Taken aback, Rosemary didn't speak for a moment. Then, slowly, outrage set in. "I resent the implication that we would be so cruel! Gale and I came to seek out any survivors, and offer them sanctuary. While we do harbor hopes of new recruits, we would hardly force anyone, and neither of us would ever be so callous as to come here in your worst hour simply to gloat. We have more honor than that." She told him in a matter-of-fact tone.

Gale sighed, a long huff of hot air that gently ruffled Rosemary's hair and clothes. "That being said, is there anything we can do to help?" He asked. His tone made him sound much older and wiser than he really was, but it spoke volumes of the things he had seen over the years.

"......-sigh- if I had to be honest with you, me and Dverya have been debating on whether we should tag along with you, or connect with Sorindeus, and the rest of the Forsworn in the Coast-lands. We have no idea who attacked us, a we can guess is that they came from one of the Safe Haven cities. They were obviously well funded " Synderion said

Rosemary frowned. "I do apologize for your misfortune. I wish I could tell you who had attacked- wait. Actually, I may be able to tell you who it was. I'm not sure, but if we can get our surveillance feed from this area, we could possibly tell you who it was that attacked. We don't have any footage of your base specifically, but we have some intel for the areas around here." She offered kindly. It was as if their earlier battle had not happened at all.

"Keep in mind that there is no guarantee that this will work. But you are welcome to stay with us either way." Galebrind added. Neither of them seemed the slightest bit concerned that the remaining Forsworn may betray their location. To them, honor existed above everything else, it it didn't make sense to sell out someone who had helped you.

Rverya didn't even need to say it : he wouldn't sell them out. It was a common fact that all Forsworn, if the circumstances came up, would treat others with the honor they treated to their brothers. If their interests aligned, they had no reason for it, and nothing to gain from it. "Seems like our odds are slim alone. Tagging along with you, for the time being anyway, seems to be our best bet. "he said.

Rosemary nodded. "Then you are welcome. Tell your brethren that we will escort you to our base as soon as you are able." She told him. She knew they wouldn't sell them out- after battling with the man, she had a good idea of what kind of person he was.

"We have no choice. We could go to the Coast-lands, and Contact the rest of our Organization, but that's over a thousand miles away, and even then, they wouldn't come back in time to stop these people. "He said. "Besides them, the only other strong-hold of ours I can think of is Mist-peak, deep in Dragon Territory. They're the best of our Dragon-riders, but even then, I have no way to contact them. "He said to her. "Sticking with you is probably our best option of finding these bastards, and putting them six-feet under. "he said.

"I shall tell the others. "He said, limping over back to the rest of them. All of them were disdain with the idea of siding with, who they considered, 'pacifists', but they understood that the stakes demand it.

Lethe’s wings beat against the air, muscles sliding over one another as he ascended. His maw was red from where the doe’s blood had stained it, his talons still glistening with the ruby color. Though his stomach wasn’t full, his scars did not ache – to him, this was a blessing. For now, he was satisfied. But he couldn’t stay idle forever – he had to keep moving.

Not yet had he found a place to settle for the night - and while there appeared to be plenty of time he had to make sure the area was safe before truly bunking down. It was at times like this that Lethe cursed his glittering white scales – he couldn’t be camouflaged on the ground during any month other than winter. This is also why he tried to keep to the sky as often as he could, for at a quick glance he seemed like a cloud drifting on the winds currents.

If he found a clearing with a lake, it would be all the better. The element comforted Lethe in a way he couldn’t explain but he knew it had to do with his past. But with his memories lost – or taken from him – he took what he could get. If he found a lake deep enough he could stay the night in its waters for he found that it made for a near-perfect camouflage. His heart ached with the idea of deep waters, a memory brushing against his mind but pulling away almost immediately.

Higher he flew until his wings beat against the clouds and he reveled in the feeling of the fine droplets of water brushing against his scales, soothing the internal burn of his scar tissue. The air caressed him as he soared.

He flew until the trees melted away into dust and dry heat – until he had gone too far. Lethe was about to turn back when the faint earthy smell of ash and the tart scent of decay flushed over him. Pausing in his flight he looked underneath him to see what scent been able to reach him at this height.

Below him Lethe could see a vague smudge against the ground and so he began to spiral downwards, keeping his descent slow. When the details could be seen clearer he stopped and, using his gift, enlarged one of the lower-flying clouds for cover.

It was a human settlement, raided and razed and blackened with the stench of death. He huffed in contentment. When humans fought each other it lessened his work in trying to rid the earth of their plague. It reinforced his belief that if humans would kill their own kind then they wouldn’t hesitate in slaughtering his Kin. Humans were a disease that, for the betterment of the earth, must be eradicated.

