious struggle but seemingly regaining some strength though not very quickly.

"Tell me what it is so we can fix this problem. Now what it is?" He asked quickly.

"You need to find your mate."

"Oh not this again! How many times have I told all of you that the mate I want I cannot have?!"

"Yes... You have told us many times, but you refuse to tell us who and why."

"I just cant ok. It wont happen. They do not have the same feelings for me..." He said while looking at Aragorn through the corner of his eyes. "Or atleast I don't think they do..."

"Why would it be a matter of healing for him to find a mate? Surely living alone could keep you as healthy, am I wrong?" Aragorn asked in his usual serious tone. It didn't make very much sense, why would the elf die just because he didn't have a mate? It didn't seem like something sane, in fact it sounded oddly strange to him but this was not the life he lived, his life, was more, well it wasn't like this that is for sure.

"I thought it was just a myth to scare young Elf boys into finding a mate faster. As the story goes... The more time an Elf spends without finding a permanent mate the weaer he gets. Something about sharing the balance of life between two people so that no one Elf can become more powerful that the others." The only problem is... The mate I want is not and Elf. So I am guessing that it will not work." Legolas looked to the man who had so recently told him of the news. Do not inform the elders of your findings here and say not a word about my confession. Do you understand? If you do Aragorn here... Will kill you." He said very blatanly before growing weak from so much talking at one time.

Aragorn smirked a bit to try and scare the boy more, he wouldn't do it but he would make sure the boy wouldn't say anything again if it was needed. "Is there more to this or must you stay?" Aragorn wanted to talk to Legolas a bit more without the consent or acknowledgement of others being around. He would wait for the boy to leave to talk to Legolas one on one, he only had two weeks or less to live, and with that little time, there wasn't much time to say anything. Aragorn was on leave from his kingdom while the woman he was with was taking over the kingdom itself but in a strong willed woman's way.

The small Elf looked Aragorn up and down and judged that he was no match. "Ye..Yes sir... That is all."

"Then begon from here." Legolas told the other Elf in a calm and seemingly uncaring tone. The fatigue very prominant in his eyes and the way he moved. "Now my friend." He spoke as the door was closed. "What is it that you would like to discuss. In your last letter you seemed a bit pressed for on isssue." He said his breathing slowly becoming more raged.

"You said you have someone you care for, but, yet you also said that you do not know if they care for you" Aragorn answered easily walking over and sitting on the bed next to Legolas. "Will you tell me of this person that you care for?" Aragorn added wondering who it was to have this elf's heart.
