...Pumpkin reminds me of... Halloween...
Things that I don't like.

But hmm... We have something like the topper? O__O
I don't recall it... x.x

I kinda feel the pumpkin's hands are too thin. flimsy... how can it support the fat punpkin body? XD

This is the pumpkin thing I'm talking about: xD

Well, pumpkins come out of the cornucopia. They're less sinister and more harvesty, though.

I know but I can't seem to design them the way I want them.

---------- Post added 09-05-2013 at 01:58 PM ----------

At first, I was giving him peg legs and I was like amg.

I am thinking grapes... when mentioning cornucopia...
I never notice that pumpkin thing... XD Why don't you do the similar type in acorn style?

Peg legs..? At least it sounds fatter than one pixel.

True. Everything I have is saved in separate layers cause I'm using Photoshop.
So, I can keep going back and working on them. I have no tiff about that loololl

I just get frustrated and do something else > w >;;

Pumpkins!

Well, I actually just think of lots and lots of corn because of its name. Like there's a UTOPIA of corn!

Ohh, I have tried. That's what I failed on. It looked more like, uhm, series of scribbles.
I'm not sure if I should just ditch the scales of the acorn top and make a flat surface or not.

At the centre of that picture... is that... a albino pumpkin? O__O

How about the yellow flowers? Are they daisies?

Yeps! The white pumpkins are nice. I don't know how they come about, though. Some kind of mutation.
And the flowers... maybe they are? I'm not sure.

---------- Post added 09-05-2013 at 02:17 PM ----------

There are white gourds too. Not in that picture, though. I'm just saying ~

gourds doesn't seem popular... don't even heard that ever mentioned.

What other things are autumn inspired? My place is either summer or rainy... no autumn for me. T__T

They're ugly. I wouldn't think they would be, rofl
Unless a professional carver, carved something out of them.

The changing of the leaves*, pine cones, hay stacks, pears, grapes, foxes, apples, apple cider, cinnamon, owls, squirrels, those red berries (idk what they're called), and etc.

Autumn Tree Tattoo - Commission by ~Angela-T on deviantART
Autumn Again.. by ~And-I-Walk-Alone on deviantART - a acorn, \ o /
Autumn Harvest by ~vesssper on deviantART - this ones shows mushrooms ( i guess they're autumn? )
autumn impressions by ~IndianRain on deviantART - these mushrooms look more autumn
Autumn by *JacquelineBarkla on deviantART - cobwebs
Fruits of Autumn. by ~magnesina on deviantART - these red things
.: autumn ladybug :. by ~all17 on deviantART - maybe a ladybug?

I would also assume those red plants would be autumny too (idk what they're called either) but they use them for decorations for Christmas. And any animal that's a scavenger, I would also assume would be a autumn critter since scavengers start packing food for the winter during fall season (the movie Thumbelina @Disney, displays it perfectly).

THE BEFORE

Idkw, the acorn just didn't want to work with me on the hairpin. lul
I know the avis here are a distraction but I just wanted a target placement of the items.

*EDIT*
THE AFTER - currently.

Here's quick update. I up'd the acorns in the earrings and changed the coloring
If you notice on the acorn choker, there's an "M" where the acorn is cradled. o:

I don't know if it throws off the lighting but I think it makes it more spiffy.

Awww! \ o /
I used to like eating pumpkin seeds. I kinda liked pumpkin pie but I got over it pretty quickly, lul

Thank chu, Mariabby!
Ah, I know. Xu mentioned that too. But I don't want to make regular fan wearing clothes for the acorn. We have a lot of that stuffuu. I have fairy designs in mind but I thought the contest was for items to go on both. So, I just stuck with making accessories so far.

awh, well, can you tell me how thick the limbs would be in harmony for the pumpkin friend?
I'm unsure myself. When I try, it's just goop.

---------- Post added 09-05-2013 at 06:03 PM ----------

But here's what I started on the acorn top:

I want open sleeves at the top but I'm wondering if the outfit would be good w/o sleeves and let it be a halter top for both m&f.

Do you mean the thickness of the pumpkin friend's arms and legs? I think it's cute as thinner lines. Maybe play with it being 2 or 3 pixels thick and see which one you like best.

Of I like the idea for the acorn shirt so far.

I feel as though the triangle parts on the bottom aren't centered with the belly button. Since the avvie is more 3/4 view, not full front, I tend to center things over the belly button, not actually over the center of the avvie.

I think maybe playing without the sleeves would cool. Although I wonder how that would look for males XDDD Maybe make it more like t-shirt sleeves for males and the cuter short sleeves for females?

Yeah, the thickness of the arms and legs. Thank you, I'll try doing that.

Oh, the design of the shirt on the bottom was just random. I'm not too sure if I want it shaped like triangle arch or I want the bottom of the shirt to have a oval arch. But yes, the alignment of the belly button and the shirt is off xD I've only focused on getting the acorn scales visible enough. lul

Well! It'd be like those smexy shirts the males have... I forget what they're called, it's the one I'm wearing.
The escort shirts! That's what they're called. I wanted to design the sleeves like that but short. @ w @;

Though, I'll try it the ways you've suggested and go from there. I guess I can't fight the sleeves

Since acorns are pointed at the bottom - maybe just do one point at the bottom? It would literally be like an acorn XD

...Wowy~! \O/ More pictures~ thanksies~

Acorn... gives me the feeling of solid.
I don't think the two straps of sleeves works.
Don't you want to try collar with solid short sleeves?
Instead of literally the acorn scale, you can use those tartan design to represent the acorn scales. The shape of scales look kinda like fish scale... x.x

Oh... is that going to change drastically? XD lol.
Because your acorn scale is pretty detail, I thought it is near completion.

If you want it to be fairy light, you should have an idea what kinda fairy like design it is?
Thin cloth? half transparency? flowy drapes?

Mmm, I'm thinking more along the lines of TinkerBell converging with "Fairy Tale" movie (based on a True Story).

And yes, I've changed it. I think it turned out better since I started with circles, I just collapsed one edge into itself.
Nuuu, I'm not done unless I say I'm done. loololl Or give up.

This is what it has changed to:

And no, the shirt isn't going to be that dark xD

---------- Post added 09-06-2013 at 12:24 AM ----------

At least, not the bottom part of it anyway. I know the acorn scales need lightened.

xD I wanted the acorn scales to be like a topper and that's just how it turned out.
It does look better, so I agree too.

Although, it'd be faster if I drew the whole outfits out instead of pixeling.
Then someone could take it from there LOL (○`ε´○)/\(○`ε´○)

For that shirt, I'm not too sure how I'll get the swoop indentations shaded right.
I know it's going to be like cradle wrinkles for the most part

What swoop indentations?
Drawing it out is faster... with just a few swoop and bigger space to draw.
Instead of getting all OCD with e.v.e.r.y. damn pixel. D:

Hey, I've tried not to be that way! ; A ;

The swoop shading--you know, like it coming from the sides of the waist and cradling the wrinkles.
If I'm confusing you, it's best just not keep wondering about it XD

The only thing I see that fit the description of indentation is the acorn scales...
but then... since we call it scales or pattern or topper... I don't get why you suddenly use another term.
So I think... it is something else you are referring to.

Wrinkles? You meant the fold?

And yes, I mean the folds of the fabric of the shirt.

I haven't exactly started on the bottom part or continued on the shirt yet.
But here's what the pants is going to be like: Project ACORN by ~DarknessampLight on deviantART
I made a quickie sketch of the stuff I've made so far and the shorts I want to create xD