Rosemary raised an eyebrow. "You don't need to explain your reasoning. Tell me, though. What will your friends think of this situation? I understand they probably don't have the best impression of my Dragonriders." She asked. Rosemary knew that if these people got to see how she operated, they would rethink their opinion. The Dragonriders were far from pacifists, just because they sought peace.

Gale shifted uneasily. "Rosemary. I think we should get going. I am concerned for the others, especially the girl. She was wounded when we left." He said.

(happydeath: sorry it took so long to reply i had lost internet for a bit)

Laila was getting fustrated, no matter how many times she try to draw and explain to Chance about the other two dragons. Her pictures just did not come out clear enough for him to understand, she looked at him with her ruby red eyes, a pleading look in them as if to beg him to understand. In times like this is when she truly wish that she was able to communicate as any normal dragon could.

Chance on the other hand had to leave the village and his practice as the female he had been trying to help out, found out about Laila. As being the person that he was he couldn't let her kill his only family which is why he was so far from civilization in the first place. As he stared at the drawing that the white dragon had draw. Into the ground, he couldn't understand any of it, but it did show him that she was worried and anxious about something. He met the red eyes with his blue ones, searching them for a few minutes before he reached a hand out to let her in a comforting way as he went back to studying the pictures.

The female reptile gave a silent cry of surprise at the two dragons landing before them, she sat back on her hind legs before wrapping her wings around the human doctor as she pulled them close. She tried to be menacing as she could, but how menacing can a mute dragon be when no sounds came out, and on top of all that she didn't even have fire to help her be even more scary.

Chance was taken by surprise at being close to the under belly of a creature where they tend to be a little bit more vulnerable, well Laila was more vulnerable there. He listened to the words spoken before he came oh into sight once more, resting a hand on the glittering white scales as he thought. "I am Chance. This is Laila and we are both healers. As for what I am doing out here.....that is something that is my own business." he said to him after a while, after all he still did not know where this massive dragon's loyalties lay. He eyed the dragon, standing ready to attack or flee if he needed too.

The wind shifted as Akira silently crouched behind a large mossy oak tree. Her golden colored eyes searched through the layer of fog that began to settle over the swamp like area. Waterproof boots seemed to provide all the protection her feet needed in such a climate, but being mostly white they had easily became filthy as she began navigating through the thick tangle of roots and vines that slithered through the swamp like hundreds of twisted snakes. Somewhere another pair of eyes watched the woman sneak through the territory, a large set of razor sharp teeth ready to tear away flesh, limbs, and bone if need be. This creature was not afraid of the talented woman.

Akira smiled as she knelt down and found another one of the herbs she had been gathering. Sundew and Bogbean could be a difficult plant to find considering this area is so treacherous. She plucked the plant from the waters and carefully washed the roots and then placed it in her bag. Medicinal herbs were plentiful in this location, as well was poison. Noticing some Poison Sumac, she quickly stood and swiftly moved to gather the poisonous plant as well. She carefully plucked the plant from the ground and placed it in a different bag that she used to carry non-medicinal plants. Akira was not the best warrior, the best archer or sword slinger, but she had the advantage of knowing the plants, the lands, the waters, and how to use them.

After gathering plants until her bags were bulging full, she eased her way through the vines and towards the edge of the swamp. She was aware of the pair of eyes watching her, knew that what was watching her could easily annihilate her with little effort, but she pressed on. Emerging from the swamp, Akira was now walking through a dry field of yellowing grasses and weeds. A branch broke and a low growl echoed into her ears.

"It isn't going to work. Give it up, Sapphire." Akira smirked, continuing to walk through the field. A more whiny like growl escaped the white dragon's throat as she appeared beside Akira. Her slender form and the way she quietly walked next to her rider revealed her gracefulness. She wasn't heavy or bulky, but slim and light. Sneaky was a good way to put it.

There was nothing more for Lethe to find here. The humans were likely all dead - no need for him to clean up their mess. He dove down through the air a little further, gaining momentum before pulling up and shooting forward. His wings pumped powerfully behind him. Below him the human settlement shrunk away to a spot in the distance until, finally, the forest began again and the blackened blob was no longer visible.

This time, though, he veered to the left, swooping over parts of the forest he had not checked before - and was lucky. There was a smallish clearing dominated by a lake - the waters a dark blue. Though, as Lethe learned from experience, this did not always mean the water was deep enough to hide his bulk. If not he'd take refuge in the trees - they would at least give him a little more cover.

He dipped down slowly, circling above once, twice, before finally landing. The gust created by his wings caused ripples over the lake, the grass flattening and leaves bending from the force. On the ground he tucked his wings tight behind him - a loose wing was cause for trouble, something he knew only too well. Lethe padded over to the water, lowering his head and taking a few gulps. If it wasn't a good hiding spot it was at the very least good enough to drink and bathe in. Not to mention, should he be attacked, would be a very easy to use, right on hand weapon to use.

