Yep, it is the sad reality. Our world as a whole has grown a 'me, me, all about me,' mentality. And us givers have to shield ourselves or we will be used up and tossed away. I am naturally that person who will give everything in me I have to give, but there are too many out there that will take advantage of that.

I am the same way,
And unfortunately, I've been taken advantage of so many times that it gets to the point where I actually will start questioning people who need help because I am concerned that they might be trying to use me. :c
It's sad, but I still help people as much as I can anyway!