The water was colder than he was expecting when he finally waded into it. The middle of the lake came up to just below his shoulders - if he curled up on the bottom, he would be hidden. Not very well, the water still to shallow for his liking, but it was good enough. Most humans - and those of his kin - never checked the water for a dragon if they weren't by the ocean. It was an oversight he gladly took advantage of.

He sighed and sunk down into the depths, keeping a bubble of air around his nose and mouth - though it was unnecessary as he could breathe the water as if it were oxygen. Lethe closed his eyes but kept his ears trained for any noises coming from above.

It would not do to get caught unawares.

Akira glanced over at her white dragon and smiled playfully. "You know, Sapphire, perhaps one of these days you will listen to me. You can't sneak up on me. I know you too well, silly girl." The woman cocked her head and grinned as she blue eyed dragon snorted and playfully shoved Akira with her long tail that finned out at the end which made it convenient for guiding the dragon through the waters. "Well, are you ready to go? We found a nice load of plants and I am eager to put my magic to work." Releasing a low growl, the dragon pouted. "I know girl, you'd rather stay out here, huh? You miss the ocean... I do too, Sapphire. We shall go there sometime soon, but for now.."

Akira jumped up and grabbed a hold of Sapphire's left wing and hauled herself up onto the wild dragon's back. Sapphire was raised from no egg, but was a entirely free and wild dragon until Akira came along. A apart of Sapphire was very much wild still. The dragon almost resisted, but snarled and flickered her long fork tongue at the woman, almost teasingly. "Oh, hush you. And come on, lets go back to that town.."

And with that, Sapphire launched off the ground. Her massive wings creating sharp winds and causing the nearby trees to wing beneath. She flew higher until she was level with the clouds. Wisps of them pulled at Akira's hair as Sapphire drifted in and out, weaving through the air. While flying, they were one and Akira saw what Sapphire did. Their bond was complete and unbreakable. Riding without any need of a saddle or reins only proved they were closer than most riders with their dragons and many humans almost feared their connection. It made them powerful together, but Akira wasn't a killer or a warrior. Sapphire, however, had made a bad name for herself when she had thrown a temper tantrum and leveled one village..

"Easy, Sapphire. We are approaching a small village.. Don't frighten the people." Akira smiled softly and Sapphire's speed lightened as she descended. The ground became much closer and the woman could make out the villagers going about their daily lives. She was bring them medicine which she sold much cheaper than local merchants and towns. Akira was able to easily obtain the medicinal herbs and had little use for money, but she still had to eat and feed Sapphire. Helping the villagers was a huge part of her life.

"Gently now.. You know what too much wind and power can do, girl." Sapphire leveled and landed with a soft thud close to the village. Extending her powerful wing in a slide like structure, her rider was able to easily slide down. On the ground again, Akira began heading towards the village. "Sapphire, go on now. I'll be fine and you could use some exercise. Go be free for a bit" The woman smiled at the dragon and entered the village, hearing the ground crumbling beneath Sapphire's feet and felt the gust of wind as the dragon took off. "You be safe, Akira. I'll always be close by if you need me.."

Synderion returned. "They're not happy about it, but they all agree it's best if we stick together......however, they're asking if your making a Contract with the Zverya. "He said. To the Forsworn, A Contract was a sworn oath on paper. The Terms were simple : They would fight for said person for a set period of time, and then, when all was said and done, Payment would be taken. Note, Payment was cut up well, due to Expenses, Room and Board, and Utilities. "I'm not saying you have to, but it would make thing's a hell of a lot easier. "He said.

"Wait, you said computers?" he asked. "I'm a tech wizard. Our whole bunker was re-purposed technology I managed to salvage. If your having Tech problems, I could easily fix them. "he said.

Rosemary shook her head. "I don't mind. If it would make your brethren feel better, then I will sign a contract. As I said, I offer you free room and board." She said amiably. "We have someone working on our technology, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind a little help." She added.

"Rosemary." Gale rumbled uneasily. "We should go now." Rosemary nodded. "I'll sign your contract, and then we ride." She said. Gale shifted his wings.

Rverya pulled out a Data Pad, and handed it to her. It's terms were fair 'By signing this, I agree to pay said Forsworn Cell, an amount of 1000 credits. I also agree to allow Free Access of any assets needed to be allowed to complete job assignment. I finally agree to providing free room and board to said Cell.'. Given how normal Forsworn cells (weak one's at that) usually cost around 100 thousand, this was a deal. "Money isn't exactly what I'm after, but I do need to be able to purchase what we need. "she said.
